I was happy and quiet impressed with their service. They were prompt and they were efficient. They did exactly what they were supposed to do. They did have to delay it but that was weather related. They were out here on a very cold day and they did it. They had a crew of about 4 for a simple job. The got it done real quick. I looked at it and I didn’t have any more leaks. I found them through Angie’s List. It was 2 skylights to be removed, they hauled away the debris, the cleanup, hauling away the old skylights and putting in new decking with the wood and they brought the shingles out, it was all for about $750. The price was good. They came in better than most of the others. Quality was good. They were very responsive. They were on top of it. They kept in constant contact with me the whole time which was a little better than some of the other guys that were bidding for it.

Dave came out and was very personable.  I explained what I wanted to be accomplished.  I thought I should add a ridge vent to increase/improve my attic ventilation and change it from an active (electrically powered) system to a passive system.  I also thought that I should replace my working attic fan because it was 24 years old.  Dave was willing to do both of those things.  He also thought I should add more soffit baffles to the underside of my roof to increase the amount of air coming in through the soffit vents.  All that sounded good and we had a good repore.  However, after getting some conflicting information from another roofing representative, I did some independent research.  I found that the Roof Assembly Ventilation Coalition (RAVC) recommends that you not mix exhaust vents, In other words, don't have both a ridge vent and a powered exhaust attic vent.  Dave also recommended that I let his roofers install soffit baffles to increase ventilation.  I had a person come out that all he did was attic ventilation and insulation.  He reviewed and measured my attic and found that the attic ventilation was balanced and I did not need to add any additional soffit baffles.  It was due to these two issues that I chose another roofing company.

AAA made replacing the roof and gutters "apiece of cake." The estimate was timely. Dave Lancaster explained very clearly what he recommended and why.  He gave me choices and prices, accordingly. After I selected AAA, a large crew arrived exactly when expected and performed the work quickly, professionally and exceeding expectations. The crew was careful not to damage landscaping and cleaned extremely well, making sure every scrap of old roof or other materials was gone. I was very, very pleased with AAA.

We found AAA Better Roof, Inc., on Angie’s List.  We called the company and asked for a quote on securing some loose nails on our roof and on repairing a gutter.  Dave Lancaster, the owner of AAA Better Roof, personally came to our house and spent about an hour on the roof carefully inspecting it.  He ended up finding a number of threatening problems that we were unaware of and that could have caused serious damage.  Dave meticulously documented everything with photographs and explanations. 
We had other roofers come out as well.  Some of them quoted lower prices—and price is a major factor for us—but we didn’t feel the other roofers were nearly as conscientious.  Dave anticipated problems and suggested solutions to prolong the life of our roof. He was extremely thorough and inspires great confidence and trust. 
We ended up hiring Dave and are so glad we did!  His team worked efficiently and finished everything surprisingly quickly. Dave is the type of person you wish all contractors would be.  He takes great pride in what he does and produces high quality, excellent work.  He is responsible, does what he promises, and is extremely organized.  We feel very secure about our roof now that Dave and his team inspected and repaired it.

I could not be any happier with the experience getting our roof replaced by AAA Better Roof.  We were in the middle of trying to sell our house when we found out we needed to replace our 13 year old roof due to defective shingles and poor installation.  We had 5 different roofers come give estimates and, although the quote was higher than others, we chose AAA Better Roof due to the high ratings both on Angie's list and the BBB, the 10 year warranty offered on the labor, and the fact that they accepted credit cards. 

Dave Lancaster was able to squeeze us in the schedule right away since we were in a rush and the project was done the day after we signed the contract.  When I got home in the early evening the only evidence they had been there was our nice, new roof.  The whole project went smoothly and I was very impressed by the quality of work and the professional, efficient manner in which it was completed.  

The best part of getting the new roof is that we received a contract on our house right after it was put up!  (No guarantee that a new roof will sell your house but I'm sure it helped us!)

It went great.  I sent an email through the website and received a return phone call the next day.  I dealt with Dave Lancaster and he was very professional and friendly.  He performed the estimate the next day and he emailed us a free quote the following day.  I had a lot of questions about the types of shingles and the work involved and he was patient and forthcoming with answers to all of my questions.  After we discussed everything he even came out one more time to go over everything with us and point things out to us that we had questions about.  We accepted the quote and they started the job that week.  The job was finished in one day - both the garage and house roofs were replaced as well as the gutters on the garage.  When we came home from work that day there were NO signs that anyone had been there.  Absolutely NO MESS!! It was really unbelievable how clean everything was around the house.  We had a really great experience and thought the price was very good for the quality of work and the amount of work that we had performed.  I highly recommend using AAA Better Roofing.

