Auto Service
I think they usually do a good job they are just really expensive.
For the most part their work has been good and on time with a few exceptions, my window switch which ultimately took almost 10 days because they ordered the wrong part but I had a use of their loner so it was no Issue. And I brought my car in 3-4 times over a year for them to fix my cooling system (which they still hadn't). The first time they told me I had to replace my water pump. Which they did and I think it was a little more expensive than other non dealerships I contacted but decided to do it there since I assumed they would do a good job. I didn't really drive the car expect twice a month for very short distances. Then 6,7 months later my check coolant light went off. I took in and they told me nothing was wrong and an and quot;air bubbleand quot; probably worked it way out... which is a silly comment after 6,7 months but it seemed fine. There was an issue with them overbilling me by $200 but as soon as I pointed it out they resolved it quickly (I think it was an honest mistake and they were very apologetic). I didn't drive the car for 2 weeks and started it up and it Check coolant light went off. I took it back in and they then told me there was a leak and it would cost $600 to repair. I did not have them repair my car, but they did not charge me for the inspection either. I know the work needs to be done but they just simply charge a lot, which I guess one would expect when you go to the dealership for repairs. Another example is they wanted to charge me $300 to replace my battery, I went somewhere else and got it changed for $70 (installation included). Full disclosure I guess it's not an official Audi battery but I suspect the bulk of the cost difference is labor and not the actual battery.
I feel they are for the most part trustworthy and do a fair job, but you pay a High premium for that. However, I think this applies to any service work at most dealership.
