SPEED LUBE

Speed Lube changed the oil in my vehicle on 5/2/2015. When removing the drain plug the threads in the oil pan were stripped. The manager (Rich) explained to me what happened and told me that it looked like the prior oil change was done by WalMart. He claimed they overtightened the plug resulting in the threads being stripped when Speed Lube remove the plug. I explained to him that the last oil change (done on 1/10/15) was also done at Speed Lube. Rich was able to get the plug back in the pan and told me that it would hold until the next change but that a dealership would need to make repair to the plug and pan. He also revised his story at that time and told me that being overdue for an oil change caused pressure on the pan thus causing the plug to tighten (I was told later by 3 other service mechanics that this is completely untrue). My car started leaking oil later that day. On 5/9/15 I took my estimate for repair (nearly $500) from Toyota to Speed Lube and explained that I expected Speed Lube to cover the repair. Rich denied responsibility and gave me the number to the Speed Lube headquarters and said they would have to handle it. I have been through 3 levels of management and have yet to be compensated for damages. Speed Lube employees have repeatedly blamed WalMart even after they confirmed with WalMart themselves that WalMart hasn't serviced my vehicle since May 2014. They even went so far as to accuse me of filing a claim with WalMart for damages, saying that WalMart's corporate office called Speed Lube's corporate office to advise them of this. I had to pay for repair from my own pocket because the oil leak got worse and driving the vehicle any longer would have caused further damage. Over 2 weeks ago I was told that I would receive a call from the president of Speed Lube but I have yet to receive that call.