I had a great experience with them. Dave came out and gave me an estimate. The work went on very easily without any problems. I had a minor issue and he came out to fix it. The work went on without any glitch; I would recommend this company very highly. I paid about $9,000 for their services. The price was good. I would use them again in the future. 

It was priced in the middle of the range between the people we looked at.  We were completely satisfied with him.  We thought he did a wonderful job.  It was quick.  I was particularly impressed that he and his men were particularly careful about where they put their ladders and whatnot.  I had written off a whole bunch of plants figuring that's just the price of getting a new roof.  They were very careful and I didn't lose anything.  I was very impressed by their awareness and the meticulous way that they did the work.  We were quite happy with him and I would be happy to recommend them.

They did a good job. They were very professional. They gave the best quote out of the seven quotes we got. I would use them in the future.

Dave was very knowledgeable, as were the other roofers from who we received estimates. We decided to go with another company, mainly because that company offered an option to patch & re-coat the garage roof with 'fibered Alumacoat'; they also offered free installation of a gutter guard system on the main house roof. That company provided a 5-year warranty on the re-coated garage roof, so their all-in cost was about $2k less. However, if we needed a roof replacement again, we'd include AAA when seeking proposals and options.

We received five estimates for our roof, primarily for two reasons.  First, we have a low slope section (with a pitch just over 2/12) which I read online can be tricky to roof well.  Second, because the first couple estimates we received were much higher than we thought they should be (we replaced the roof on our previous home just a few years earlier and paid much less than we did for this home).  Of the five estimates Dave was the second cheapest...but this is not why we chose him.  If there was any aspect of this process that I thought could be improved it was Dave's estimate.  It just wasn't as detailed as some of the others.  Being a detailed (aka annoying) person I came up with a long list of questions to ask Dave to clarify his estimate.  Over the course of 3-4 phone calls he answered all of my questions and seemed happy to do so.  While the low slope part of roof is only around 15-20 percent of our roof, it worried me (mainly because of horror stories I read on the internet).  Dave advised me that he did not feel comfortable shingling that area since shingles normally did not perform well on any slopes under 4/12.  His quote included a modified bitumen application in that area of the roof.  I appreciated his honesty even though this slightly raised the cost.  Other quotes listed the modified bitumen as an option, but also offered to shingle that area.  Dave seemed more concerned about the longevity of our roof than the others.  Another thing Dave did was insist that he improve attic ventilation where possible (especially in the area of our cathedral ceiling), warning me that this would be an additional expense however without it we could expect our new roof to fail prematurely.  In the end, this additional work (primarily the installation of soffit baffles) added $980 to the total price however after seeing what was involved (pulling up the roof decking, installing the baffles, and re-nailing the decking) I felt this was a fair price.  I appreciated that he offered a 10 year labor warranty whereas most of the other estimates I received included just a 5 year warranty.  I also appreciated that he required just 10% down initially whereas most of the other estimated required 50% down.  After signing the contract and writing the $880 check, Dave advised me it would likely be a couple weeks before he could do the job due to poor weather delaying his other jobs.  To my delight he called back just a few days later and advised that he could do the roof the next day if I would like, and I took him up on it.  His crew was huge (I think there were 15 guys, maybe more) and they were super meticulous about protecting all of our landscaping.  There was a guy assigned as the "ground man" and his only job was to make sure nothing on the ground got damaged and everything was cleaned up well.  I think our patio was actually cleaner when they left than when they arrived.  It took the better part of a day for the job to be completed, but I appreciated that for the majority of the day Dave was onsite supervising (and helping with) the work (rather than leaving someone less competent in charge).  All in all, I strongly recommend that you consider giving AAA Better Roof your business.  I believe Dave is a patient, knowledgable, and honest guy that is concerned just as much with his company's reputation as he is with his profits.

I really liked Dave Lancaster, the owner of the company. He seemed extremely knowledgeable and professional. I have some roofing issues because of which I am looking at a new roof. He was very accommodating. He had spoken with me, but my husband wasn’t at home, so he was willing to come out on a different day and speak with the two of us together. I got three other estimates, two of which were higher and one was lower, and he was in between those. When he sent the quote, he sent all of his licenses and everything, even though I had not asked for it. His responsiveness was very good. I am probably going to use him in a month or two to put a new roof on. If all that goes well, which I anticipate it will, I would certainly recommend him.

I was pleased with the price. They did a good job. They were honest with everything. I didn't have any complaints. They cleaned up everything.

