What a great experience! Jim was on time, friendly, clean in his work and efficient! He came in and got right to work. He had to return because some of the parts ordered were broken on delivery (not due to any fault of his!!)...he brought it to my attention, I reordered the parts and he promptly returned to complete the job (at no extra charge). I tacked on a couple of other items while he was here and there where NO issues...he even removed a birds nest that was right above my door (courtesy)! While most of the work I need were relatively small jobs, I highly recommend Jim and his company "Country Living Construction" for big and small jobs. Thanks for the great customer service!

They were really good. They smoothed out the ceiling. He paid really close attention to detail. His estimate was good. He was pleasant and easy to work with. There were no surprises.

Country Living was very responsive, they were able to come out almost immediately and their drywall guy was prompt, professional, and offered ways for us to limit our costs. Everything went great, he was out ahead of schedule and under budget. Loved this!

Found this company on Angie's List due to excellent rating/reviews. Talked several times w/Jim (the owner) prior to hiring. He was very informative about the amount of time needed to complete each of my projects and was able to work with me to get the initial estimate (which I felt was too high) into more reasonable range. I did do some additional research on comparable charges for tiling jobs and was therefore able to use this data to help negotiate the fairer price. In addition, he did reduce the price further when it was clear than the tiling job would require slightly less work than originally estimated (detailed below). Scott arrived on time on both scheduled days. He did the tiling job over 2 days and did an EXCELLENT job. He took his time and was meticulous, ensuring the job was completed correctly. In addition, he was able to use the existing sub-flooring, so it was not necessary to purchase/install an underlayment, which saved me some money. In addition, he completed the vinyl flooring patch, and again, took the time to do the job correctly. This included cutting a second piece of the vinyl when the first one shrunk while applying. He came up with some solutions to the initial problem to ensure the second patch worked. He even came back on a third day to double check the finished patch after the glue had dried and did a final caulking (a very tiny bead) so the patch is practically invisible. Jim arrived a bit later on the first day of work (with a wicked head cold, poor guy) and installed the light fixtures, replaced the screens. The second day he completed the replacement of the rotted section of trim board and put the repaired screens back on the windows. Even feeling as bad as he did, he also did an excellent job. GIven the amount of expertise and work/time involved in all the projects, the final price was fair.

It went very well with great results

After our poor experience with the last round of drywall, we were quite pleased with Scott's drywall skill. All of the repairs appear to be holding a couple of months later (knock on wood). Unlike other crews, they brought enough dropcloths to cover the floors in all of the rooms in which they worked without needing to shift them between rooms. However, they do need to wash their dropcloths (or at least shake them out between uses). One cloth left a great deal of black particles on the bathroom floor. Fortunately, the cloths over the carpet seemed cleaner in general, and the workers picked up the dirt when wrapping up. Scott also took the time to put plastic over our dark blue walls to protect them from drywall dust. In the past, I?ve been surprised that contractors don?t carry larger more, powerful vacuums. This company didn?t have a shop-vac with them for either day of work and just used a dust pan, but due to the use of the dropcloths, this seemed sufficient.

In my mind this was an emergency. They stepped in and made everything look better than before. Scott treated my home with the respect that is too often missing. Both days they were on time and friendly. I felt comfortable leaving them alone in my home. Thank you Country Living. I will be seeing you again soon.

They came when they said they would and did great work. They were very nice and easy to deal with. They cleaned up everyday. I appreciated their feedback about what I was doing too. I didn't know how much I would appreciate them filling holes in paneling. They also knew more about what paint colors to use where. Everything looks great! I got it all done in the summer while I was available which was awesome!

He was very professional- prompt, courteous, gave additional advice on some other areas. He checked in with me prior to doing something to ensure I would be satisfied with the positioning of the lattice (on the front side of the deck). He cleaned up all his materials. He did an excellent job, very professional, evenly spaced the screws. Even though my big deal had expired (over 6 mos old) and he had since sold his business, he had the integrity to come out and do the work himself on a Saturday! Wish there were more folks in this world like him!!

I planned in March/April to get the work done in summer on vacation time and they were able to hold to that timing, which was great. The carpenter, Gene, and his team were professional, efficient and friendly (but on task) and cleaned up daily as they completed the job. I have had no problems with the windows and several compliments from visitors.

