Glenbrook Plumbing Co is a family owned business serving the North Shore since 1984. Bill Sr. is a 3rd generation plumber and service president. Bill Senior's son is a 4th generation plumber and our service manager. The plumbers at Glenbrook Plumbing Co can handle all of your plumbing problems, from a construction project to general maintenance problems. We are also a member of the Glenview Chamber of Commerce. The reputation of Glenbrook Plumbing Co has spread based on providing timely, high quality service that could not be compared with anyone in the area. Wrok was done well and passed inspection. the contact in the office was proffesional and helpful, though the plumber who came was fristrated and did not present himself proffesionally.

My main house-drain periodically requires rodding. I have used Glenbrook Plumbing for this work as well as most of my other plumbing work over the past 27 years in my home, including the purchase and installation of water heaters and standby sump pumps. I particularly like the efforts (and personality!) of their long-time plumber, "Swanee" (BIll Swanson). He is good natured and not easily swayed or discouraged when facing a difficult or unexpected problem. Swanee completed this job in about 45 minutes.

Courteously provided estimate over phone. Promptly followed up with e-mailed estimate and details RE: sump pump model to be installed. Scheduled same day service. Called 20 minutes before plumber arrived during timelsot promised. Removal, installation and testing of pump took approx. 30-40 minutes. Price billed matched estimated provided. Very satisfied with Glenbrook Plumbing Co.

They were quick to return my calls and were flexible in scheduling a visit, as my date for receiving the new faucet kept changing. The plumber arrived on time and was very professional. He worked quickly and kept me informed of the status during the work. He checked and demonstrated the faucet was functional at the end of the job. Things were clean when he left.

The scheduling process was good. This wasn't an emergency, and the plumber was able to come our the next afternoon.
He arrived on time and was professional and friendly. It took him a while to get the existing bathroom faucet off, so I didn't feel bad about not being able to do it myself. The kitchen faucet went quickly.
Overally the job was done properly and professionally. I think the whole thing took 2-21/2 hours, but most of that was spent on the bathroom faucet that was the issue.
He cleaned up after himself, and showed my wife both jobs when he was done to make sure she was happy.
Price - I guess $100/hr is probably about what these guys charge.
Overall I was very happy with the work. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

Unbeknownst to us, we had a crack in the waste pipe from our powder room, which resulted in a very unfortunate plumbing emergency. Glenbrook Plumbing rearranged their schedule to come out immediately to diagnose the problem and provide a quick fix. They returned the next day to do the full repair. The repair was done neatly and promptly. Every things is working fine now.

As a long time customer of Glenbrook Plumbing, I felt confident calling about an emergency problem in the midst of some reconstruction work being done on our bathroom. I called about 3:45 PM on Friday, 12/14/07 and talked to the owner, Ed. I asked him to speak to the construction worker involved to explain the problem. Ed spoke to him for a moment but was curt and angry that we had called late on Friday afternoon and said that if he could find someone to come to our house, which he couldn't, he would have to charge double overtime. Before I could respond, he hung up. We will never use him again.

Ed is a saint! He took a few of my panic-ridden phone calls during the terrible storm of August 2007. Ed walked me through back up battery procedures. Ed even called to check in during the power failure to make sure the battery was working and the basement was still dry. Ed never charged for his services, even though I'm sure he spent hours on the phone during the storm talking to and calming panicked customers. Thanks to Ed, my sump pump never died - thanks Ed!

Everything was done thoroughly and professionally. The minute that they stepped foot in our home they were so personable and answered all of our questions. The work was done by knowledgeable individuals, who really know what they are doing. I am impressed with the company as a whole.

Glenbrook Plumbing has done lots of work for us in the past with no problems. We really need them to come again, but they won't respond to our requests. We still can't use the dishwasher because we need a part for the garbage disposal. They have made some excuses. As I said, they were great in the past, but this time we feel neglected.

While the initial plumbers were nice & all, the work they did wasn't up to par. Then when I complained, the service manager got all pissy & defensive. He then sent over the owner "Bill", who was a BIG BULLY to me, & I ended up having to ask him to leave, because he was yelling at me. He claims he wasn't yelling, but he was & he's a big man physically. I felt afraid in my own home! I told him I was going to report him to the Better Business Bureau & to Angie's List. He said that was my prerogative. Meanwhile I have called another plumber.
