Marshall came out for a consultation and then presented his own design.  Not all of the work we wanted was in the original proposal (which we didn't realize) and the plans changed during the work, which he was amenable to and changed the plans accordingly.  During the work, Marshall also made suggestions of other things that we could do to improve our back yard and they installed a new screen door after the work was completed without charge.  There were bumps along the way with slightly different visions and us not really knowing what we wanted at times but Marshall handled them and the end result is beautiful.

Marshall had good ideas on design and did not mind working off the plan some other contractor sent us.  He was patient with our sometimes slow decision-making. His work crew were prompt and neat. They readily addressed any small flaws.
Delays caused by the weather were the biggest problem. Otherwise all went smoothly.

Dennison construction (Marshall and crew), made a difficult project run smoothly and efficiently. Marshall made himself available to us the entire length of the project. He promptly answered all our questions and concerns in a professional manner. It was a pleasure getting to know him, and we look forward to working with him in the future.

The owner seemed like a good guy. I did contact him with the rates of the other quotes I had received to ask him some questions,  and he never contacted me back.

I phoned Marshall on a Monday afternoon, and we established an initial meeting for Tuesday.  He was prompt and listened carefully to what I wished to accomplish with the remodeling.  I gave Marshall a rough sketch, and he returned by Thursday with an computer-generated view of the remodeled room along with complete layouts.  His vision far exceeded what I hoped could be achieved, and his cost was well within budget.  We delayed the start of construction for about three weeks while materials were assembled, such as cabinetry. Once construction began, however, it moved extremely rapidly and was completed within two weeks.  After experience with other construction outfits that would begin a job and disappear for days on end, I particularly appreciated that workmen were on the job every day -- and worked six days a week!  The workmanship was outstanding, the workmen were polite and neat, and the job site was cleaned up every day.  Marshall was here every day to ensure that everything was moving along well, and minor changes that came up were handled quickly and professionally.  I couldn't be more pleased with the results and will happily be working with Marshall and his outstanding crew on the next project -- remodeling a full bathroom.

They did a real good job.  I was satisfied with their price, their promptness and their workmanship. I paid more than they charged because I thought they spent more time then they were planning on spending.  It was the better part of a week worth of work.  There was design work by myself and a lot of contributors.

We explained our vision to Marshall and he did a great job of interpreting.  He came up with some good ideas based on our needs and incorporated these into drawings so we could get a good visual.  Once we agreed to layout and the materials to be used, he provided us with a quote.   
We love both the patio and desk and appreciate Marshall's personal interest in doing a great quality job.

We worked with Marshall, the owner, to obtain a bid and understand the work that would be done. He did a nice job of explaining what they would do and estimating how long it would take to get it done. Marshall suggested a good alternative in replacing a rotting trim piece. He was flexible with our needs and was able to provide pro's and con's to different approaches with the deck. The two employees that came, a father and son, did an excellent job of working on the deck and the projects. They were also careful to clean up after themselves every day. We were very happy with our experience and would use this company again.

I didn't choose them because their prices were high. They were fine, besides their price. I had a good experience with them. Their estimate was fairly detailed.

It didn't! Unless you are dead, there is no other reason for this lack of courtesy.

Overall, the work looks fantastic. Almost like a new deck! Marshall came to check on the work and decided they should come back and add another coat of stain on the front steps. He also had the workers keep trying to remove the old paint from the black spindles that had blown all over them while power washing. That part did make quite a mess on our screen door and the spindles.
I recently recommended them to a family friend who then remembered they had done excellent work on their sunporch years before.

Marshall was very prompt in setting up and keeping our initial appointment.

During the consult, he offered some design suggestions, While I appreciated the fresh perspective, I felt he was somewhat dismissive of our design considerations and constraints.

He was able to give me a verbal quote on the spot, but never followed up with a written proposal/estimate.  The verbal estimate was inline with, or slightly lower than, other quotes we received.

Out of area for this company to build a deck for us.

Marshall is wonderful.  He worked with us beginning through end.  He provided on-going consulting through-out the entire process. He helped us in many areas outside of the project he contracted for.  He spent numerous hours with us at the nursery to ensure we had the appropriate bushes and plants.  He was always responsive to my calls.  He provided suggestions but was always gracious when we wanted something done "our way".  His staff are "experts" and are extremely friendly.  The end result looks beautiful and the value and services we received far out-weighed what we paid.

I sought 3 quotes from the top deck builders on Angies List. I sketched out what i wanted to be done. He provided suggestions on materials (I went with Cedar). He provided a quick quote on the spot that was comparable to one other (1 quote was $1500 higher than the other 2). I chose Mr. Dennison over the other quote because he seemed more professional.

The project turned out great overall. The arbor turned out fantastic.  The spring was very wet and cold and the workers did not work outside on some of those days. That is why Punctuality was a "B". The quality of the deck work was solid. There were a few small things missed, but Mr. Dennison made sure that they were taken care of.

Came to my house twice.  Gave me a verbal estimate first visit to rebuild my deck.  When I expressed interest in continuing and asked for a written proposal, Mr. Dennison returned and promised to send a written proposal within a few days.  I never heard from him again.

Marshall came out and gave me a quote the day I called and work started a few days later.  Very impressed, did not diminish the fact that we were a small job.  Would recommend and will use again.

My wife and I had an idea of what we wanted to do, but it was limited to "maximize the deck space and add a dog run".  We had a few contractors come in and give us bids on what we described but Marshall listened to what we wanted and took it to the next level.  He came back the next day with a sketch of a proposal that was well thought out, created a flow to our entire back yard area, included a built in bench and arbor, as well as a spot for our grill.  We were blown away by his vision and his quote was in line with our budget, so we went with it. He initially said he wouldn't be able to start for a few weeks but when we requested it be done asap, he was able to make arrangements to start immediately.  His crew was excellent; on-time, professional, and cleaned up each day when done.  They completed the job in 4 days and it far exceeded our expectations!  The details they included were outstanding and we couldn't be happier.  We will definitely use Marshall for future jobs.

The team was very accommodating, followed through on everything they said and then some. They went out of their way to get the job done on time. Great job!

They started early around 7:30am and left around 5pm. The laundry room was remodeled and is now wonderful. The bathroom in the basement was in horrible condition. It is almost done and looks gorgeous.

We are very happy with our deck and patio. The guys that came every day to work were polite, punctual and professional. The price went up after the job started and it took longer than expected (by one week) due to weather and the difficulty of the wood. The design process was not the greatest; we did not understand the not-to-scale drawings. That said, once the work started and we were not happy with the size of the deck, they redid it to our liking.
