Top notch work for both jobs!

It went great. They were very punctual and professional.

The job went quite smoothly and the work was excellent. We had issues with water building up on our patio in heavy rains. Tommy suggested we pull out old drains and install catch basins under the pavers with much larger drain covers to manage heavy rains. So far we have had two large storms and the patio is not holding large volumes of water. Tommy did not do the brick pavers but instead referred us to a company in Highwood who did the work. It was satisfactory.

Tommy Mahoney sent Kenny out to my home to repair a supposedly broken sewer line as diagnosed by Pasquezi Plumbing. The spot marked was dug up and the line was NOT broken. Kenny installed PVC line and a clean out. Tommy felt bad for us and had Kenny camera map our drain tile to ensure that what the previous guy said was true. He discovered many flaws in our system that somehow our previous plumber missed. They have fixed the majority of the issues and the price was quite fair. The plumber was thorough and worked quite quickly. I would strongly recommend this firm to anyone looking for a hardworking honest plumbing contractor.

Little Tommy's Plumbing Shop is excellent. His prices are very reasonable and fair. He is very responsive, calls back, it is really a pleasure dealing with him.

He was unable to fix the faulty drain plug - but only because it was a much bigger job than he had assumed. He was friendly and kept everything clean. He made recommendations for me on how to keep the jets clean and, as an unsolicited bonus, he figured out how to turn up the temperature on my hot water heater.

This company did not get my business on this job, but it certainly was not their fault. They were my first of about five contractors to provide an estimate for the above services. It was really my fault for being indecisive and eventually giving Little Tommy's unreasonable time constraints. Their price was fair and reasonable, and their service rep (Todd B.) was extremely professional. I actually learned a lot about heating and cooling just from speaking with him. For heat, they quoted me on a combi boiler - a boiler that provides radiant heat and tankless domestic hot water. For A/C, they quoted me on a "mini-split" central A/C system. The combi boiler was exactly what I asked for, and the price was reasonable. The mini-split system is something I had never heard of. Todd did a great job in explaining the pros and cons of this system. He even offered to let me visit their office, which is cooled and heated (during mildy cold days) by the exact system he quoted me. As I did further research on got ideas from other contractors, I eventually decided to go a slightly different direction. I decided to ditch the combi boiler and go with a standard, high efficiency boiler and an indirect-fired water heater. While the mini-split system is a terrific idea, I felt it was a bit too expensive (although arguably worth the extra expense). I decided to go with a traditional, forced central air unit to be placed in my attic and ducted to each room (it's a ranch home). Todd from Little Tommy's had followed up with me just as I was making this decision. I told him what I was leaning toward and that I had another contractor quote me on that exact setup. He asked me to send the quote over with all prices blanked out, and he would provide me with his price for an exact "apples to apples" comparison. Why this didn't work out....... Because it was the last day of April, and I would have lost my eligibility for a double rebate ($1750!!!) from the gas company if I didn't make my decision and get my paperwork in. Todd would have had less than a day to quote a pretty involved job, and that was not possible. However, after accepting the fact that he wasn't getting this $20,000+ job, Todd actually provided me with some feedback and advice about what the other company was quoting me. He advised me to verify that the ductwork would be metal and not flex, and he told me to ask for a better thermostat, among other things. This is a sign of an honest contractor and a good sport. So bottom line, Little Tommy's was a victim of circumstance. I really wish I could have given them a fighting chance to earn my business. I won't hesitate to call them with any future plumbing or HVAC needs. ****Update***** The double rebates that I had expected to lose were extended until the end of May 2014. So I could have given Little Tommy's a fighting chance afterall. Lesson learned: don't make hasty decisions, especially when you have an otherwise good feeling about a company.

We discovered the toilet was wobbly and called Little Tommy's. Andy removed the toilet to find that the when our plumbing was redone, the collar wasn't set properly, so the bolts didn't line up with the toilet's final position. That contractor then sheared off a bolt to "make it work," leading to the toilet not being properly installed. After looking at the problem, Andy's solution was to retrofit the toilet collar - something they do for older houses where the galvanized pipes aren't in great shape - to create a new collar. He saved us thousands - our other option was to rip up the floor and redo the toilet plumbing.

Had an appointment to get my furnaces cleaned and inspected for the season. The week before the appointment the furnace went out. Little Tommy's to the rescue. They diagnosed the problem in minutes and fixed it. They were gone within 30 minutes. We kept the standing appointment to service my units the following week. I have used this company for years. The HVAC is as good as the Plumbing service. Reliable, Honest and Efficient...what more can you ask for?

I think they are very honest. I have used them now for two years. I think they are fairly priced and they do good work. Tommy, the owner, came out and gave me the estimate. I thought he was very cost sensitive. They are prompt, neat and tidy.

I called several companies that I knew to get quotes. A friend had recommended Little Tommy's plumbing many years ago, so I always remembered them. Little Tommy's was very competitive and I knew their family had been in the plumbing business for a long time. Little Tommy himself came right over to look at it. Since it was a large water heater, he had his crew out there later that day. The service men answered all my questions and explained everything. They took out my old water heater and replaced it with a new one. They cleaned up everything and were very professional. I plan to use them for some small plumbing problems very soon and would highly recommend them.
