I went to to the store with the intention of buying a sound bar to match the TV I purchased from them online. I knew they had it in stock since I checked online in advance.  The previous TV purchase went well and came within a few days and I thought let's go there and buy it in person.  (The only reason I ordered from them instead of buying it at Best Buy was because Best Buy had an out of stock when I was in their store).      There was a security guard at the door who said hello but after that I had trouble getting anyones attention and to find where what I was looking for was kept.   It's fun browsing the kitchen areas they have setup and my son liked playing big bubble machine, looking at the fountains and interactive games so it was entertaining for him.  However once I started to look for the product I wanted to buy it took me at least 10 minutes to find what I was looking for and once I did no one came and talked to me.  It wasn't clear how to buy it and all the guys at the counters were on the phone talking and didn't even make eye contact.  After another 10 minutes my 6 year old son said 'Mom I think you can only look at things here not buy them - it's like a museum'.  Tired of waiting I just left.  Drove to Best Buy and was in and out in under 10 minutes as a clerk approached me and got the product for me immediately and checked me out in the back.  Feel bad I bought the TV with them.

They couldn't be a better company. They have service over the phone, online chat, email or whatever way you want to do it. They have the best service. They do it right the first time. If something goes wrong, they come right back. I've been using them for over 10 years.

Abt was a great appliance and service provider.  One of our appliances had to be returned--no problem!
I will go back to Abt again for any future appliances.

This company fixed my refrigerator door in less than ten minutes. It was out of alignment and they fixed it quickly and professionally. They've also been out to fix the icemaker in the past as well as repairing the dishwater in the past. We always call them because we trust them, they come when they say they will and they give you the straight scoop as far as the situation and price. The experience with them is always good.

 I paid more than what I would have paid for the refrigerator at Sears, but receiving good service, on time delivery and no hassle for a comparable product was worth the extra cost.

I went to Abt because they came highly recommended.  My cook top died suddenly around Christmas and I arranged to have a replacement put in.  The installers came over to measure the existing space on Tuesday and then returned Thursday to install the appliance.  It turned out the existing hole was too big and I needed to purchase a 36" stove top.  I immediately went over and picked a new cooktop and was told they could install Saturday. 

The sales person promised to take care of everything and forward me the final bill.  I realized I should probably remind the salesmen that the fuse and possibly the wires might need to be upgraded to accommodate a 40 Amp fuse, which I was told by the installers on both Tuesday and Thursday and I did that around noon.  I had not received the promised email that afternoon so I called to have it resent, I was told by the sales department that they did not see the order.  Things went south rapidly and eventually I got the general manager who promised to take care  of the order and install and email the invoice to me.  It did not arrive until I called again and had it sent over.

So many little things went wrong and they were magnified because we did not have a stove top for over a week.  Had we not needed that so urgently I might have dismissed the inconveniences as just that, but you see what people and businesses are when things are hard.  I was not impressed by Abt, the stove top looks great and works just fine.  But I wonder if I had not followed up with them how long it would have taken them to get the thing installed.

Decided to investigate replacement / upgrades in late November.   Went to the ABT retail store to investigate.   Salesperson Jennifer Misek was one of the best salespeople I've dealt with.  She professionally discovered our specific needs and was able to show us an excellent solution meeting those needs.  Answering all questions and concerns, she set us up with a very nice package of appliances.    She then followed up with a couple of specific details over the next week, again making sure everything was going to work.   Given a busy schedule - delviery was set for a few weeks later.   The delivery team was as professional as Jennifer.     Called promptly as promised, arrived on time, worked within my limitations for access, and installed everything correctly.  was expecially impressed at the couple of tips they gave me that weren't in any of the product literature.   Very useful.

We were very pleased with the purchase.  We had looked into consumer report, so we knew exactly what range we wanted to buy.  We talked to the manager from the appliance department, and we got the reduction in the price.  The salesman, he wouldn't budge, so we didn't buy it.  When we got home, we called back and talked to the manager.  We said that we wanted to buy this range, but we had seen a cheaper one somewhere else, and when we said that to the manger, he took off a nice chunk of money.  We had purchased a dryer from them in 2010.

