I cannot say enough good things about them! Their quality of work and pricing were amazing. He called me right back after I called him. When they arrived, they said to not worry about paying us up front and that they would send us a bill after the work was completed.

I had attempted to save money last year by switching to a new lawn care company, but that plan backfired. The spring clean-up and mulching work were acceptable, but the weekly maintenance provided to the lawn was questionable - to the point that many weeks I found myself asking my spouse "did they even come this week"? My biggest issues with NCL came at the end of the season with two significant problems. 1.) Their Fall Clean-up fell very short of expectations. They charged $189 for a fall clean up which was to include collecting and removing fallen leaves, branches, and dead plant material from existing planting beds; trimming of perennials, and removal of annuals. In addition, it included "1 free premium weekly maintenance cutting". When I called the office to inquire as to whether they had even performed the service they billed me for, the secretary read the records indicating that yes, they were on my property and performed that service - she even read the total time they were there: 35 minutes. She then listed off the previous dates of service and time for previous "premium weekly maintenance visits" which averaged 25 minutes per visit at a cost of $40. I paid $149 MORE than the price of a regular cutting for a very shoddy fall clean-up and the owner had the audacity to claim the company was "losing money" on the fall-clean up special and that it was a bargain. A bargain that I paid $149 more for ten minutes more work? Hardly. 2.) When I signed up for service, I told the salesman that I did not want service through the end-date printed on the contract. I had already mailed in my carbon copy of the contract. During my conversattion with the sales rep, I requested the addition of a service (which we circled on our respective contracts) AND the desire to stop the service after 25 weeks (which I indicated on my copy of the contract by marking 25 on the quantity of cuttings. The sales rep did not record my wishes on their copy of the contract (even though she captured the one that INCREASED their revenue) and therefore performed six unrequested (and unnecessary!) cuttings. I didn't notice this until it was too late since they bill after the service is performed and as mentioned earlier, it was difficult to even noticed that they had shown up on my property at all - especially in those last six weeks when the grass was not growing. To make matters worse, the company did not respond to my e-mail and phone complaints for weeks! They only offered me $80 off of my final bill of $269. I shouldn't have had to pay for those last six cuttings, nor the shoddy fall clean-up so factoring in the (not-so) "gracious discount" they were offering, I got screwed out of $189+$240-$80 = $349 - or four of the six unwanted cuttings and the shoddy fall-clean up. I would not recommend NCL to anyone because of their deceptive practices, argumentative and unresponsive management and poor overall quality.
