Overall it was good. He was professional and cleaned up well. I would recommend him.

Dave came a couple of times (per our agreement)  He was always on time and polite.  He did not try to sale services we didn't need and he took care of the ones that were needed.  He is very efficient and has good prices.  I am going to use him as our maintenance
guy for our home whenever we need handyman services.  He is a great handyman!

Dave and I initially communicated via email to schedule the appointment.  He had availability in a reasonable timeframe.  Dave showed up on time and he immediately got to work.  He attached a large bookshelf to our wall, reattached a baby gate that had come out of the dry wall, consulted on basement issues, and attached a gutter downspout, all within the 2 hour timeframe that we had paid for.  Dave was very friendly and did a wonderful job.  We would definitely call him again.

Water was seeping out of the tank of my toilet.  I tried to resolve the issue by changing the flapper, however,  water continued to seep from the tank.  I saw the Big Deal for Newman Household Repair and contacted Mr. Newman. He scheduled an appointment, observed the problem,  replaced a part in the tank and the problem no longer exists.  Prompt, very professional, superb, service.  I strongly recommend this company.

Dave did a great job for us.  We were looking at doing some home maintenance outside such as caulking where there were gaps on the side of our house and then helping us to set up our downspouts so the rainwater went away from the foundation.  Everything went well, but our neighbor was concerned about rainwater flowing to his driveway.  Dave happened to be in the area later in the week and fixed for us at no additional charge.

Dave was fantastic! He was very punctual and immediately got to work. He took down our old ceiling fan and neatly pack it up. He installed a new ceiling fan with a light and remote and even supplied a 9V battery (which I didn't have for the remote). He did that all in just over an hour, leaving time to fix my kitchen faucet. The faucet now works better than it has since I initially had it installed (by a different handyman) over a year ago. He did all the work very well and within a very reasonable amount of time. He was also extremely sweet with my two-year old, who was very interested in his tool box. I will definitely use Dave again and refer him to my friends and family.

My neighbor said he did a good job on everything that was on the list. He put up some blinds in our master bathroom, painted around the window sills, fixed an outlet, repaired ducting on our dryer and touched up one of our doors.

I was very pleased and will certainly call him again when I have other things that need to be done.

We were looking for a reliable handyman to swap out four interior light fixtures. Dave was prompt, courteous, and went above and beyond. He recommended which wattage bulbs would work best in each location (foyer, dining room, hallways). And, noticing that our table was wobbly when moving it to reach a fixture, he went ahead and fixed it.
.I also liked the fact that his picture was on his Web site, so I would know who would be arriving at my home.

For procrastinators like us, Dave is perfect.  He emailed us after we purchased the coupon from Angie's list for 2 hours of work.  He sent a list of the types of things he can do.  He finished our job (cutting and installing baseboards) in the 2 hour time frame.  We had such a great experience that we asked him to come back and fix a few more things, which he already has done!   He even returned extra materials to the store for us.   Now our house is brighter (new light fixtures), our chairs are sturdy again and the office looks complete with new baseboards.  We are working on a new list of things Dave can do.

I had a long list of jobs on the to do list at my house and Newman Repairs took a big chunk out of it.  He responded promptly to my initial email and to my subsequent phone calls and/or text messages. I have had him over a total of 3 times to do things like: baby proof my kitchen & bathroom cabinets, install hand rails on 2 stair cases, install a medicine cabinet, spray foam some small openings in the basement, hang shelves, fix a kitchen cabinet door, fix a piece of broken wood work on our railing and hang a bulletin board.
Dave takes his time and double/triple checks to make sure things are done correctly.

Dave had contacted me to set up an appointment, then followed up prior to the date to determine if there would be any special items necessary for projects I wanted to complete. I had appreciated his preparedness and initiative. He was on time, and there were many projects that were completed (and well) in a short time.

Mr. Newman and I discussed what I wanted done on the phone when we made the repair appointment so I could be sure these were .jobs he could handle.  He called me about half an hour before he was to arrive to doublecheck that I was there to let him in and show him exactly where repairs were needed.  He arrived right on time.  He was polite, personable and did exactly what I asked him to do. He was very straightforward and honest in explaning that one of the repairs could not be counted on forever and what might make it more reliable.  He worked efficiently and got my screens fixed that very day.  I was very pleased with Mr. Newman's work and would definitely call him for future handyman work at my house and recommend him to other people.

Dave took on the difficult project of building new storage units in the basement of our Condo Building.  Our basement was a mess, and getting messier.  So our Association took on the difficult project of tearing down the old storage units (we did this ourselves) and building new ones.  
Dave was just starting his business and I offered him the opportunity to take on this project.  We needed someone who was flexible and able to offer competent advice on how to proceed.  Dave helped w/the design of 6 -storage units.  The units were constructed of drywall and metal studs, with hinged wood doors.  One of our main requirements was to build the units in stages so that the owners could move their stuff around the basement while the units were being built, then move in once the units were completed.   Dave agreed to this process, which I know many contractors would never have.  It was done in three stages...again offering the owners of our building the ability to move their stuff.  This was key to our project as it was something we had put off for years due to the complexity of accommodating our owners.
We are all extremely happy with our new units.  Owners have told me repeatedly, that the units are better than they ever expected.  We feel having a uniform clean appearance in our basement only adds to the value of our property.  
Dave not only built the new units, but put in several new light fixtures in the basement.  Each storage unit has it's own fixture.
Dave was always available by phone and did professional work..  He was reliable, courteous, and eager to engage in the project.  We will use him again for projects in our building. And owners in the building feel confident in contacting him when needs arise in their units.

Dave was great! I called a few handyman and I liked Dave the most from the brief phone conversation. He's very polite, professional, and flexible. Ihad talked to a few handyman in the area and I found Dave's rate to be very competitive and reasonable. I decided to go with him because he was very flexible and I felt he's a good and honest person (versus someone who just drags on the work so you'd have to pay more as they normally charge by hour). Dave came to help us change a new faucet as our old one was dripping water and it's very annoying. he came to do the job on a short notice and he was willing to come in the evening (which is super helpful!).  He finished the job much quicker than I thought and we're enjoying the nice new faucet and new mailing box. He has great communication skill and explained things very well. He also kept the area clean. Nice guy, reasonable rate and good work.
All in all, we are very happy with Dave's work and has already given him a new list of things to be fixed. He just seems to know to fix many different things. One of the best Handyman in northshore!

Dave was punctual, smart, and professional. He performed an estimate, made suggestions about how we should solve the problems, and gave us choices about how to proceed. He obtained all materials and finished the job quickly.