This project was simple but challenging at the same time because once we started taking apart the area we needed to open up, we discovered some unexpected issues that required the team to adjust and problem solve. What I liked with Country Living was their ability to offer possible solutions to adapt to the current situation. The best part is that they came in under budget even with some adjustments to the original plan which was a very big plus+. I will definitely consider using them for our next project.

The representative was on time and professional. He was able to send me an estimate by email within a couple of days, just as promised. We would definitely work with them, but it cost to have both doors replaced was too much. Another company came in and gave us an estimate which was 35% less.

Country Living gave an accurate estimate, they clearly explained what needed to be done, showed up when they said they would and did an excellent job. They were courteous and professional throughout the entire process. Work almost always looks good the day the contractor leaves. The real test is how it is holding up a year later. Though it hasn't quite been a year, we made it through the winter (which has always been a problem with our back door) and everything looks great nine months later.

We were overall happy with the work that was done and would likely use Country Living Construction Group again for drywall needs. We felt Scott (who did the drywall work) was very thorough in his work and the hallway looks great. Jim (president - first contacted us, sent initial estimate and set up the appointment) was also very helpful and responsive. We were a little disappointed that what was estimated to take 10 hrs of work, took 13+ hrs, and cost more than expected... although that seems to be the norm in construction (from our experience!). Also in the initial walk-through of the hallway where the work would be done, Scott pointed out a bunch of things wrong with our new home (among other things, the size of our ceiling joists... which we can't change). We appreciated the expert opinion but weren't thrilled with the way it came across. All-in-all we were satisfied as the job that was done was high-quality and completed within a week or two of contacting Country Living. Thank you to both Jim & Scott for your services!

He was able to repair the drywall instead of replacing which was more efficient and was able to complete in the time frame specified including priming and painting the ceiling.

Good crew, good quality work. I was happy with what they did.

As requested they removed the tub, and old vanity and installed a new shower with bench, new vanity, vanity top and flooring and painted the remaining walls. We had them do this work while we were on vacation since it was our main bathroom and we didn't want to be around for the construction and dirt. We had picked out all of the materials and had a meeting with the designer on the project and the head construction person before we left. There was some question regarding exactly what we had chosen for the vanity top. I had told them the supplier I was sent to in late December had made a note on his computer what slab we had picked out to be used for the top. They tried to contact the particular person I talked to before we left to clarify, but he was out of the office. The only information Country Living had about the vanity top was the material we had picked out early in the process, but we had changed our mind when we saw a new slab at the other supplier they sent us to. Unfortunately, the wrong top was installed. When Country Living had called to see how we liked the new bathroom, I told them about the vanity top being incorrect. He asked if I could meet him that afternoon at the suppliers to discuss the mistake. At that meeting I found the slab we had picked out again and after Country Living and the supplier discussed the problem, they had the correct slab cut and has now been installed and looks great. The workmanship that the Country Living team is outstanding. Their response to my calls is almost immediate if I had to leave a voicemail. All of the team that I have had to work with are all very professional, pleasant and always arrive when they say they would. Even with the mistake that was made on this project, they didn't hesitate to make it right and I really appreciate that. The only thing that I would recommend is that the design team and construction team are sure they have everything the client has asked for.

It didnt go well. It was one job but they came three different people and charged me a lot more than we agreed at first. Besides, they sent a different person who seemed a learner though he did a good job.When I complained ,they said they had done a much greater job than agreed. However, the job was well done. They also kept communicating.

Went well, I think the project was a little more difficult than they had first anticipated. Brought in more workers to help to get the project completed in a decent time frame. They checked with me regarding the new products that they purchased before installing. They kept me informed of what was going on at all times.They arrived every day exactly when they said they would and cleaned up most of the dust and debris when they were finished.

It went very well. I paid probably a few hundred extra apart from the big deal of $319. There were no unexpected issues that occurred. They did a good job. Although it took a little time to finish the job but it was because of the shutters that I ordered, then he had to paint it in his place and we had to schedule when he?s coming out. The entire job when he was here lasted a few hours. He got it done. I am very satisfied with them. They did a good job.