Price was really good.  Great value.  We really shopped out our major appliance purchase.  Looked at hhgg, S and Robuck, HD and the other big box, BB - all the majors, and even a few small independents, and also online.  We are very confident we got the best pricing, and a few rebates to boot.  Great value.

They rep all the major brands.  We studied consumer reports for reviews of the best manufacturers, and looked online at the mfg's web sites.  We knew what we wanted and got quality stuff at a good price.  I had one issue with the oven, but that turned out to be a mfg issue that the mfg worked with me on to resolve.  ABT jumped thru hoops to try, but I had to have it end up with the mfg.  Sorry ABT.

A+ for responsiveness !  I had a few issues and made a big sink about it, because my expatiations were so high.  Boy did they jump to take care of everything that was not just perfect.  Superior and exemplary customer service.

There  were a-couple of hick-ups where punctuality was concerned.  There was a mix up about the delivery time.  I requested a PM delivery, and they confirmed, but then I got a call in the earlier part of the AM on delivery day, and they said they were 30-45 minute away.  So after some squawking w/ the office, they were able to push it back a-little and it all worked out. 
There was also a mix up about the delivery date with the JACO ComEd rebate people in Seattle WA.  I got a lot of calls weeks before anything was even scheduled to be delivered.  I had to make some phone calls there to straighten that out. 
Maybe ABT needs to work on their delayed delivery process a little.  We didn't take delivery right away but delayed it about 1 month.

Scott Newlin is very knowledgeable and helpful with all of our questions and also help us to stay on budget.  Attentive, but not too pushy, just the right amount of attention.  There when we needed him, but never a bother when we needed to talk privately.  Also no bs when it came time to seal the deal.  He knew is numbers and he knew we did our homework.  Most painless $ 3000.00 we ever spent.
The delivery men we top shelf professionals.  3 stories walk-up and not a scratch on a thing.

They are fabulous. They are the best place to buy appliances and they negotiate. They were the lowest price and their install is impeccable. You can't beat their warranty. I can call them up and tell them that they installed it 10 years ago and here is the address or serial number and they come out and fix it. They have been written up in Consumer Reports as the number one place to buy appliances and there is only one of them. They carry everything. I went everywhere and they had the cheapest price and it included Cook County taxes which has the highest tax. There was a teeny weeny scratch on the refrigerator that the guy pointed out which I didn't even see. He said he could take it back and bring me a brand new one or he would take 10 percent off. I took the 10 percent off. I went to an outlet store for the stove because I wanted a cheap one. Abt was $100 more and I called them and the guy told me he would sell it to me for that price. They are the number one place to buy appliances. The kitchen suite cost $2,000. I am going to remodel my kitchen and I will use them for everything.

We had encountered problems in repairing a six year old KitchenAid range which was going to cost us $1000 in parts and take a month to repair! We called Abt and had a replacement range delivered and installed in 24 hours. Installation was accomplished in about 45 minutes and with ultimate professionalism. Kudos to Abt who will be our port of call for both appliance purchase and repair in the future.

the dishwasher that broke down was a 34-inch high kenmore model that sears had installed

about seven years ago. i ordered a similar sized model from abt, but the day of the delivery the installers looked at the arrangement, measured the space from the outside (i.e. the pinewood kitchen floor level to the bottom of the countertop) and said that the new machine would not fit there. i accepted their decision at first, but then decided that they had not really tried very hard. i pulled out the refrigerator that stood to the right of the dishwasher and noticed that the unfinished flooring was a bit lower there and under the countertop area where the dishwasher was supposed to go; perhaps the new machine would fit if it were first introduced into the refrigerator space and then slid to the left under the countertop. abt came back again, and this time the team listened to my ideas,  thoroughly examined the space, removing the refrigerator, making careful measurements and found the only way to get a 34inch dishwasher into that space would be to remove at least part of the finished countertop.they clearly new what they were talking about.  in the end, i had to give up on the 34-inch machine and re-order a smaller and much more expensive one. the guys who did the work were very professional and very efficient and they explained that the sears installers had had to cut off portions of the base of the old machine to get it in. i want to thank all the abt installers and the abt salesman, mr. jose alamilla, who never lost patience with me despite my many protestations.

