Used there pre-configured service and customer service line to help with DIY install.   Wireless sensors simple to install with just mounting tape.  I was able to replace an existing wired unit and use the same pre-installed power wire for powering the control panel of GE Simon wireless uint.  That would probably be trickier for someone not comfortable with electrical/in-wall wiring.

I chose Safemart because I could save money on installation
and monitoring.  Plus, if I wanted to
make any changes in the future, I wouldn?t have to hire an expensive technician
with a minimum charge of $150+ just to show up to do something simple.  I chatted with Safemart about which sensors
would be best for my slightly recessed outside doors, as well as a very
recessed door.  Keep in mind there are
bigger contact sensors and small ones, (and hidden inside-the-door sensors)
If you don?t want to make your own shim (easily done with miniature wooden
?tongue depressors?, glued on top of each other, you can just buy the larger
sensors with looser requirements.  Smoke
and motion and flood sensors were easy to install.  They come pre-programmed to the Simon XTi
security ?panel?.  You install sensors,
make phone appointment with Safemart so they can get you going ?live?, send
them your contact list, and order of emergency calling.  For example, I asked them to call me first
if they get a fire signal, so I can prevent a call to the fire dept. if I just
had a problem with excessive smoke from the oven.  I can remotely view status and arm/disarm, and
make changes from my smartphone anywhere in the country.

I obtained a home security system through Safemart when I closed on my home. The salesperson was not pushy, but did give me a full quote as well as explain the promotion that was running at the time (2 for 1 door/window sensors). I went with them based on reviews that I had read and I'm glad I made the decision that I did. The few times I've had problems with sensors, the staff has been more than helpful in getting the problem resolved. Overall, I'm very pleased with my decision to go with Safemart.

In summary:
Great Customer Service and they aren?t pushy
Knowledgeable and patient security consultant team (ask for Joe Schutzman!)
Very responsive to system setup and technical questions about the various alarm system options and sensor components
Price match guarantee for systems and sensors
Monitoring Price point that is hard to beat!
In the end...I would definitely recommend Safemart.com to anyone looking to secure their home.   They were a pleasure to work with all the way through the process and always kept me informed about what was going on.  One of the best online shopping experiences I've ever had!

After being thoroughly disgusted with our former security company, I researched numerous options and concluded the wireless DYI was the way to go. I looked at several contenders in depth and spoke with a couple of sales people, but at the end of the day I went with Safeguard because: 1) all the how-to videos on line made it simple to install; 2) the sales person did not at any point try to up sell me;3) I could get the right mix of system and monitoring I was looking for ( not everyone offers both). When my equipment came, it was easy to install. The customer service and technical support were excellent. I would only caution on one thing: if you are relying on the mobile application to manage your security system, research this option carefully. It has yet to work with three of three mobile devices that I own. Tech support is unable to fix this problem.

People at SafeMart are good and approachable. They are pretty knowledgeable.  They go long ways to help somebody.  It is a  big system,  hard-wired and wireless combination.  The pricing was good and it was my first time to use their product so I thought it was a complicated system. And it is pretty sophisticated. The video was quite good   Their punctuality was fine and professionalism was actually good. They were accommodating.  The people is a good resource for somebody, that is why I like them.

It went pretty well. They misinterpreted my telephone hookup, so I had to upgrade to a wireless system. However, their tech support was really good. I just wish they would have told me I would have needed to get a digital system. I do think they are a good company, and I would recommend them.

