Sears Home Improvements - Siding

Installers arrived on time; the crew and there leader was very courteous and they cleaned up all the debris after they finished. The one issue I discovered after they left was resolved very quickly. I am not a professional so all I can say is that the work appears to be fine. I think it will be a few weeks to a few months whether one can judge whether they are truly satisfied.

The siding looks nice. The worker replaced the dryer vents with some cheap tin ones. They keep falling out and look cheap. no screen to precent animals from nesting. He said that mine would not fit in after putting the siding on. They don't stay on and he didn't bother to tack them in so they would look nice. The vents I had in there were not cheap and looked more professional. I won't call them again.

They did a GREAT job!! We were pleased with the finished work.

I signed a contract in early May 2016 for siding to be replaced on my home. I was told I would receive a number of phone calls within a couple of weeks, to get the ball rolling on my project. 30 days passed with no response from the Seattle office. I called Lora Holmgren, Scott Shank, the main line and left numerous voicemails - none of which were ever returned. Every time I called, I could never reach a real person. At one point I called, someone picked up the phone and immediately hung up. I called right back and it went to voicemail. 40+ days passed with no response. No return voicemails, no emails or even a letter in the mail. So I called customer service, spoke to a nice rep named Elizabeth. She took my information and forwarded me over to the Customer Solution department where i spoke to a lady who also took down my information and would get someone to call me back fro that office. Of course that never happened. I ended up sending an unhappy email to the salesperson Erik Toland who originally came to my house. He responded to my email and got the project manager Lora Holmgren to FINALLY call me back to schedule the job. Today, the job was supposed to start at no later than 10am. Surprise surprise, no one showed. No phone calls, no emails telling me what's going on, nothing. I am very angry at this point. I called Lora and left 3 voicemail's this morning. No response. Called district manager Scott Shank, left a voicemail which hasn't been returned either. I called and emailed my salesperson Erik Toland, who forwarded my email immediately to Lora asking for her to respond to me. Lora's email response basically said that she forgot to call me yesterday and tell me the job changed last minute, the contractor has to change to someone else who needs to reschedule, and that she didn't call today because she just got home from taking her son in to get his wisdom teeth pulled. None of that is any excuse for not contacting me at all. I'm sure she's had numerous chances to pick up a phone and call me or send an email in the last 24hrs. I responded to the email, expressing my irritation and dissatisfaction with Sears and that I WANT A REFUND. Cancel the contract, I want my money back. At work, I decided to take a break to go grab lunch. When I got back to my desk, I had a voicemail from Lora explaining her mess up and about her sons wisdom teeth. She asked me to call her back about having a different contractor come out on Sunday, which I did call her back about - but my call went to voicemail. I then received a phone call from the new contractor, Dave. He was very nice and wanted to reschedule for Sunday. Unfortunately, I have plans. I already scheduled for today and moved my plans around to accommodate this job being done today. My roommate took time off from work to be there. Everything was explained before the work was done. They did a great job, I would use them again. Our house turn out great. We all was very satisfied with the work.

The crew was very professional. They explained everything and did exactly what was laid out. They even helped out on small things that went along with the jobs at hand and filled in all the blanks to make the job truly first rate.

Very good quality. Before I had them add siding to house I thought I lived on a noisy street. Turns out I just had really thin insulation and poor quality siding. Increase the quality of my life.

They finished the siding at 8:30 pm at night. They asked me to sign a form that I was satisfied with the work. I told them I would like to see it in the light. I offered to return the sheet to him tomorrow, even drive to their office, or fax it. The one guy got really agitated and unprofessional telling me that he guess he will get a flashlight because he doesn't get paid till the paper was signed. He used the word damn twice in that exchange. I was very nervous due to his reaction and signed circles just to not have to deal with him anymore. The folder I was left states 10 steps to help put your mind at ease. The first stated Relax, you've chosen Sears. it states "our professionals are courteous, conscientious and trained to do the job right,now the rest is easy. It talked about speaking with the project coordinator, going over the installation checklist------- it didn't happen. I didn't hire someone from Craigslist because I didn't want to have to worry. The guy called back after he left and told me he didn't want me to be upset but he doesn't get paid unless that paper is signed and he would come back if anything wasn't done correctly. I wonder now what it is going to look like when I check it in the am and I certainly won't be calling him back to do anything. I paid more money that I would have paid because it has Sears attached to it but now I don't feel comfortable even calling them back if something isn't to my satisfaction. I received one call on Thursday telling me they would be here if it didn't rain on Friday. It rained some so they came Monday. When I drove up the first day they didn't take time to introduce themselves. I worry what I will see when I look at it and if I want to call him back to my house, I doubt it.

Very poor communications. Placed the order April 28, 2016. It is now June 1st 2016. Still can't get a start date. Phone calls go un-returned. Sorry I picked them.

The work was performed precise and fast. Tyler and Simon were very fast and polite. Work was done in 3 days start to finish. Very Satisfied.

The house turned out beautiful. All I can say about it is " Crazy Cool" .

Expensive, as they will tell you, not the cheapest. Estimator/salesman erred in measuring the windows for shutters so we did not get what we expected. Panels, in less than 1 month are warping from corner pieces.
