Came out the day after we called and set up some traps. Overall it took about a month for them to catch them all.
Overall a good experience with this company. Thank you for your help.

Skunk had been trapped in window well for 2 days. Other animal control places either could not come out or wanted ridiculous amounts of money to come because it was a weekend. Critter Detectives not only had the best price, but they committed to a time to come, called back to confirm the time, and were on time. The skunk was rapidly and professionally extracted without spraying. They did a tremendous, professional, and quick job.

We had many skunk this summer and we had one appeared this spring so we are hoping that they are gone but we are on a look out. We also used them last June when we saw from in Angie's List. They are very responsive and very good.

I was happy from the start when I worked with Critter Detectives. They were informative during my initial phone call and priced very reasonably. They came out the next day to inspect my roof and install the cage. While we did not catch the raccoon we were able to close off his entry into the roof. I called the Critter Detectives every other day to inform them of the progress. It has been over a week and no raccoon sighting or noise has been heard. If he does come back I am calling Critter Detectives.

It went pretty good. It was a week long process. They answered my questions and called me about updates.

It was easy to make an appointment and Lou arrived on time. He checked our roof and attic and did not find evidence of animals in the attic. He did note areas where our roof wasn't properly installed and took pictures for us to show our contractor since water damage was causing the paint to peel. He was very professional and I highly recommend him!

A skunk had been trapped in our window well for more than a day, refusing our efforts to encourage to leave on its own. We called Lou on a Sunday morning and asked if he could do the job that day, as we didn't want to wait another day and have the skunk expire or spay the house. Lou gave us the price over the phone, which included a reasonable emergency surcharge. He came at the first available chance, which was exactly when he initially told us he would come. Lou had the skunk out and gone within 15 minutes without causing it to spray or making any mess.

Our dog got sprayed by a skunk and when we saw it creeping around our deck again in broad daylight we knew we needed to get someone out asap. We called other companies that said they couldn't get anyone out for at least a week. Critter detectives came out the next morning. They even offered to come out that night for an emergency fee. We have set traps three other times in the past and never caught a thing. We caught the skunk immediately this time. They will leave the trap for as long as you would like it for no extra charge whereas other companies have a time limitation and will recharge you.

Skunks where not trapped, possibly left after my son scared them and was sprayed. Had the trap set to make sure they were gone. We haven't seen them since.
They were very professional and courteous. They responded to my calls immediately. They offered services to cover and secure hole but my husband decided to do it himself due to the change he is going to make in that area of the porch.

They were extremely knowledgeable and professional. Came out even on holidays to remove the caged animals. I hope I don't ever have the need to do this again, but if I do, I will call Critter Detectives.

Around 1am on 11/14/2012, I was awake and in the kitchen. I heard a strange noise and then some scratching in the ceiling above. I wasn't sure what it was, but knew something was moving in the attic. I checked Angie's List for local services that handle this sort of thing. In the morning, I called Critter Detectives and spoke with Lou. I explained what happened. He scheduled Robert, I believe, to come out. He said it would be in the afternoon and Robert would call beforehand which he did. Robert came around 3:30 or 4pm. I explained what I heard. He said judging by from the hour I heard the noise it was probably mice or a racoon. He set up his ladder and did an inspection of the entire outside of the house including the roof. Then he came in the house. He told me he did not see any holes big enough to allow a raccoon inside. He did see a smaller hole near the backdoor by the kitchen which was a good candidate for entry into the attic. He suggested I fill the hole with steel wool and a foam spray which has rodent repellant in it. Both are available at the hardware store. Next we went into the attic. My attic is divided into three sections. The front part is unheated and there were no obstructions on the attic floor. We crawled around and he found some evidence of mice in one corner of the space. The center part of the attic is finished space. The back part of the attic is unfinished and was covered with two layers of insulation batting on the attic floor so it was not possible to crawl around. This is the area above the kitchen where I heard the noise. He suggested I also buy some Tom Cat bait blocks from the store and throw them into the back attic and place some in the front attic. He said the bait blocks would make the mice dehyrdated and they would probably go looking for water, most likely outside, and die. However, they might die inside the house, too. He said their service included a thirty day window where I could call back without an additional service charge. He said they could set five traps for me. Checking the traps would cost $55.
The next day, I was off and went to the hardware store. I bought the steel wool, foam spray and bait blocks. I filled the hole with the steel wool and foam spray. I placed the bait blocks in both the front and back attic areas. I lifted up the attic batts where I could I put down the bait blocks as close to the floor as I could.
I called an insulation expert to find out what I could do to move the batts off the floor. That's another report.
When I got the insulation batts removed, I called Critter Detectives again and Robert came out. I showed him how I pulgged up the hole. He checked the front and back portions of the attic which was now clear of the batts. He checked the bait blocks to see if they had been eaten which they had not. He placed five traps in the attic, three in the back and two in the front. He said I could keep an eye on them or if I wanted them to come out it would be a $55 charge.
Since then the traps caught two mice which I have disposed of.
Overall, I'm happy with their service. I think they know their job and do it well. The bait blocks don't seem to have been disturbed. It could be the mice aren't interested in them.
Recently, I set out some additional traps and have not caught anything. I'm not sure if the mice are gone or not.
I recently did a Google search about getting rid of mice and found several people who said to soak cotton balls in peppermint oil and place them around the house. Mice apparently do not like the smell. I did that, too.

There is a per visit charge when they remove an animal. They will allow you to let visits accumulate up to a certain number and then pay a lump sum. You are required to call with an update prior to nine each morning. I would use them again.

Had skunks living under patio....they diagnosed the problem, were patient and thorough in setting/baiting the traps, even had them fence the patio to avoid the problem in the future

I paid them $30 to set up traps, and nothing ever happened. They did not catch anything. I had to call them every morning to let them know if there was a critter in the cage or not. I did this for about 3 weeks and they got nothing. However, their responsiveness and punctuality was good.

I called Critter Detectives and they were able to come out and set up the first trap right away. Their staff would come by the house and climb up the ladder to remove the trap and set up the next trap while we were at work so we never had to take time off. Critter Detectives staff were always professional and responsive to our needs and even gave us tips on what to do to avoid having racoons use our roof as their toilet.

For the past couple of years we have been having a raccoon tear up our lilly pond and I finally had enough. Called Lou w\Critter Detectives and he had a trap set the next day. Within a few days we had the raccoon in the trap. We kept the trap for another week and ended up trapping a possum as well. Lou and his crew were constantly changing out the bait and were responsive to my questions. Will definitely call on them again with any future critter issues.

They have been easy to work with and have taken care of our squirrel problem. They don't harm them; they have little cages and after they trap them they relocate them. I will use them again in the future.
