Michael Garman is not only an artist, he is the nicest person ever. His work is of the highest caliber. He is a perfectionist with his work. This is the FOURTH time I have hired Michael and will do so again. You won't find anyone better. He is always on time, polite, friendly and goes out of his way to help. He is so neat there is nothing to clean up afterwards. All that's left is to enjoy the beautiful job he has done.

Michael Garman is a true craftsman. His preparation is superior, ending in a flawless result. He is patient, professional and a thoroughly nice person. I have employed Michael in the part, both for woodwork repair (excellent results), and painting (flawless). I called him again, this time to remove wallpaper and paint my bathroom, kitchen and exterior door. He is so easy to work with, a real pleasure. He is always prompt, communicates very well, is considerate and respectful. HIs attention to detail is superb. It is clear that he takes great pride in his work. This is the third job Michael has done for me, and I WILL hire him again. I recommend him most highly!

Michael Garman is a total pro! My window looks like it did when we bought the house 47 years ago. Michael is meticulous and neat. He even went so far as to create a plastic barrier half way through my living room to help control the dust. His craftsmanship is exquisite. He also sanded and painted my front door which also came out beautiful. Throughout the project, he showed my every day not only what he was planning to do but he also asked me every day to check things over to see if I understood where the project was and if I was satisfied. On top of his professional skills, Michael is polite, friendly and fair. I would (and will) hire him again in a heartbeat!

This gentleman is a pro! I was impressed with his professionalism.His workmanship was EXCELLENT.My walls were in ill repair.Not only did he patch and sand,there was hardly any mess.Usually when this type of work is done, my whole house gets plaster dust...everywhere. He was very neat and clean, methodical.His eye for detail was impeccable.I,m an interior designer and very "picky".So.. with that said, I am VERY HAPPY with the finished project.He also finished in a very timely manner.Yes! Excellent work! I had several contractors quote me on this project and GPCD was the most professional and responsive to my needs. I realize this was a small project, but never felt like I was being put on hold or that this was any less important. Michael was very professional and helped me understand limitations, offered great suggestions, and set my expectations. He is an excellent communicator - honest, clear and concise in writing and in person. He was timely with his written quote and project completion. The finished product far exceeded my expectations. Michael is very neat, organized and respectful. I highly recommend him!

The furniture looks beautiful! We had dark wood cubbies painted white. Mike and team sanded the furniture, primed it, and painted it. They were careful with covering surrounding floors/walls and cleaned everything up afterwards. Mike was very professional and courteous to work with - I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again.

Mike installed some crown molding that we had purchased from someone who was remodeling their approx. 100-year old house that matched very closely to the molding we already had in other rooms in our house (also around 100-years old). Mike did an incredible job - it looks better than what we had expected. It looks like it's been there since the house was built, which is exactly what we were looking for. We highly recommend Mike - he was very easy to work with, very communicative, and very skilled at what he does!

There is so much to like about this painter; he's very clear about the scope of the project, shows up on time, cleans up every day and did a great job on my Windows. They had many layers of paint and pretty thick, goopy caulk and needed quite a bit of scrapping and sanding. His prep work was excellent, I would definitely use him again.

Michael is very professional in all phases of his work.  He was always responsive and punctual.  His estimates were clear and well written - easy to follow.  Changes in scope of work were accommodated and priced fairly.  The quality of his woodworking was very good and his painting was excellent.  He was neat and cleaned up each day. The price for his work was in the middle of the estimates we received.  We have already recommended him to a neighbor looking for some work to be done.

I am extremely happy with Mike's work. First, his punctuality was uncanny. If we had an appointment for 8:00 my doorbell would ring as the clock flipped from 7:59 to 8:00. 
During our first appointment he came over to discuss the scope of work and thoroughly walked me through his process. He was the embodiment of professionalism the entire time. We discussed the crown molding shape, wood type, and finishing. I wanted to match the solid wood cherry cabinets in already installed. 
When work began, exactly at the time agreed upon, he treated my home with the utmost respect. The work area was amazingly clean and did not impact anyone who was home at the time. His attention to detail with the woodwork was impressive. The house is over 110 years old and does not have a right angle remaining on any wall. Despite this, his corners were perfectly tight, the wood grain made the boards look like they were from the same piece of material and the finish matched the existing cabinet material perfectly. The cabinet maker (family member) even commented on how impressive the woodworking was. 
I could not be happier with the end result. I am glad I was able to have Mike perform such fantastic work in my home.

I highly recommend working with Mike.  His painting is accurate, clean and precise - I still marvel at the sharpness of the ceiling meets wall paint line in every room of our house. It's refreshing to work with someone who takes such care with his work. His pleasant demeanor and cleanliness of his work space surpasses any service worker we've employed in our home.  He's punctual and communicative, and is trustworthy enough that we felt comfortable lending a house key to him for him to continue his work when we were away.  We felt that his pricing was fair, perhaps in the high/middle end of others we interviewed, but very much worth it.  Mike works alone or sometimes with an assistant, so projects may take longer than hiring a crew, but if you have the time, it's nice to know who exactly is responsible for the work.  At least one friend that I have recommended Mike to has hired him, and I know that he is just as satisfied with the results.  We hope that when we are able to repaint the exterior of our house, Mike will be available to do the job.

He showed up to give the estimate and then said that he wanted $1900, right there and then I knew he didn't want the job. There is no way that I am going to pay $1900 for three rooms. I think I wasted my time. I would not use them again.
