About us
"7 Paws A Week" is a one stop pet service facility serving northwest Chicagoland. We were founded in 2013 with our love, passion and care for dogs to accommodate the increasingly significant role of dogs being full-fledged family members. Extremely experienced handlers, some of whom have been in the industry almost 20 years, staff our Dog Day Care center and all employees are certified in animal CPR and first-aid. It is sectioned into several areas as we group by size and temperament to ensure the safety, well-being, and happiness of the pets that visit here. For overnight stays, we have comfortable cage-free boarding suites in which pets are never alone or left unattended. We have a pick-up and drop-off service for busy clients who have trouble getting their pets to us during normal business hours, 7 am-6:30 pm Monday-Friday. Our full service, all breed Grooming Salon is available 6 days a week, with walk-ins accepted 8 am-5 pm Tuesday-Saturday. We always use all natural Bobbi Panter pet shampoo and offer a variety of "Spaw Services" including teeth brushing, hair dye, and more. For dogs that do not thrive in a day care setting, or even as a more affordable alternative to it, we have Dog Walking. This includes a long walk with special water and treat time to make your pet feel truly loved. Our retail selection is full of holistic pet food, all natural treats, tough toys, health and beauty supplies, and earth-friendly extras. We are a growing small business focused on giving family pets a fun, safe experience ultimately creating a strong bond between humans and their companion animals.

Since our dog is a rescue dog, he does have some issues we are working on. Shari spent a lot of time discussing these with me and wanting to know how we were handling them and how I wanted the staff to do so in order that he have consistency with his training.
The facility itself is clean, very roomy for the dogs, and very professional. Our dog is small, so he is put in a play area with like-sized dogs and the animals are watched continually. Since his initial overnight there, he has been there several times for daycare, and he is always happy and excited to go. He has also been bathed and groomed there, which I was a little hesitant about since he has some issues being handled. However the staff have been working with him and understand this, and he is learning to trust them. His bathing and grooming went without a problem and they did a great job too!
I would recommend 7 Paws to anyone who is looking for a quality facility for their dog. All their info is on their website.
The only drawback I find is that they are not open on Sat or Sun, so if you do board your dog drop-off and pick-up has to happen on a weekday.
