on't bother hiring anyone else. Irish Castle's service is outstanding and its work is excellent. IC is an established paver with offices in Palos Hills. The principle, Pat Doorhy, is wonderful to work with. He promptly answered all my texts and emails and questions. The job was performed to my satisfaction. I requested 3 inches of asphalt and 6 inches of base and that's was I received. I had some tree roots that were invading the asphalt.. IC did not perform the work until I removed them. IC dug test holes in the existing base to determine that their was in fact 6 inches of stone and added stone where needed.We discussed the work thoroughly and IC addressed all my needs. His crew is competent, professional and respectful. The work was done timely. It was not rushed and I was not pressured.I had a 5x5 area of concrete replaced. IC's concrete contractor tied the area into the existing walkway with rebar and finished it beautifully. Prior to hiring IC another paver was in the neighborhood soliciting work. Their price was $2000 higher and their work was shoddy. The finish on the other paver's work was full of lines. They didn't allow a week for the cement apron on my neighbor's driveway to cure before paving. IC delayed paving for a week to allow the concrete to cure so that they would not chip the concrete. IC cleaned up after their work - removing all debris. At the conclusion of the job IC adjusted its price because it used less material (stone) then expected. After the work was completed a neighbor walked by and commented that my driveways looked beautiful and they do.Prior to performing the work I asked Pat for references. IC had done other work in the neighborhood. My wife and I viewed it and it too was perfectly done. This is the third time I have had my driveways paved in 35 years. By far IC did the best work. I would rate them a 10!.

The job went great from start to finish. Very nice company that was easy to work with. Great quality work with very nice attention to detail. I will definitely use again for other projects, Thanks again.

From the initial estimate through job completion, Pat and his team were top notch. The final price we agreed on was very fair but it was Pat's professionalism that was the difference maker with the other five bids we received. We had a couple of unforeseen surprises with the weather that presented a special set of challenges to not only the job, but to the safety of our home. Pat went above and beyond in the handling of these issues and everything worked out great. I wouldn't hesitate recommending Irish Castle to anyone looking for peace of mind with a project like this.

The Irish Castle team, both management and crew, were outstanding.  When the original asphalt was removed they found that the ground underneath was not firm enough to meet their requirements to do a quality job.  So, per their advice, we waited until the soil and gravel base had a chance to firm up before the new asphalt was applied. 

The crew arrived right on time, as scheduled, and did a fantastic job.  The new asphalt looks great and I couldn't be happier with the job they did.  I highly recommend this company.

We couldn't be happier with the work of Irish Castle Paving. What I thought would be an all day project was finished in about 2 hours. Price was very competitive - and the crew was very professional. Today we got our Angie's List first free seal coating (one year later) and the driveway looks amazing!

Job was done very well. Corrected all existing draining problems. We were also very pleased with the finished border by the new landscaping rocks. Looks fantastic!!

Pat of Irish Castle Paving responded quickly to my request for a quote. He had the best price among 3 vendors. Pat assisted me in working with my Village to get a permit. He was very accommodating in scheduling installation. The crews arrived on time and completed the job quickly. They removed all remnants of old driveway. New driveway was installed per original quote. We Love It!

Everything went great. Pat is a wonderful person to work with. He came out to give the estimate and after that most of our communication was through emails. They started excavating the old driveway at 7:30am and were done by 9:30. They returned in the afternoon to lay the new asphalt. Even Pat was out there working and cleaning with his crew.  My husband went out to ask a few questions and Pat was happy to answer them. Everything was done by 4pm. No problems. I would highly recommend them.

Work was done promptly, old driveway was removed and more stone was added. Irish Castle came back in the time promised (2 weeks) and finished the job in one day. They did a nice cleanup job and the finish work is good. Pat and the other workers answered my questions, they are very polite. They were recommended to me by a neighbor and I recommend them to the next person.

Called Pat Doorhy at Irish Castle for an estimate and he showed up as scheduled and gave me a very good price(the best of three others) for the job. My gravel driveway is somewhat complex in that it is a 360 degree full circle which slopes down from the street and then uphill to the garage. Pat and his crew arrived exactly on time and graded the entire drive adding gravel where needed. The asphalt was then laid down with perfect curves on the inside and outside edges. I am totally pleased and satisfied with the service, quality and price of the work and highly recommend Castle Paving.

Came on time, worked quickly and efficiently , suggested we contact our township to get our curb cut at no expense to us.
 Our neighbor is going to use them next year to get her driveway done.
