Hydro Pure Water Solutions

Was solicited over phone to have salesman test water. He arrived 2 1/2 hrs late for scheduled appointment. Salesman assured that their system would purify my heavy sulfur well water perfectly for a fraction of the cost I was paying for my present peroxide system. Submitted paper work for installation and also financing. Was told that I had 3 days to reconsider and cancel. Called next day to say I wished to delay installation and finance application, as I decided to wait till I could pay cash in full. Was told that paperwork had not been submitted, but soon after received Puronics credit card in mail. Company owner Gary called few days later and offered system at greatly reduced price. Salesman called few days after that call irately asking about my status on unit he was "holding" for me (I didn't have him hold anything and had told him the sale was indefinitely postponed). He then berated me for working with someone else (I presume I was called by his boss?). Sales Manager Alyson came by house with new paperwork. I was told that my Mastercard would not be charged until installation a week and a half later. Charge for $3000 appeared on my card the very next day and I was fed a very lame excuse about "holding unit at special price" when I called. Plumber did excellent job on installation on 11/06/19, but within a few hours, faucets were running with raw sulfur water. Was told that FIA tank would be added but that they couldn't get it till Wed. Faucets running nearly black by that time. FIA installed with brief improvement in water, but was also quickly overwhelmed. Installer came back and set it to regenerate every day. Still overwhelmed. Next few weeks consisted of calls with Gary about having to add chlorinator at a cost of $2400. Reminded him of his letter stating that any additional equipment would be covered by him and since he couldn't fulfill that promise, then he would have to reinstall my old system. Received call from Alyson that installer would be out Saturday, 12/18 at noon. Received call from installer at 1:30pm who was about 90 miles from my house and he again tried to get me to buy the chlorinator. Replied that I wanted the old system reinstallation completed that day. Never showed. Called equipment manufacturer Puronics on Monday and they recommended second service source AquaPure. AquaPure came out and declared that that type of system would never work on well water with such a high sulfur level. Reinstalled peroxide system and water was good within an hour. No word from Hydro Pure about canceling credit charge (in dispute with credit card company) or coming to retrieve their equipment and reinstall my old softener. Also have filed report with BBB. Be advised that the equipment is not to be blamed, but the distributor, who cannot be trusted to have the knowledge to deal with water quality and safety issues.
