Hour Maid Cleaning Service

This was a final cleanup of my rental unit as I didn't want to deal with cleaning after my move.  I set this up about a month in advanc and paid by credit card.  The team showed up 5 minutes early and left right on time.  They cleaned every nook and crevice of my unit and mopped the floors.  I had never seen the place so clean!  I would highly recommend.

They are pretty good.  For an hour and fifteen minutes I think I pay about $116; it's a little pricey, but she gets 4 to 5 people.  Sometimes if you get a good team they do great and usually they are pretty good and I use them always.  They get right to work.  Price wise they are competitive.  Sometimes they are early and sometimes they are late.  They just show up on that day and they do give you an hour when they are going to come.  They come 20 minutes early or an hour late.

The first crew that came in didnt do a good job at all, I called hour maid and they offer me to send me a different crew the following week and gave me a discount on the 2nd visit. The 2nd crew did a good job and they now come once a week. Thank you Hour Maid.

They cleaned up really well but there was a slight difference between the advertisement on Angie's List and what they did so I called them and then they redid it. I had another appointment with them. On Angie's List, it said that they will clean the oven and the fridge but they did not so I had to call them back and then I had to make another appointment just for it to pull off. What they did was great but when I called them they were not really willing to come back. I had to figure out what I received from Angie's List and then prove it to them.

They are fine. There are plenty of cleaning ladies; they are there for six hours and it is easy to work with for me. I have used them for years.

Wonderfully.  I like their system of working in a team: 1 devoted to the kitchen, 1 to the bathrooms, 1 to dust/vacuum.  They are here and gone in an hour.  If something requires more than an hour to complete, arrangements are made to complete it in a future visit, or lengthen time spent here.  On the first visit, a manager inspected their work.  Also, on the initial visit, they were running a few minutes late, but notified us as to their ETA.

I have used this service many times.  I am not a neat freak, so in general I am not super-critical of cleaning services.  They send a group of 4 women, at least one of whom speaks very good English, to clean your house in 1 hour.  For me, they do a very good job.  The only issue I've had was having to ask them specifically to do extra vacuuming on an area with alot of cat hair.  In general it is not a deep cleaning, but they do a good, adequate job.
I think they are expensive but I have nothing recent to compare them to.  To me it is worth it because they only take one hour.
They always arrive on time, sometimes they are even early.

great service will use all the time

I have used Hour Maid for several years and think that they do a good job of cleaning my condo. They definitely do the work in an hour and it is a nice surface cleaning all around. But today was the second time in the last three or four months that they stood me up. My appointment was for 1:15 this afternoon. I received a call from the Hour Maid office around 12:15 saying that the crew was running late and would arrive around 1:45. At about 2:10 and again 2:20 when they hadn't arrived and hadn't called back again, I called the Hour Maid office and got the machine. The crew never came (it is 4:10 as I write this) and no one ever called. About three or four months ago, I also had an appointment at 1:15 on a Saturday and no one came. That time, the office was closed even at 1:30 when I called. (They say they are generally open to 2:00 on Saturdays.) They did not return my messages on the following Monday. When I called them on Tuesday and expressed my frustration with the situation, they gave me a very perfunctory "I'm sorry" and asked if I wanted to reschedule. I like the crews and they know my apartment well so I would like to keep using them. But being stood up twice in three or four months (I use them once every three to four weeks) is obviously a concern. If I am satisfied as to how they resolve today's situation, I may give them a third chance. If I am stood up again, I will definitely find another service despite my general satisfaction with Hour Maid's work.

I decided not to use them again. They did a poor job in the bathroom. When I pointed it out for them to re do and they still did not do a good job. You have to be ready for them to come. Four people and clean your home in an hour.

The do a consistently good job for us given the one hour time constraint. They are on time, bring their own supplies, cover a lot of cleaning ground as a team, and are always polite. One lead team member speaks English, so you can explain any special requests easily. Occasionally we notice some missed spots, but it's minor and infrequent. This is not a white glove, deep cleaning treatment in one hour; rather it's a good, general overall cleaning that makes your house instantly have a face lift and feel much better. We really enjoy their ability to clean for only one hour, and their flexibility should you need to change a day/time.

Not a terribly thorough job, and given that the only things that needed to be cleaned were cabinets and closets, I was surprised after at the places that were missed entirely. The floors didn't need to be redone, and there was nothing to dust. They did windows, and some of the shelves in some of the closets, but I had to wipe down the closet shelves after they left before I could unpack, and I found rings from old containers in some of the kitchen cabinets. This was after I had them come back in to clean one of the two bathrooms again, since they missed the medicine cabinet. They said they couldn't get the drawers clean in the cabinet, but I found after they left, a little Soft Scrub completely cleaned the cabinet up.