They are excellent. The appliances they worked on are still under warranty so all I paid was for a service call. I will use them again in the future.

They office personnel said my delivery would be on a Wednesday. I received a phone call Tuesday afternoon, on my cell  phone from the delivery people saying they  were at my house. I said to wait that I was only a few blocks from the house. They did a great job setting everything up. I asked why they came on Tuesday? He said there are not any deliveries on Wednesday. I was lucky to have had my appointment changed or I wouldn't have been available. I didn't appreciate  ABT not letting me know about the change.

It went very smoothly. The installer arrived, took out the old heater and replaced the new one with no mess.

They had good choices.  They were very professional and provided great assistance.

Whirlpool dishwasher leaked all over our hardwood floor. Initially contacted Whirlpool who recommended Diamond Factory Service. They came out several times to the tune of $260 and never fixed it - still leaked all over. Called Abt, they came out, very nice, professional and found the problem - a $9.99 hose. Working fine ever since. Abt is our hero!! Excellent job, reasonable price.

In my opinion ABT is still the only place that knows how to offer exemplary customer service and conduct business - "the right way".  Prices are great as well. 

I shopped and placed my order on-line. Had some scheduling gliches between the delivery team and the home theatre install team. Kelly took the bull by the horns and resolved any issues immediately, and by that evening I was watching Avatar with the kids, on our new home theatre system. Chris the install guy (looks like Eminem)  took his time explaining everything to us and did a great job with the installation. Gotta admit - ABT has never dissapointed me. I've been doing business with them for over 30 years.  As always -  HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!

Our Salesman Jeff Lowe was incredibly knowledgeable and honest. We purchased a dishwasher from him and the installers were great also. He even called to follow up. Will buy from them again. Great place.

Noticed that fresh food side stopped cooling and freezer side was not freezer cold.  Did not think of Abt at first for repair.   Called LG customer service number to get their "authorized" repair services in area.  Checked them on Angie's List and discovered they were rated "D".  Then thought to call Abt and scheduled repair.  Upfront on trip plus parts charges.  Quick scheduling.  Gave window of time and showed up early.  First visit diagnostic--no repair.  Turns out new-gen refrigerators are a little like computers.  Repairman saw ice on wall of freezer side and said issue was the automatic defrost.  One of 4 parts not working, probably the bi-metal sensor.  Had to order parts--all four--and I would be charged for trip and then for whatever parts were needed.  No additional service or trip charge.  Advised to power off and let ice melt before next visit.  Took a week for parts to come and when informed, scheduled next day service visit.  Sensor changed--likely cause of problem.  Inexpensive part.  Option to change a "board" also.  First part likely culprit, but would need a few days to confirm.  I opted to allow board change on this visit--a moderately expensive part, but not outrageously so.  So far so good.  Repairmen (different each time) very polite.  Careful to explain what was going on.  Careful to protect floors with boards/padding.  Put on shoe socks before entering home.  Good operation top to bottom, sales to service.

Mike Bracco is easy to deal with and always has good suggestions for stretching our school's dollars.

They keep coming out and aren't fixing the problem.  They are now telling me that my sleeve is too long on the AC.  They keep telling me that I need to buy a new sleeve for the AC.  They should be fixing the problem since they are the ones who installed it wrong!

Last time they were out they came with a kit and said that should fix it.  This time it's that there's too much room behind the A/C.  There's no communication!  They send these guys out and they don't know anything about it.
