This is the WORST experience I've had with a repair shop of any kind. They have held my tv hostage for over two weeks (July 1st - July 18th). Every time I call, the tv had a different problem and they are not specific on when I can expect it to be finished. I have gotten calls on the progress from one person who told me that he didn't even work there. This whole thing is a train wreck. I doubt ill see my tv again and they still got $65 from me for "parts." Do not employ their services! Their new address is 8914 Ogden Ave. in Brookfield IL 60513. The phone number listed is still the working number. I have been talking primarily with a person named Dominick. There was also a Dan Kaiser who said he had retired. When I asked for his last name, he didn't want to give it at first and later gave me this one. Probably made it up. These folks are thieves.

Got my TV working again in 3 days and that included waiting time for the part to be delivered.  I've used them in the past and Dan has been the tech the times I've used them and as usual he is on time, efficient, insists on putting everything back the way it was and he's funny too.

The projection bulb burnt out on out Sony HD television and we called for a replacement on Friday. They called back said they had the bulb and came out first thing Saturday morning. There were 2 servicemen, both extremely polite and professional. I would absolutely call Certified Electronics for any television service. There was no extra charge for weekend service and they completed the replacement in less than 30 minutes.

The two technicians were very knowledgeable and diagnosed my TV problem quickly, provided me with an estimate for a new part, and returning to install it a few days later. They were also very polite -- even took off their shoes.shutt

We were very pleased to have found this business. They are definitely very skilled at what they do. It is nice to know that a business exists that is able to make repairs at a reasonable cost on today's electronics.

I was experiencing the Samsung power recycling problem, due to cheap capacitors installed by Samsung. I logged on to Angie's list, and found 2 places. This one was the only one interested in the job.

My HD TV suddenly stopped turning on for no readily apparent reason. I took it to Certified Electronics, which I had found through Angie's List. Dan diagnosed the problem, fixed it, and the TV was ready for pick up the same day. Dan and his crew are very friendly and professional, and I was very pleased to have the problem resolved so quickly.

My television went out and I had no picture or sound. The "lamp" troubleshooting light on the television was not illuminated, but the power/standby light was blinking red. Representatives from Sony worked with me over the phone and advised that the problem was not a burned out lamp or the unit overheating but, rather, was an internal problem that required a technician. When I called Certified Electronics I spoke with Dan and told him what was going on. Dan gave me a rough diagnosis of the probable issue and advised that the price probably would be around $330.00. When I asked where to bring the television, Dan told me not to worry about it - that he would pick it up first thing the next morning and bring it in himself. As promised, Dan (and his co-worker Greg) picked up my television first thing the next day, provided a receipt for the television and took it to the shop. Later that same afternoon I received a call from Dan advising that the only thing wrong with the television was a burned out lamp. Dan said he replaced the lamp and cleaned out the interior of the unit, as well as all connections, so as to ensure a longer life on the new lamp. When I asked about picking up the television Dan said he would simply drop it off on his way home from work that evening. As promised, at 6:30 that night, Dan and Greg were back with my television. As I began writing out the check for payment, Dan and Greg carried the television to the family room, put it in place and began plugging it in! I finished plugging in all the accessories (as I did not expect them to do this) and they patiently waited so that I could view the television and ensure that it worked before they left. Dan and Greg were extremely friendly, professional and honest. They easily could have stuck me with the $330 bill that was originally estimated and I never would have known the difference. Instead, they were honest, did only what needed to be done and charged me less than originally estimated. How often does that happen anymore? Additionally, they picked up and delivered my television from my house. Needless to say, I asked for their business card and it now has a home in my rolodex. I definitely will be using them again if the need arises and I will highly recommend them to friends and family.
