TKS Interior Design and Remodeling of Glen Ellyn

We priced three bids for our project. We chose Susan Klimala and the Kitchen Studio based on her designs and professionalism, and also because of the feedback and excellent reports from several referrals who had previously worked with the Kitchen Studio. Their prices were reasonable and competitive, but most importantly, they offered sincere and personal attentiveness during all aspects of the project.

They are very good designers and easy to work with. I would recommend to others.

The Kitchen Studio of Glen Ellyn (our designer), and Tom Evans (of Thomas Gorton Homes, our contractor) were wonderful to work with. Susan Klimala of Kitchen Studio paired us with Tom Evans, and both were very professional, helpful, and always had a smile. They made the remodel comfortable for us, with a minimal amount of disruption to our daily life. We stayed in touch by phone and pictures while we were in Florida, and when we returned home, the kitchen with usable, clean, and ready to use. It was nice to miss out on the 'messy' part, but to be available to enjoy seeing the finishing touches which brought the kitchen to life.

Myself, my interior designer and Susan from Kitchen Studio met to discuss the cabinets for our new home. Susan worked so well with my designer, it was a true collaborative effort. Susan was able to come up with an amazing kitchen from stock cabinets to keep the price down. She also added in extra touches, like adding furniture feet onto a stock cabinet to make it look like a piece of furniture. We worked together finalizing drawings, Susan took field measurements and the cabinets were delivered on time without a problem. There were one or two "glitches" that Susan and her team immediately worked to find good solutions for. One, the crown of our cabinets was going to intersect with the trim around our kitchen window. Susan prepared several options for us, and we were able to maintain the quality of our design. Also, when the panel for above our range came in, it was a slightly different color from the rest of the cabinets. However, Susan had someone work on the panel and it matches perfectly now. We could not be happier with our experience at the Kitchen Studio!

FANTASTIC!!! The kitchen and bathroom designs were both practical, with great attention to detail and placement of appliances, as well as stunning. They were very mindful of our budget and offered a variety of options to choose from that still allowed us to stay within our targeted spending. The designers were also incredibly helpful with the selection process and were courteous, mindful and considerate. They were quick to remedy any concerns (which were very few to begin with). They were also well within the promised deadlines! Overall, a tremendous experience. They certainly made the painful process of remodeling a lot more bearable! Don't know what we would have done without them!

The project went perfectly from start to finish. We were very concerned about the hutch fitting in with our existing cabinets, island, color scheme, etc. Susan visited our home on multiple occasions despite the fact that the project was relatively small. In designing the piece, she incorporated finises, textures and accents that tie it in to the rest of the kitchen perfectly. Her creativity, eye and attention to detail are amazing! The delivery and installation of the piece were completed in a timely manner, with outstanding quality and by very professional workers. We would highly recommend the Kitchen Studio of Glen Ellyn to anyone considering a kitchen or bath remodel.

The Kitchen Studio of Glen Ellyn promptly accepted an invitation to bid on our complete kitchen remodel job. A prompt preliminary estimate was completed and once we accepted, detailed plans were iterated through that ultimately lead to the final design. This design was then used as the basis for ordering all cabinets fixtures and materials and provided the blueprint for contractor work. At all times the Klimalas were readily available to answer contractor and/or homeowner questions and provided very constructive and practical feedback. The cabinets were received and installed to our complete satisfaction with the work completed on time and at the expected budget.

Susan Klimala came to our home and asked specific questions about what the purpose of our unit was and what we envisioned it looking like. She then sketched a design (on-site) which was exactly what we had envisioned -- only better. Susan's husband Jeff was on-site as needed during the installation process. The project was on-time and on-budget.

As an interior designer, I hired The Kitchen Studio, in Glen Ellyn, to help refine my kitchen design and provide the cabinetry, for my clients. They were extremely knowledgeable and offered a wide range of cabinet styles and price points. They worked with our budget and design ideas and gave us a beautiful product. The Kitchen Studio staff is friendly, creative, quick to respond, organized and professional and I will definitely use them again.