Hour Maid does a good job, although the quality of their crews has been uneven. Our first crew started out fine, but over time, they really did a poor job for us. We complained to the office, and they gave us a crew led by Emily, and we really like the work they do. They're conscientious and prompt, and they always have accommodated any special requests. Hour Maid is extremely fast because their crews consist of four people. Our moderately sized house gets cleaned in about 45 minutes. One downside to so many workers: There's no way to stay out of their way while they're working.

They did an amazing job for being there only a little over an hour. They washed 3 rooms of wood floors, cleaned the kitchen and bathrooms, and vacuumed and dusted the bedrooms and living room. I'm very satisfied with their service. The wood floors are not streaky - they're nice and shiny! They work so fast that you have to make sure your house is not cluttered if you want a good job. We've really uncluttered our house and we're really happy with them. I've had them clean twice and will hire them again.

Basic cleaning, not as detailed as I had hoped (as others have commented), but the bathrooms are done well and dusting is pretty complete. Four pleasant ladies clean the house in about 90 minutes, and they bring their own supplies. They are very courteous and often arrive early, waiting if necessary. Quick and convenient, a good value.

THE DO OK.

NOT VERY THOROUGH, BUT THE HOUSE IS GENERALLY CLEAN (BATHROOMS, WHICH ARE THE MAIN PAIN TO CLEAN OURSELVES, ARE ALWAYS CLEAN), IN ONE HOUR, AT A LOW PRICE. THEY ARE GENERALLY VERY ACCOMMODATING WHEN WE HAVE TO RESCHEDULE.

HOUR MAID IS A VERY ECONOMICAL OPTION FOR THOSE PEOPLE WHOSE STANDARDS FOR CLEANING ARE NOT SUPER EXACTING. THEIR TEAMS DO A DECENT JOB OF GETTING OUR HOUSE REASONABLY CLEAN, BUT I WOULD NOT SAY THEY GO OUT OF THEIR WAY IN CERTAIN RESPECTS. THEY WILL ALWAYS DO SOMETHING IF YOU ASK, BUT THE THING IS THAT YOU HAVE TO ASK. AN EXAMPLE WOULD BE HAVING THEM CLEAN BEHIND/UNDER FURNITURE OR MOVING SMALL ITEMS ON THE FLOOR TO CLEAN UNDER THEM. ON THE PLUS SIDE: 1. THEY ARE GENERALLY VERY PROMPT. 2. THEY ARE COURTEOUS 3. THEY HAVE NEVER BROKEN ANYTHING. 4. THEY ARE VERY FLEXIBLE WHEN WE NEED TO RESCHEDULE. 5. THERE IS ALWAYS SOMEONE WHO SPEAKS ENGLISH SO COMMUNICATION ISN'T A PROBLEM. 6. OUR HOUSE LOOKS CLEAN WHEN THEY LEAVE.

FOR CLEANING 3 BEDROOMS, 2 BATHS, ONE KITCHEN, A LIVING ROOM AND DINING ROOM IN ONE HOUR, THEY DO A GREAT JOB. THEY DO MOVE DIFFERENT THINGS AROUND TO CLEAN SO THEY DON'T HAVE TIME TO PUT THINGS BACK WHERE THEY WERE. WE'RE NOT PICKY, WE JUST WANT A CLEAN HOUSE AND HOUR MAIDS IS OUR CHOICE!

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WAS A FIRST TIME CUSTOMER, AND THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME $10 OFF, BECAUSE I DID NOT HAVE A COUPON, EVEN THOUGH WHEN I MADE THE APPOINTMENT, I WAS TOLD I WOULD GET $10 OFF, BECAUSE I WAS REFERRED BY ANGIE'S LIST.

THE TEAM (4-5 LADIES) THAT CLEANS MY HOME ON A WEEKLY BASIS IS THOROUGH AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY BRING THEIR OWN SUPPLIES, WHICH I LOVE, AND THEY PROVIDED ME WITH A CHECKLIST OF ALL WORK THAT WOULD BE PERFORMED. THEY ALSO PROVIDE A LIST OF SERVICES THAT THEY WILL PERFORM ON AN AD HOC BASIS AND THE COSTS FOR THOSE SERVICES. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH HOUR MAID.

THE ONLY COMPLAINT IS THEIR THOROUGHNESS, THEY SEEM TO FORGET SOMETHING EVERY TIME. THE THING WE LIKED ABOUT THEM IS THEY SEND 4 PEOPLE OUT TO DO THE WORK IN AN HOUR.
