We were happy with their services. It was somewhat expensive, but they included both the security and the equipment in their price which made them the most reasonable option for us. They were cooperative, helpful and timely.  We will continue to use them in the future.

I contacted Safemart after seeing the reviews here on Angie's List and reviewing Safemart's website.  I decided to call to discuss their service and options.  A nice but very nervous person answered and he sounded like he was a young kid.  He was polite but first ran through a long spiel about how wonderful Safemart was and was clearly reading from his customer service script.  That was not an issue but when I kept trying to get to my questions he would always go back to his script.  I then had the opportunity to ask some questions and he was clearly not knowledgeable about the needs for my alarm system (which were basic).  For example, I asked if their central station was UL listed.  He then responded with a very vague answer and so I repeated the question and he admitted he did not know but asked to put me on hold to find out.  After about five minutes on hold, I decided this was not the company for me.  If my interaction with Safemart ended there, I would probably not be as critical.  However, since that call the same customer rep has called me seven times in the last week.  I cannot comment on Safemart's products or monitoring services but I was very disappointed with this interaction and it did not give me much confidence about their customer service or capabilities.  I ended up contacting FrontPoint, which has excellent reviews on Angie's List, and found their service far superior.  I am just waiting for the system to arrive and install.

While they do have a UL listed monitoring center, it does not have multiple redundant call centers that will monitor your system when one of their call centers goes down. That means that their one and only call center gets hit by a tornado, flood, fire or just loses power, your alarm panel will not be monitored for burglary, fire or any of the other services that you're paying for. This is a big risk for you and your family that I should have communicated more confidently as it's something that helps customers choose SafeMart over FrontPoint every day. If I called you back too many times in one day, I apologize. Most customers appreciate our follow up and we immediately stop calling anytime a customer asks us to. I wanted to help you make a great decision by saving money on our award-winning monitoring services with 3 redundant call centers and a short contract (just 12 months) at a much lower price than our competitors. These folks were great. They helped me quickly figure out what I needed. The system came ready to go, I just had to mount the sensors which was easy with their instructions and then they had me scheduled for an appointment to make sure it worked properly and to go over the details of the system. I'm getting a good system, with interactive Alarm.com monitoring at 50% of the price of just about everyone else I talked to.

I have used them on two different houses.  I paid $250 for the upfront amount.  They offer excellent customer service.  They are a strong brand.  Some of my neighbors have the service as well.  I really appreciated that there wasn't any pressure.  They let me customize.  They did exactly what I wanted.  They didn't pressure me into doing something that I didn't want.  They were really helpful in getting accurate information and it was just easy.  I like their brand, customer service and flexibility as well as ease with the way I want it to be setup.  I have used them twice, so everything was great.

I had 3 quotes, including a large well-known name, a small company that came to the house and Safemart.  All provided an excellent, professional service in the quotes.   I did a LOT of research in making the decision and found comfort in the services being offered, e.g. the cellular coverage, smash protection, multiple alarm centers etc.  The single biggest decision factor was the monthly maintenance fee which at $20pm was less than half what I could find via other means and did provide the same coverage.  Be careful when you work out your costs, low up-front costs can commit you to long expensive monthly fees that soon wipe-out those savings.  Also always compare like-with-like as far as the equipment you get. Some companies go bare-bones, others over the top, but it's easy to make them comparable and then ask whichever you select for the equipment level you feel comfortable with.

The process was suprisingly easy and stress free.  SafeMart was with us every step of the way, a very professional and effeciently run organization! We recieved multiple emails along the way reminding us what step was coming up including video links on how to install the equipment. The member login account is fantastic and easy to navigate.We can monitor our sensors, notifications, pending alarms etc from there as well as from our cell phone alarm app. We are also notified by email immediatly if the sensors are tripped. SafeMart to us was the best buy. They offered the best monthly plan for the least amount of money and I liked that we could prepay for the year and were able to get an extra 3 months monitoring. I would not hesitate to recommend them to my family. We finally feel at ease leaving our house for the day!

Textbook installation. I couldn't start the install until Friday night for an install and walkthrough on Saturday morning. I had everything ready to go. I have touchscren remotes and they report doors or windows by the way they are named, not the zone they are in. The instructions could have been a little clearer on that as it took trial and error to work it out. The web site did make reference to "properly naming" the devices without any indication what a "proper name" is. Well, you want to make sure a door has the word door in it without the word "window". Likewise, windows need the name "window" in the description without the word door in the description. We've had the system in a week and we've had no false alarms. I didn't get an outside camera installed until a week afterwords as I needed to run some conduit. I'm getting full alarm notifications when I'm remote. I'll finish up the home automation with full expectations of controlling everything.
When submitting questions to the tech support, they seem slow in response, but they do respond.

Deb asked me several questions about my house and about what protection I wanted.  She carefully listened to everything I said and helped me design a security system that really met my needs.  I really liked how she would make some recommendations, let me ponder it for a day or two, call back with with more questions, and tweak the recommendations based on things I had thought of.  I never felt like I was bugging her at all with all my questions.

