"I am sorry that you feel that way, and I'm glad that you found a contractor that would work with you. You have my license mistaken for the permit fee. My license is updated at the beginning of January every year. It was the permit fee that you had to pay. First of all, you had a big rush on this project, and I arranged my schedule to fit you in less then a week after the estimate. Both of my suppliers did not have the meter with a main disconnect, something that the city of Park Ridge requires, in stock. It wouldn't be until after the scheduled day to do the work that the part would arrive. It was completely out of my control. Sometimes we are at the mercy of our suppliers. I can't do the job if I don't have the parts I need. You wouldn't wait a few more days for the part to arrive, and accused me of lying about it. Why would I lie, when this project would have given us a couple of days work. That makes no sense. Then I found out something interesting from the city when I called to take my company off the permit. When I first came to look at the project, you acted as if the house was yours, when it actually is owned by a senior citizen that you do work for. I gave a price to upgrade the main electrical service and you took it upon yourself to use my license number to not only apply for a permit for the main service as we discussed, but for other work on the house that we never discussed. This leads me to believe that you or someone else was going to be doing this extra work under my electrical contractors license. My license is very important to me, and a privilege to have. The last thing I want is someone taking it and using it in such a way. Maybe I should thank my supplier for not having the part. It kept me from doing business with someone that cannot be trusted. Sincerely, Scott A. Nelson"
