There's two owners and I think their deal is good guy/bad guy deal. With the couch we paid someone that they deal with to move to couch out of our house and the guy charged us 50 dollars to go a mile to their shop. The long and short of it, it didn't sell, I dropped the price two or three times. I talked to one owner who was unpleasant I had to get it out of there soon. When you call there you never know who youre going to get. I told her I would make arrangements to get the couch out of there. They have a wonderful charity and everything these folks take in is resold and it helps woman and children. Its all run by volunteers. So I talked to this lady and told her that I would be back with her in a couple days. Meanwhile I called and made arrangements to pick up the couch. I called to tell them arrangements had been made and the original lady wouldn't talk to me and said "just a minute" and right away my antenna goes up and another woman gets on the phone and didn't let me get a word in and said we are keeping the couch and they just confiscated it. When we paid this man to take the couch down there in the midst of packing we didn't get down for several days so we walk in there and they have 200 dollars marked on the couch. Nothing was every said about the price on it and I said that couch was 800 dollars and I don't even know if its two years old. My point being is that because they knew we were going out of town they were going to take that couch and we wouldn't know if it was sold or not. I had worked with this lady and I said that isn't your couch and she told me to look at my contract. I was going to donate the couch so the woman who was not a nice person decided well no and literally confiscated it. We're down here in Arizona and on the contract it says after a period of time the property is theirs. I signed the contract but I had been in contact with these folks in the 5 months we've been down here and they never told us to get the couch out of here now. What a terrible way to do business and they shorted this wonderful charity. I've never ran into anything like it ever, they definitely took advantage of us. My husband said some things you have to let go of and I just can't afford to get all stressed and it really made me angry.
