the dishwasher that broke down was a 34-inch high kenmore model that sears had installed
about seven years ago. i ordered a similar sized model from abt, but the day of the delivery the installers looked at the arrangement, measured the space from the outside (i.e. the pinewood kitchen floor level to the bottom of the countertop) and said that the new machine would not fit there. i accepted their decision at first, but then decided that they had not really tried very hard. i pulled out the refrigerator that stood to the right of the dishwasher and noticed that the unfinished flooring was a bit lower there and under the countertop area where the dishwasher was supposed to go; perhaps the new machine would fit if it were first introduced into the refrigerator space and then slid to the left under the countertop. abt came back again, and this time the team listened to my ideas, thoroughly examined the space, removing the refrigerator, making careful measurements and found the only way to get a 34inch dishwasher into that space would be to remove at least part of the finished countertop.they clearly new what they were talking about. in the end, i had to give up on the 34-inch machine and re-order a smaller and much more expensive one. the guys who did the work were very professional and very efficient and they explained that the sears installers had had to cut off portions of the base of the old machine to get it in. i want to thank all the abt installers and the abt salesman, mr. jose alamilla, who never lost patience with me despite my many protestations."We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused the customer. Every home is different we are unable to diagnosis over the phone; our installation crew must come out and assess the situation. We installed the air conditioner into the customer's existing air conditioner's sleeve at the customer's request. The air conditioner was not cooling because the sleeve was too long. Frigidaire's older sleeves will not work with the current Frigidaire air conditioner models. Due to the miscommunication regarding the sleeve we had replaced the item at no additional charge to the customer on 7/20. Normally this should correct the problem however, the unit was still not cooling. Abt returned on 7/25 and had to remove the Air Conditioner and re-installed the unit. We had to fill in the gap behind the air conditioner to help direct the air entrance and not have it trapped back in. At this time the issue has been corrected and the unit is now cooling."
