Very well. Norm is comfortable getting down into the details of a job, and this is very important to me. His tiling folks are excellent, and that was critical on a job where the floor tiles would be perfectly flat as used in the 1940s, not softened at the sides with pillow edges (which are far easier to install).

The work went very well. I had other bids that were a little lower but I decided to go with norm because I felt he was easy to deal with, which I found to be true. His crew was professional and very courteous. They were also very neat. I would say I was pleased with the outcome of the work. They installed a new shower, vanity, lighting and painting.

Inconsistent communication, email back & forth over multiple dates that included an agreed upon date and nobody showed up.
Not a good communication experience at all, at times replies in 'CAPS', not professional or pleasant.
Work done was fine overall, however the painters needed to be reminded what was agreed upon, and did not appear to have been told.  Their english was as limited as my spanish.

Work was delayed because I travel for work and there were children home from college in the room to be painted. 
The painters were NOT asked to do work that was not in the contract, in fact I had to print up the agreed upon contract to show them what was agreed upon.

Responsible and responsive workers.  Norm, the owner, is very responsive and experienced in the business.  The jobs are not inexpensive, but high quality work.

Everything went well.  The gentleman was very professional, thorough, and responsive.  I chose not to use him, though, because his price was too high.

He suggested replacing the facing on the fireplace. He was fine. He was late in getting back. He arrived on time. He spent time in discussing the project. He was very professional. I gave the work to someone else. I would use him in the future.

The whole bid process was fine but the price was just too high.

We had a wonderful experience.  I called and spoke to Norman Persky, the company owner and he came to do an estimate.  He was very professional and seemed to know exactly what he was doing.  His schedule was very busy but he was able to fit our relatively small job in when we needed it done to put our home on the market.  Everyone in the crew worked professionally as well.  The plumbing work was with a sub who did a great job (whom I also would have contacted again had we not moved out of town).  The crew kept the area neat and the dust from the tile removal remained in the bathroom.  I believe Norman Persky is a person of integrity and would recommend his company without hesitation.

He was incredibly courteous, really nice and his estimate was very fair.  I did not use him because I ended up using an old friend.

Norm renovated our tiny bathroom a few years ago and we were happy with the result. We decided to get an estimate from him and his bid was very reasonable (plus he was licensed to deal with old lead paint on wall removed for pass-through). They performed the work in about 3 weeks. It went very well and they even corrected a few unforeseen problems (i.e., plumbing drainage and gas connection to stove needed to be brought up to code). My only suggestions to Norm would have been to give us a time line of how the work was going to be done so we could have been a little more prepared. We were able to contact him with various questions either by phone or email with little problems. In the end, the kitchen turned out beautiful and we are very happy.

Norm is very responsive and communicative, both by phone and email. The estimate was the most reasonable of those I elicited from providers, the work was all completed within the time frames agreed upon. They showed up when they said they would, cleaned up afterwords, and were a pleasure to work with throughout. His guys are friendly and efficient. There were no surprises, additional required services were explained. No pushing for unnecessary work. Norm clearly has a good reputation - suppliers all commented on him favorably. I would totally use Norpro again and have recommended the company to neighbors. As these things go, this was all relatively painless thanks to Norm and his staff. The floor looks great. Everything generally went well. Only two problems: 1. Kitchen vent became blocked by refrigerator after the remodel. 2. One-year-old washer/dryer unit lids were damaged by workers stepping on them. Norm did not acknowledge nor compensate for this damage when brought to his attention.

To start with, several weeks before the project began, Norm told us they would start on Feb. 22 and they actually did. We were impressed with every member of Norpro's team from start to finish. Each of the main guys on the team were hard working, respectful and skilled in their work. Additional services, like electrical and plumbing were equally impressive. All of the members of Norpro's team seemed to have extensive histories with Norm (like 15 years plus). Norm himself came to the project every single day to check in and was also incredibly responsive via phone and email throughout. One of us was home every single day of the project so we had opportunity to really observe the process, the work and all of the people involved. We could not have asked for a better experience.

The owner gave a bid that was fairly complete and competitive. It seemed everything would work out fine. On several ocassions I had to call up the owner to report things like drywall being used where greenboard should have been used. There was some sloppiness like a 3/4" gap between the lip of the tub and the drywall, way too large a gap based on my experience. Even though I noted on the wall and on paper where thing slike towel rack should be hung I had to do this repeatedly. In general they were timely with their work. There were some cracks in grout just weeks after installation. They did come out and fix them after I called and e-mailed a few times. Light fixtures were not hung level. They had to come back out. In the end the bathroom looks good and I believe the quality is good. However, I am not sure this would have been the case if I had not caught a number of problems myself. I might have given a B- rating but on the whole cannot say "good." Just "fair" because of the process.

