We are still looking for a new bed.

I am writing today to express my complete and utter disappointment with Carsons Furniture. My husband and I bought a Stearns & Foster mattress four years ago with a 10-year warranty. The purchase was made at a Carsons Furniture, and the mattress was delivered and installed by Carsons. The bed has now inverted in several sections, resulting in major back and joint pains for both of us. We called Carsons to make them aware of the problem and to seek corrective actions, only to have Carsons respond that they are not going to declare our bed frame inadequate and thereby they will void the warranty. As it stands, there are only two explanations for this response. It is either gross negligence on Carsons part - in failing to clearly define the bed frame requirements for the warranty at the point of purchase or installation; Or their warranty policies are completely unethical and duplicitous, set with the intent to charge the consumer and then refusing to honor the warranty when the product fails. I am completely appalled and shocked to receive such a response from an institution with such a long-standing history and reputation. They have lost not only a customer, but also a fair amount of credibility within our community.

I made the mistake of purchasing a bookcase and large curio cabinet from Carson's Furniture Gallery in Lombard. The salesperson was fine, but the delivery service was extremely unprofessional and sub par. I met the delivery truck in the building's parking lot to guide the men to the service door. Looking inside the truck, I could see that most of the furniture was not padded or wrapped. And when my furniture was brought to my unit unwrapped with doors sliding on the curio, I saw the scratches. Duh - this is why furniture should be wrapped and padded. The delivery men could not have cared less and told me " what did I expect with a floor sample?" No, it was not. To add insult to injury they spent time griping about how many deliveries they still had to make and complaining about their jobs. Sure, I need to listen to them complain and have them ignore the damage they did to my furniture. Very unprofessional, will never shop here again.

the desk is nice; arrived on time. The payment plan experience was something else. I had the money to pay in full for the desk, but they offered 6 months no interest so i agreed. Three months later i get dinged on my credit report for not paying the full amount each month. Found out they had started adding interest. I called and faxed the agreement 6 times and they never corrected not retracted the ding on my credit - Will never use their store again - EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

This is a great store to work with. The customer service is excellent, and the sales people are always willing to give you the best price they can. If a sale starts next week, they'll hold the order a few days to get you another 10 or 20% off. On our latest order she called back a few days after we placed it and said a free delivery offer was going into effect the next week and she got approval to apply it to our order, so we saved an unexpected $50. I shop around on price and theirs are quite competitive for the quality of the merchandise. Their delivery service has been on time (3 hour window) and I've never experienced any damage or problems. Definitely check them out if you're shopping for furniture.
