Abt is huge! And frankly, it was overwhelming to be in the store. Labor day weekend was probably the wrong time to visit. I was looking for some somewhat in-depth help in choosing appliances, not buying all of them on this trip but buying intelligently so I would have good options in the future. It was a bit of a struggle to find a salesperson who wasn't already busy. Once I did locate someone, I felt that his answers were a little too quick. I didn't completely feel that he had helped me explore all my needs and options. However, when I needed to find him again a little later, he was responsive to answer my further questions. I did purchase a stove and hood. When they were delivered, the delivery was well done, very polite, and friendly. As others have commented, it would have been helpful to know what time they would arrive before the day of delivery. If I understand their pricing, it does not vary with the day, which takes the pressure off having to make a purchase ''now.''

I have been recommending them to everyone I know who is in the market for appliances, TVs, etc. Their knowledge, attentiveness to details and customer service standards are evident. Abt met Sears' $100 lower price and provided superb customer service. I wish they would be able to give an estimated time of arrival earlier than the day of the appointment. However, for both appointments, they called by 8 am to give me a time and arrived punctually.

Went to ABT determined to buy a fridge from them, having had good experience buying a TV and knowing of their excellent rep. Needed one fast. Tried to place order on phone. First sales rep was very helpful, and I tried to get him back on the phone, but I couldn't reach him. Spoke to a second rep who again was great, and again couldn't be reached for follow-up, though I tried and tried. Finally, went to the store, dealt with a third rep, who was great, and then, again, though I tried and tried, couldn't be reached to write up the order, or to tell me if he could match the low price I'd found at Plass. Wd have gone with ABT if they'd matched. In the end, gave up and went with Plass. Great place, but in appliances anyway, sales system too frustrating for us this time.

ABT Appliance used to be a favorite of mine. However, the last 2 experiences that I have had with them have not been the best. The appointment that I made was not honored. Eventually, they did come out, but it took a lot of work on my part. They did drop the price for the service fee. I feel it should have been free. In addition to the scheduling issues, this is the fourth time they came out for the same dishwasher. When I called the next day to confirm that they were for sure coming out, they said I was rescheduled. When I spoke to the supervisor, Tony, he didn't even know what day of the week it was. That is not the best way to build customer confidence. The only redemption for them was the technician who came out to the house.

ABT called day before Saturday appointment to confirm time window between 11am to 1pm. Repair technician called Saturday at 7am to confirm. He arrived at 11:10am. He replaced two chips that were replaced a year earlier by another company. He completed his work before 12 noon. He was courteous and answered all questions.

They came when they said they would. The repair made the machine work again. It was very expensive for a fuse that might cost a dollar. The repair was done in 20 minutes including going to the nearby hardware store to buy a fuse.

The showroom had most of the washers available. By far, the best selection I could find. The sales person was nice and she really knew her stuff and was quick to pick up a manual when she didn't know the answer. The install was fast and the delivery was on time.

Whirlpool would not process our rebates. ABT went out of their way (after contacting Angie's List, because of some communication problems) to fulfill the obligation on their own, out of their pocket. I m sure this is why ABT has been in business so long, continues to grow, and will be around for my grand children and longer. They do know how to treat their customers. Thank you ABT, and Angie's List.

Overall, the experience was as pleasant as can be expected when your old range stops working unexpectedly and you have to spend close to $1100 to replace it. However, ABT certainly did their part to lessen the stress of the situation. Chris was very patient with us on the first visit, even though he knew we were not going to buy that day, and potentially would not be coming back. When we did return the following week to buy, he was efficient and helpful.

ABT gets high marks for honoring their policy for matching competitor prices! A Toshiba LCD TV was listed on Amazon.com at a price over $700 below the ABT web price. I contacted ABT by their website using their online chat, and they confirmed that they would match the Amazon price, after verifying that it was not ''gray market'' product. When we got to the store, having printed the log of the chat, the salesperson honored the price without question! He was very helpful in evaluating the LCD TV, installing the HD signal leads so we could comparison shop before committing to the purchase. Delivery was prompt. Just an additional hint - if you go to ABT and get a salesperson whom you are not comfortable with, do not hesitate to ask for someone else. ABT cares about their return business.

Abt is really to be commended on the repair because of how the situation was handled. The first technician corrected only half of the problem, which was a new fuse. After he left, the dryer completed one load of clothes and then I experienced the exact same problem again. I called Abt on Saturday and they had another technician at my home immediately at 8:30am on Monday and the repair was completed in 15 minutes. Every one was polite, punctual,etc. And Abt only charged me for the replacement part for the dryer the second time here. Very fair.

WE FOUND THE UNIT ON ABT'S WEBSITE, PURCHASED IT OVER THE PHONE AND HAD IT DELIVERED TO OUR HOME. WE CHECKED WITH LOTS OF OTHER BIG BOX STORES BEFORE CONTACTING ABT AND ABT OFFERED THE BEST PRICE AROUND. THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL AND HAULED OUR OLD AIR CONDITIONING UNIT AWAY AT AN ADDITIONAL COST OF ONLY $20.00. I'D DEFINITELY SHOP THERE AGAIN FOR APPLIANCES.

THE REPAIR WORK DONE UNDER WARRANTY WAS HANDLED IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER FROM THE FIRST PHONE CALL TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT TO THE PROMPT REPAIR OF A MAJOR PART OF THE REFRIGERATOR. THE REPAIRMAN CAESAR HANDLED THE CALL LIKE IT WAS HIS OWN REFRIGERATOR, TAKING THE TIME TO EXPLAIN WHAT IT WAS HE WAS DOING. THE COORDINATION OF THE REPAIR, ONCE IT WAS DETERMINED WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE, WENT LIKE CLOCKWORK. THE PART, AN EVAPORATOR, WAS DELIVERED TO THE HOUSE ABOUT AN HOUR BEFORE CAESAR SHOWED UP TO INSTALL IT. I HAVE BOUGHT MANY THINGS AT ABT, BUT THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME THAT I NEEDED THEM TO PERFORM A MAJOR REPAIR. THEY CAME THROUGH BIG TIME.