Norm was quick to respond and professional from the start. During our initial walk through, he was up front and honest, provided ideas and a clear definition of the work. He provided an estimate quickly and was very reasonable as compared to the competition. With construction/remodeling, communication is key. Throughout our project, Norm was easy to reach, shared next steps and provided regular progress reports. Most importantly, the work was completed on time and within our budget – no surprises. They were very reasonably priced for the service. They were very timely and they took the time to clean up after themselves. Other than the mess in the bathroom I could barely tell that they had been out. The only issue that we ran into was with the shower grout. They had to re-grout it a couple of times, because the guy who was mixing the grout was mixing it poorly. The grout is okay now, however it is not quite the quality that I expected.

Three day job as estimated, cost close to estimate, very professional on phone and in person, timely, and cleaned up very well on completion of job. Followed up after completion to make sure we were satisfied.

Norm was very professional and offered great advice on ways to make our very small old bathroom more efficient. I could tell he was really listening to what needed to be done and thinking about the best way to do it. This project involved our only full bathroom not being usable for about two weeks. Norm and his crew made every effort to get the bathroom back in working order as quickly as possible while still doing a thorough job. The workers showed up on time every day. They did very good work on all parts of the job. A couple of minor things came up and they worked quickly to rectify the situation so the work was the way we wanted it. One of the reasons we hired Norpro was because of their excellent reputation. Also, they realized how important it was to us to have the bathroom repaired as quickly as possible and were able to start the job within about a week during the busy summer season. The job ended up being a little more costly than the estimate because of unseen issues that only became clear after the work was started. However, Norm did tell us an approximate cost if certain repairs were necessary so the extra cost was not a surprise. I had full confidence in Norm and his crew because they were very familiar with the quirks and complications of working on an old house and would highly recommend them for repairs or remodeling.

Of all the people to come out and do estimates Norman was the most detail oriented and knowledgeable and the quote was cheaper or on par with others. The project went smoothly and I'm happy with the finished product.

The job was done very well and professionally. The plumbing and tile were installed very nicely. The two workmen kept the rest of the house clean and they cleaned up well after the job was complete. Our only complaint was lack of punctuality. On one day the workmen came two hours after they were originally scheduled. However, on the one day that we told them it was essential they arrive on time, they came early. The job had originally been quoted to us as taking about three working days. It took six. This was not a problem for us but it may be for others with a more rigorous schedule. However, after the first day's work we were comfortable leaving the workmen alone in our house. One possible problem arose due to the size of the tub/shower valve. The plumber and tile men worked very well together to resolve this. Overall we were very pleased.

My husband and I have been through a number of remodeling projects over the years, and this was one of the best experiences we have ever had with a contractor. Norm Persky is extremely responsive, professional and attentive to detail. He virtually always answers his cell phone, which is amazing in and of itself, and he was on site every day. This project was completed on time and on budget. Norpro began the work exactly when they said they would, and despite some add-ons, the entire project from start to finish took four weeks. They did an excellent job dealing with the inevitable issues that arise with remodeling in a vintage home (ours was built in 1937). Their workmanship is beautiful, particularly the tile work and wood trim, and we are extremely happy with the finished product both in the bathroom and on the living room fireplace. The workers were highly skilled, polite, careful and kind to our two dogs. They cordoned off their work area neatly, promptly cleared away their debris, and cleaned up their mess regularly. The project was completed with a minimum of disruption to our household. We also felt that we received excellent value for the price we paid--we obtained four estimates for the bathroom remodel, and one of them was almost twice the amount of Norpro's estimate. Overall, we could not be more satisfied with Norpro's work on this project.

We thought their presentation, materials, and estimate were top-notch, and their price was quite competitive. We ended up going with a competitor due to a scheduling conflict, but we would definitely recommend Norpro to anyone looking to remodel their kitchen! I was particularly impressed with the owner's candor regarding whether he'd be able to complete a certain portion of the work to our specification, and his recognition that we knew what we were getting into and could handle changes in approach and cost as the project would have progressed. It showed business savvy on his part initially, and good interpersonal communication skills as we got to know one another.
