Huemann Water Conditioning

They are honest, great and timely and they are very thorough, helpful and informative.

Called Huemann a week prior and a very polite young lady named Molly answered (a real human being) and I asked if they serviced WaterBoss units. Wasn't sure so gave me to the owner to help me. Explained my problem to Joe and he seemed to agree that the WaterBoss brain was fried. He offered to stop by personnaly the folliowing morning after his errands in my area and take a quick look at my unit. He arrived the next morning around 10 am. He looked at my unit and concourred that it was history. He tested my water and it needed to have some type of unit. ( Whole area has bad H2O). Joe gave me brochure about Kinetico Unit with all it's positive points. (NOT hard-sell, informative only). We sat down and worked up a final number that I felt was fair. I try to only shop at "Ma & Pa" businesses that deal in "Made in USA" products. Joe's family has been in the McHenry,Illinois area forever. We agreed and shook on package. Unit works like a fine timepiece.

It all started a few days later after the unit was installed.When my wife came home from work at night, the furnice room floor was wet all over.The nuts on the unit were loose ( they were never properly tighened)and I fixed the problem.O 7-22-2009 at night I took a shower and so did my child. and we went to bed.When my wife came from work late at night she went downstairs to the basement to let dogs out.She noticed right away a lot of water on the basement pergo floors and started to screem to wake me up.I run downstairs and all my rooms had water.Everything started to buckle up, all baseboards arround furnice room started to separate from the walls and cupping.What happened was the way his technican installed the drain tubing was incorrect:he just stuck the drain tubbings in the floor drain where the check velve was.When my septic system overflowed it had no place to go except furnice room because tubing he installed, prevented the check velve from closing.I called Huemann but they have not called back until a little over month later when I stopped my payment. After that we got flooded a couple of times when we had lundry and showers going at the same time.We figured that velve was not able to go up and close because of those tubes stuck there by Huemann's techincian.I had enough of flooding and looking at my basement to be damaged all over again, I went ahead and redirected tubbings to the vent pipe.It solved the problem.After that Humman came over and installed a p-trap but it was alredy to late. It should have been done in the first place.He estimated our damage for $320.I told him no way and got my estimate of $11,000.He said he did not have that kind of money and asked me for my ins info.I said no your installer messed it up so his ins has to pay.In December a week before Christmas we started to smell rust in our water and when we went to check on the salt level there was no salt in there but all water.I filled it with salt about a week ago.I called Humann and reported the problem.He said he was not able to come out until four days later.I told him that was not acceptable and I will call my Lawyer.When he heard lawyer he was so suddenly able to come over next day.The problem was that the float got stuck open and drained all my salt out but he would not reimburse me for it.Next he pulled out the tubing from the p-trap, cut off about foot. I asked if it is not to come out so then he put electrical tape around it.That was the last service of his.after that he came to our house several times to harrass my wife about removing unit and that he wanted past due balance to be paid now. He tried to walk in and also he told my wife that I cursed his secretary out and that I must be abusive like that to my wife too.That is slander.Now he is harrassing us more by taking us to court but at the same time refusing to fix our damages.We need your help to resolve it. 3 years ago the co. installed a kinetico system. 6 months ago the system was not operating well and rust appeared.Gave them a call and Josh showed up to take care of the problem.  He found debris in one of the parts and felt that this will fix the problem, however he suggested to install a filter the next time this happens since he did not have the parts on his truck. He charged me 40.00 dollars half of the usual call.

2 months ago the problem persisted. This time they installed the filter and this was going to take care of the problem and charge us 180.00 dollars.

4 weeks ago the problem started again and another technician, Carl was called. He replaced the filter and 5 parts in the mechanism and said to call him in 2 weeks to see if the salt was going down. By the way their was NO CHARGE ,and he replaced the filter

He call me back to ask  if he could come back to test the water and to bring me 3 bags of salt. He showed up tested the water and delivered me 3 bags of salt. He said that the water was 100% soft and charged me 18.00 dollars.

My patience was worth all the service that was rendered politely, with a smile, no excuse, and on time. I am glad that their is a co. that still works and tries to take care of frustrated customers by fixing the problem. Now I hope I have a system that will satisfy me. I will use them again because they are very professional.

Was having problems with exsisting water softener. Called to find out their service pricing. Talked through the problem on the phone. Very nice and knowledgeable. Recommended some parts and delivered them the next day. AMAZING service. I almost wanted to pay them for a service call anyway. I would recommend them to anyone.

Called for someone to come out and give us an estimate on replacing our water softener. Huemann came out that day (Monday), did a water test, gave their recommendation and provided pricing options. We really liked their professionalism, company history and pricing. The pricing was right in the middle and their product is well known. Installation was done on that Friday, day after a major holiday. The installation was great and looks very clean.

Technician Carl Swanson did a wonderful job installing the new motor and also took the time to check the backyard pipe which he added to so that the water would be diverted further from the house. Also previously when this company installed a new water softener in my home he was the one that found out the reason it wasn't working properly( something that the village inspector didn't pick up on). It was repaired ( a ceiling pipe was not connected properly). It was fixed and no problems since.

After having two companies come out to our home to figure out why we have a sulfur smell in our well, we called Huemann based on our plumbers recommendation. I am so glad we did! The two "fly by night" companies we originally called tried to sell us on $4,000+ filtration systems. Chris came out and tested our water for free and then told us that we have a bacterial problem in our water lines but that our water quality was excellent for being on a well. He offered to chlorinate our well and he gave me instructions on how to do it myself if I wanted! What an honest company! Thank you and I will be sure to recommend you to anyone looking for water softeners or filtration systems. They really know their stuff.

Everything was completed exactly as advertised. Owner, Joe Huemann came out the same day we called and explained the options thoroughly. Installers Steve and Joe arrrived on time and completed the work in a professional manner. They cleaned up the work area and explained the installation to us.

The delivery men are very professional and polite. It's amazing how they are able to carry those heavy bags of salt down into the basement especially since there is only one man doing the work.

SALESMAN PROVIDED A LOT OF VALUABLE INFORMATION ABOUT OUR WATER, SOFTENERS, & DIFFERENT SYSTEMS. THEY PROVIDE OUR ONGOING SALT DELIVERIES. ALWAYS FRIENDLY & ON TIME. INITIAL INSTALLATION ALSO INCLUDED REMOVAL OF THE IONIZING RODS FROM OUR WATER HEATERS.

I LIVE NEAR DOWNTOWN CHICAGO, SO THEY'D PROBABLY BE TOO FAR TO USE, BUT KURT SPENT A GOOD 15 MINUTES ANSWERING MY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE DETAILS OF INSTALLING A WATER SOFTENER IN A TOWNHOME (SPACE ISSUES). VERY NICE GENTLEMAN.

ON THE SALES AND SERVICE CALL, JOE WAS VERY HELPFUL IN FINDING NEW PRODUCTS AND SOLUTIONS. VERY CUSTOMER FRIENDLY.
