 + 1 moreOverall OK. This is the first time I have bought service through Angie's list. Scheduling was easy, although they had to reschedule. Johnny was my technician, and initially he got very upset when I asked him to clean up the sump drain, as this was clearly stated on the service proposal, but hesitantly he agreed to do it. He didn't offer real time televising of the sewer system as offered in the service, but at this time i didn't want to pursue it. I don't think I will b purchasing any more bundled services through Angie's - as they are not honored.

 + 0 moreThis was not a good experience. The plumber came and told me what was wrong which was exactly what I already knew because it was the same part that failed 4 years earlier. I even gave him the part number from my order 4 years earlier. I was told I would be called with a quote within few days but I wasn't. I had to make multiple calls to the office requesting the quote with the lady telling me each time I would have it by the end of the day but did not happen until 3rd or 4th attempt. And then, when I got my quote, the part price was $100 dollars more than what the part price I found (I had bought it before) and the labor cost was almost $300 for a job that takes less than 20 minutes. It was just an overall bad experience. It did not seem honest. I found someone to do it for half of that price. Very disappointing.
Description of Work: Only the diagnostic visit took place for the price I paid on Angie's list. The service was not done as the quote was just way too expensive. I got it done for half the price somewhere else.

He was very professional and courteous, knew exactly what he was doing. I would hire again without question. Secondarily, making an appointment with the office was quick and efficient, the staff was friendly and extremely helpful!

 + -1 moreDre was at my home for an hour. He didn't do any repair work. Was there only to diagnose why my air conditioner wasn't working properly. I was told by the company that they charge a 1/2 diagnostic test that costs $79, and $30 for every 15 minutes. Following the inspection, Dre said that he would email me the report with the issues he found and estimate to fix the problem. I never got the report. I called Toptec to obtain a copy of my report and invoice. I ended up speaking with Joe. Joe stated he would email me the information. When I got the report and invoice, I noticed I was charged for 2 hours of work when he was only in my home for 1 hour to diagnose the AC issue. Later, I find out that I was ripped off and charged $230. When I spoke with Joe from Toptec asking him why was I charged that much and for 2 hours of work, he said he would find out and call me back. He never did! I will never use them again. I've been overcharged and ripped off. Their prices are high as well. It's sad that such a company would do this to a customer.

 + 1 moreWent very well. I wish I could remember the tech's name. Me was on time, friendly and knowledgeable. We have only owned the house for about 9 months. He showed us how much lint, dust, and random stuff came out of the vent. Cleaned everything up went on his way. My only issue which isn't really and issue is that he didn't have anything showing that I had already paid for the service. He asked for the angies list voucher. I purchased the deal via the mobile app so I didn't have anything printed out to show. It was not his fault at all but the company should make sure to inform techs of which customers have already paid, so there isn't this awkward moment when the tech is looking for payment and the customer wasn't expecting it. Overall I am very happy with the service and my dryer is working nicely!

 + -1 moreI had a leak from my upstairs bathroom onto the garage ceiling below and the technician was professional and systematic in helping me troubleshoot the issue. Eventually it turned out to be the tub spout that was sending water back into the wall when the shower was in use. He was help me reinstall a new tub spout and there have been no issues since the repair.
Description of Work: He diagnosed a plumbing leak and repaired it.

 + 0 moreIt went great. First of all, the reason I contacted Toptec is because I knew my upstairs compressor was dying. They were able to come out within of hours of when I called. The service person said he could replace the compressor, but we had been thinking about a new more energy-efficient system anyway, so we got a price on that. It wasn't the cheapest, but we felt it was in the ballpark. The workmen started within a couple of days. They'd show up on time, kept me informed of what was going on and were as nice as good be. They even finished ahead of schedule.
Description of Work: Replaced our entire HVAC system, including humidifier, controls and cleaned ducts.

I have an old home and plumbing that will need to be done. I will be calling again. Cant thank toptec enough. Love the new large display on control panel.

Description of Work: After paying for this vendor, I contacted them by phone. The service I needed (repairing a gas range's burners) turned out to be something they either could not, or did not want to do. I contacted Angie's List to get a refund of my $55 paid; which I received promptly.

 + -1 moreAlthough the service provided was fine, I am upset that this provider has been calling me multiple times selling their AC services. Since I hired them to do electrical, I don't know how this vendor obtained information that I have my own AC unit-I am a condo owner-but they have been calling me multiple times and leaving messages soliciting business to check my AC system. Note, I am on the Do Not Call list. I called them this morning and asked them to cease calling me. I spoke with a man who identified himself as a V.P. and had to repeat my name, number numerous times. He began chuckling at my last name-it is an ethnic name-and I told him that I didn't appreciate it. Rather than apologize, he made a comment about his own last name and later stated that I was being nasty. Hey who wouldn't be peeved that an unlisted number given to a vendor for a service call would end up on their marketing list? I reiterated to whomever it was that I talked to that I did not want my telephone number sold to other companies for marketing purposes. Based on my call with him, I am not confident that my request will be honored. FYI, this is the first time that a vendor I found thru Angie's list has used my personal information to market products. I told this to the V.P.I don't think he gets it.

 + -1 moreNothing happened other than a big waste of my time and I still do not have my refund, or my tuneup service.
Description of Work: I scheduled on 6/13/15 through Angie's, I called the phone number sent by angie's lst on 6/15/15 at 8:30 and schduled a/c tuneup on 6/17/15. Toptec called me back at 11:09 am on 11:09 and confirmed the tuneup. I asked what would happen if it rained and they said if i was raining they would reschedule. Then suddenly on 6/16 toptec called at 8:53am from 847-362-0262 and cancelled, saying that I was too far. They knew that when the service was scheduled, and should not have accepted it. Now I have missed out on local company offers that ended on 6/15/15. Worse still I called Angies list and they are not refunding my entire payment and want me to schedule another service at a much higher price and 0% deal, and want me to pay again. Crazy!!

Estimated on 06/01/15 Completed on 06/02/15 I'm sure the scheduling was just luck but I already feel a difference in the air movement and quality. Mostafa and his team did a fantastic job. This is the second time we've used Toptec and will hire them again for future projects.