They are very careful and efficient. They are willing to talk to people in some detail to explain options. They didn't trample any of the flowers. I expected to lose any number of flowers, but nothing like that happened, so I'm very happy with them.

The overall experience was excellent, they were prompt with the quote and followed up to ensure any questions were answered and remained patient while I received other quotes. AAA was never pushy throughout the process, although they were not the lowest quote, I chose them because Dave seemed the most professional and research showed happy past customers. I was notified two days in advance of work starting and they showed up when they were supposed to. The crew was polite, efficient, neat and worked 12 hours days to get the work work complete. They cleaned up after every day and respected my property. There was some damage to my lawn but nothing major and the dumpster company did some considerable damage to my driveway when removing the dumpster. Dave called me to notify of the damage and said he would hold the dumpster company accountable to get the driveway fixed. The overall experience was excellent and I would recommend AAA Better Roof.

Excellent work -- thorough quote, a bit higher than local competitors, but very direct, straightforward in work to be done, gave me clear choices. Felt "worked" by CRC representative who followed up his 30 day firm quote in 2 days telling me the price may have to go up if I didn't start soon -- worked. Dave and his guys did an excellent job, showed up when they said they would, worked quickly, had good guys working for him, cleaned up after themselves. Dave found an issue with the flashing around one of our skylights, explained options to me and fixed it -- we had a moisture build-up at the ceiling line below the skylight previously, but Dave's fix has taken care of it completely. Dave subsequently did about 4 other jobs in our neighborhood.

When called for an estimate, the owner came within 48 hours and delivered the completed estimate in about the same amount of time. His price was very reasonable. When notified we wanted to begin work and we had a start date of our choosing. Dave was outstanding at communicating, we never had to call him, he kept us informed at every step. His crew arrived on time, worked quickly, and efficiently. Nothing was left to chance, every item that was needed was delivered at the same time. Upon completion, everything was cleaned up, anything that had been moved was put back in the original spot, and none of our foundation plantings were disturbed. The work was of the highest quality and the finished roof is beautiful. I am so impressed with this company I would not hesitate to give them a recommendation and an outstanding endorsement.

Dave's crew did an excellent job, finishing in two days. All work was neatly done, and all scrap picked up and removed. One day after completion, it rained. There was a minor leak into the interior. Dave came out immediately to determine the cause. It was a skylight with old caulking that had crumbled during the pounding. Dave sealed the leak and it's been water-tight since then.

DAVE'S CREW WAS VERY EFFICIENT, AND THE WORK WAS QUICKLY AND CAREFULLY COMPLETED. WE ARE EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THE RESULT AND EXPECT THE ROOF TO LAST A FULL 25 YEARS. I RECEIVED 4 BIDS ON THE WORK AND AAA BETTER ROOFING WAS THE LOWEST BY FAR. THE HIGHEST BID WAS $14,000 MORE. THE OTHER BIDS WERE $6,000 AND $7,000 HIGHER. TO ENSURE THE WORK WAS DONE CORRECTLY, I VIEWED THE RESULTS OF RECENT WORK FOR THE 3 LOWEST BIDS. I COULD SEE NO DIFFERENCE. I CAREFULLY REVIEWED ALL OF THE MATERIALS IN EACH CONTRACT AND COULD ALSO SEE NO DIFFERENCE IN WHAT WAS LISTED. OVERALL, WE ARE VERY PLEASED WE CHOSE AAA BETTER ROOFING.

AAA BETTER ROOFING WAS PROMPT, COURTEOUS AND VERY REASONABLY PRICED AND DELIVERED WITH SUPERIOR WORKMANSHIP. AFTER LEAVING MY ADDRESS ON THEIR MACHINE, DAVE WAS OUT THAT AFTERNOON TO ESTIMATE THE JOB. THAT NIGHT, HE DROPPED OFF A WRITTEN ESTIMATE WITH COPIES OF LICENSE, REFERENCES AND INSURANCE. HE WAS THE LOWEST BID OF THE FIVE I RECEIVED (7K TO 8K RANGE) AT 4.5K. WE NEEDED A LOT OF WOOD REPLACED WHICH HE QUOTED. TIME & MATERIALS AND WAS AN ADDITIONAL $800. DAVE'S CREW STARTED ON THE AGREED DAY AND NEVER LEFT THE SITE UNTIL THE JOB WAS COMPLETE. THEY COVERED ALL MY LANDSCAPING AND DID AN EXCELLENT JOB CLEANING UP AT THE END OF EACH DAY. THEY TOOK ABOUT 2.5 DAYS TO FINISH. DAVE TOOK CARE OF EVERYTHING FROM PULLING THE PERMITS TO GETTING THE DUMPSTER.