After I felt like I had the the system configured that I needed, I called Deb back to order.  That process was painless and I received the equipment within a few days.  You have to set up a time to activate the system, and you have to have it installed before that can be done.  I had some unrelated delays and had to reschedule my activation appointment a few times which was easily done online.

The system installation was easy with the included documentation and the online video tutorials.  The activation appointment was also painless.

The system works very well.  I couldn't be happier.  I almost paid more for FrontPoint because of their reputation.  In fact, I ordered a system from FrontPoint and called to cancel it after I realized I SafeMart was more helpful and much cheaper in the long run.  For the exact same equipment and better monitoring (I have interactive monitoring with SafeMart), I will save $263.51 over 3 years.  And I don't feel I lost anything by going with SafeMart over FrontPoint.

After doing a full days research on security companies and convincing my husband that we should self install our burglar alarm system, we contacted SafeMart. We wanted an easily installed system which would protect all of our exterior windows and doors,  would include motion detectors and smoke detectors and would be based off our cellular phones.  The representative worked with us to get the best possible configuration and price.  The $1300 mentioned above included 15 sensors for our doors and windows, 4 motion detectors, 2 smoke detectors,  one central monitoring base, one touchpad, window stickers, sign for front of house, 15 months of monitoring service and interactive service which enables you to control your burglar system over the internet and also thru your cell phone. Overall this was an excellent price!

My husband was able to easily install our system using the online videos and written instructions provided by the company within 2 hours. After installation, our sensor test indicated that we had a couple of minor issues.  We called the company and they were able to quickly help us correct the issues which included 1 malfunctioning sensor for which we are being sent a replacement and walking us thru the correct procedure for testing our smoke detectors.  While the representative was helping us, he noticed that we had an activation appointment for later on in the afternoon. Instead of having us wait for the afternoon appointment, he immediately activated our system and confirmed that it was communicating with the central monitoring station. The activation process was flawless. The rep  also took the time to go over the basic funtionalities of our system.

I have never been so impressed with a company as I am with this one!! From beginning to end they are in communication with you thru emails letting you know what has been done and what still needs to be done.  All representatives we were in contact with were professionals, knowledgeable,  polite and went out of their way to be helpful.

You will not be disappointed if you choose this company!!

After my wife and I bought a new house, we wanted to get a home security system for peace of mind. I did a lot of research to determine the company with a competative upfront hardware cost (needed 25 window and door sensors) and reasonable monthly monitoring cost. SafeMart provided both of these. Safemart uses alarm.com, which some of it's highly rated competitors use; however, SafeMart offers equivalent service for ~30% less / month. Safemart's monitoring service is also ~20% less / month than some of the big national monitoring services. The quote included the entire alarm system and monitoring service for 15 months which is remotely accessible via mobile devices, no contract.  A little note on costing out alarm systems, they'll likely have a higher upfront cost than you'd expect based on the claims of a free whole home monitoring system. Be sure to do a cost comparison with your specific needs in mind.

We have had the system for about a month now and haven't had any complaints about the service. The only minor issue we've had is the self adhesive tape for the wireless GE motion sensor and glass break sensor. The provided tape simply isn't strong enough to hold the sensors to the wall. After a few weeks, both sensors fell from their mounted positions, about a 7 foot drop. Both seem to be OK and operational. I would recommend screw mounting any sensors that aren't door or window sensors.

SafeMart was fantastic from start to finish.  First I visited SafeMart.com and did some research (I did the same for other companies). I called their sales reps who were really helpful.  Then, their system arrived, I have to admit I was a little nervous not having an installer come to my home, and the process to install my system was amazing.  Everything was laid out perfectly and I was able to have all of the equipment installed in under 30 minutes (I'm a 5'2" lady!)!!! I was blown away.  Since I've gone online with SafeMart, they've been great about answering any questions that I have and have helped me customize the system to fit my needs.  Awesome company, great people and super service!

I can't say enough good things about this company.  Friendly, polite and professional on the phone, prompt and professional service during activation and all-around a great deal with no long-term contracts.  The Simon XT Wireless system is available through a lot of security companies and pricing is all over the map.  Here you choose what components you want in your system at very competitive if not the lowest pricing, and setup a short 12-month monitoring program which you can renew or extend at any time.  The system arrives quickly and pre-programmed so installation takes only a few minutes.

You can easily add additional components.  And if you move frequently the system can move with you!  The ability to interact with your system remotely through a PC or smartphone, and the availability of home automation options is a plus too.  This company obviously takes customer service seriously and we're going to be long-term customers!

Note:  There are plenty of competitors to this system and similar services.  Many offer a discounted 'basic'' system but they require a three-year monitoring contract at a higher monthly cost.  Be sure to look at the total cost of the system including the monthly monitoring over the term of the contractto make sure you are getting the best overall value.
