This was an excruciating experience. I ordered the siding back in August and it finally got installed in January and only after I called their installation team every day for the last 2 months. I was blatantly lied to multiple times about when they would start by the project manager. I even called his boss and talked to him and was assured that things would improve and they did not. I would have cancelled, but was so far into it that I just wanted it to be done. It finally did get done and the crew was good and have no complaints about them (other than they did not have enough material and I actually had to go to Lowes to pick up more insulation that I paid for).

The siding job will start in 5 to 6 weeks. The salesman John Landerville is exceptional, honest salesman. He is responsible for Tampa south to Marco Island. I will call John to estimate all of my home improvements. I had to give stars for the quality of work to submit this but the work has not started yet.

I hired them, placed a deposit of just over $1000 in November and didn't hear from them again until December 30 when I contacted them to ask when the work would begin. I got a response 2 days later and was told that there was a problem and I would receive a phone call that I never got. Still no idea what the problem was but I'd sure like to have my money back.

I got nothing but excuses and delays from Sears. Terrible experience. I won't ever hire Sears home improvement for any project again. Signed contract on September 27th. Was told the job would start in 1 week and I should hear from our project manager before then. No contact until I called them on October 26th. Was told that our materials had been backordered, but should be in next week. Didn't hear anything until November 8th when I got an e-mail committing to starting the project on November 16th. On November 15th, I sent a confirmation e-mail at which time I was told there was a problem with the permit which would delay start (no idea how they could have expected to start within a week after September 27th, but somehow 6 weeks later they still hadn't gotten the permit - like many of the other delays, this just felt like an excuse to me). On November 17th I was told that the permit had been obtained, but now the work crew wouldn't start until after the holiday (Thanksgiving) After the holiday, Friday, November 25th I e-mailed and called both my project manager's work number and cell number and didn't get a response from her for 4 days. I called the receptionist and asked for the name and contact information for her supervisor. The receptionist refused to give me this information. The project manager called back minutes after this call. She now claimed December 12th is the soonest the job could start. She got rude with me that "after Thanksgiving" didn't mean right after (I guess she thought that some time between Thanksgiving and the end of time was enough information for me). I demanded her supervisors information, got him on the phone later that day. He heard me out, set up a work crew to start right away - which they did. The work crew was one guy who couldn't speak English. He was a hard worker and did good work, but couldn't give me information such as the timeline of the project. By the time the work was complete, I was out of town for the Christmas holidays. They tried to get me to approve the work based on photos they sent - it turned out there were issues they'd hidden from the photos. I saw these once I got back to inspect the property, was certainly glad that I hadn't signed their completion certificate and sent them the issues that still needed to be resolved. At the end of the project, a railing that had been cut away to install siding wasn't replaced, parts of the lawn were torn up and a window had been broken. The project manager tried to claim that it was an inside window that had been broken - it wasn't - the screen was pierced and the window had been broken. Luckily I'd taken photos at the start of the job and they showed the window was unbroken then. Project manager said they couldn't fix it that day, but they wanted the signed completion certificate. After I repeatedly told them I wanted them to fix it before I signed the certificate, they offered me a low-ball $100 for the broken window

They pressure into signing by saying there is a huge signing cost reduction that you will lose if you don't sign on the day of the consultation. They installed the wrong color and I didn't catch it until the job was half complete so there was nothing I could do without more cost. The worst part was they found an error in their calculations and said (in emails) that I would get a certain amount back. They only gave me part of that back - said they made another mistake. When I paid only what I owned (I had emails to prove my claim) Sears credit dunned me for 3 months with interest and penalties accumulating on the credit account and my credit rating taking a hit. When they finally agreed with me based on the emails I provided, the interest and penalties remained and took a chunk of the amount back from my refund. A horrible experience and I look at a home that is not the color I wanted every day,

We first met with Sears on May 27th to discuss repairs and new fascia and guttering to our house. We had initially expected to work with a Dayton company, but Sears was the only company that showed up in the Home Advisor search as ready to start a project. We expected work to happen by the end of June based on that response and our conversation with the salesman. We signed a contract on 5/30 for woodwork repairs, new soffits, fascia, and guttering for a total cost of $9,475.23. We applied for Sears financing and opened a $10,000 credit line. Nothing happened for some time, and when we contacted Sears we were told that the salesman had left the company, and so nothing was done -- despite us having a signed contract. A second salesman visited who tried to get us to agree to $14,000 of work. We noted that we only had a $10,000 line of credit based on the previous bid, and were then reassured the work would come in based on the bid. We signed a new contract as we urgently needed the work and already had the credit line. We were told we wouldn't be billed until the job started. We were charged $3,407 for materials in early August. Two billing cycles passed during which we paid instalments, but never heard from any contractors. We queried this on September 23 and Sears said the weather was tricky and many people had projects. Nonetheless we had signed a contract in May, but we were still trying to get work started at the end of September. When we called, we were also told that the bid was wrong and was likely to overrun by more than a thousand dollars than we financed, and that would be due in cash when the work was performed. On September 29th, we were told that, in fact, several subcontractors had visited our home -- without our knowledge --- and all had refused to do the work for the bid amount in part because repairs were needed. Firstly, we were surprised to hear Sears were using subcontractors as the first salesman had made a big deal out of how Sears only used their own crews. Secondly, we were surprised to learn that wood needing to be repaired was a problem since that was exactly what we hired Sears to take care of! -- to have damage repaired and new soffits, fascia, and gutters installed. We were assured that any damaged wood would be taken care of as part of the project. We let Sears know that we were already deeply disappointed even before work had begun, and that, had we realized how long this would take, we would have found a genuinely local professional to work with us. We originally contracted in May with the hopes of getting work done before summer weather, and now we were in the position of asking for work to begin before the fall weather changed to cold. Sears’ response was to cancel the contract despite having taken payments. We asked for a refund, and were given a credit on a line of credit that is not of any use or value to us since we will not be using Sears Home Services for

I would give them no star if I could, my siding was repaired by sears home improvement and they didn't do a good job, there is huge gap bewtween the shingles and the siding, sears sent out an inspector after I sent multiple emails and called them multiple times, and the inspector determined the siding was done correctly and said it was ok for the rain to go inside from top and run out from the bottom, I can see the wood frame of the house from the gap, I wish I can attach the pictures of my side to show others what kind of job they have done.