I shopped several of the recommended security system companies online, and on Angie's List.  While I found much of the equipment to be similar (especially between SafeMart and FrontPoint), and prices to also be comparable, I found I had much better communication experience with SafeMart.  I was unimpressed with the person at FrontPoint that provided their initial information, answers  to my questions, and quote - while the SafeMart representative was eager to answer my questions, and did so much more pleasantly.
I selected a fairly large assortment of devices, and prepaid for the year (which gave me 3 months monitoring for free).  They shipped everything promptly, the instructions on use and installation were easy to read and follow and were self explanatory, and I was able to mount all the devices without difficulty.  NOTE:  I've seen several negative reviews stating that people were disappointed that no one came out to install the system.  This is a DO IT YOURSELF system, where YOU decide what you want and YOU place everything where you want, and they monitor your house remotely.
All e-mails and calls to and from them have been very prompt and very friendly.  They guy that called me to do the final set up could have used a couple cups of coffee before he called, but he was pleasant and helpful.  A few nights ago my alarm went off in the middle of the night.  One of my sensors had fallen off the wall and it tripped the alarm (I had wondered if it was going to stay where I had put it - my fault, not the device).  SafeMart called me almost immediately to see if everything was OK.
After over a week, I would say I am pleased.  My only complaint, which is minor, is that the phone app doesn't always accurately reflect the status of the alarm.  If I set the alarm with my phone, and later disarm from the panel, the phone usually still shows that the system is armed unless you hit the "refresh" button on the activate/ deactivate screen.  My wife's phone might show that the panel is armed, and mine will show that it's disarmed.  Until you "refresh" it often just shows what action you last took with the phone.

All in all a very smooth process, and customer service is flawless. I recommend working with Nate H. He is awesome, takes his time, and doesn't treat you like an account number.
When I first spoke to Nate he immediately checked my knowledge of the security options so that he could gauge my level of experience, which is a huge deal to me because I don't want someone talking down to me as if I had no education or
talking so high level that the assumption is that they are smarter than you. He made it a point to provide me with his contact information, and replied in a timely manner when I did send a question his way.
AWESOME EXPERIENCE! Happens very rarely, so I cherish the ones that I have.

I did not have any problems installing the system.  I am very satisfied.  On the first Monitor I received the battery would not charge.  I called the company and they sent me a new battery.  Again, would not charge.  I called back and they sent me a new unit.  I have not had any problems since.  I recommend this system if you want a wireless system.

That is excellent. It lets me know everything. On my cell phone I get a notice when I disarm or arm. If I open a door, each time it lets me know what door or window is open. It is exactly what I need. When I am away from home I feel much safer. If anything comes up, it will show up on my computer or my phone. I can always check in and it is an excellent service. I order it. They call me and I can set it up over the phone. All that went fine. Everything is online including the instructions. I can always talk to a live person if I get confused about anything. They just walk me step by step. Once I set the monitors on different windows and doors, they call in and take me step by step to check each one. It was much more simpler than I thought. I thought it would be difficult but it really worked out fine. It is just amazing. I pay about $39 a month and that is because I have got extra services. It can be as low as $19 a month. It is very reasonable and affordable. It works and everything is done online. Excellent quality and responsiveness is very sharp. They are very professional.

I purchased the receiver to monitor an existing alarm system in our home and when it arrived, the SafeMart representative walked me through the installation process step by step.   We then tested the monitoring system to be sure it was working and on the first test the receiver did not appear to connect with the monitoring company.  The representative called the manufacture of the receiver, and was able to make the necessary adjustments to ensure that the monitor device worked properly.  I purchased twelve months of monitoring service up front based on receiving an additional three free months of monitoring service at the completion of the first twelve.
All of the representatives I had a privilege of working with were professional, polite and competent.  The entire process was one that I enjoyed and I would highly recommend SafeMart to others.

Purchased equipment. Some phone support but you are on your own for product installation.
Not happy with sales ;  now that I understand the product better I realize that sales dept maximized profit at my expense.

Response from Livewatch Security
"Hi Member, I'm glad that we were able to resolve your issues. After you spoke with one of our Directors last Friday, you spent 30 minutes on the phone with Dustin (a technician) and came out of that conversation happy with the progress you made in understanding the full functionality of the system and all of the features that are available. It sounded like you were delighted with our responsiveness and support by the end of the conversation. While we aren't always the "cheapest" option (although most of the time we are 30-70% less than our traditional competitors), we do deliver the most value in the home security industry. I'm happy that in the end, you were delighted with our service and support and we look forward to working with you for many years to come! Please don't hesitate to reach out to technical support if you ever have any questions!"

The sales person was always happy to answer my questions via phone, email, or chat.  What I liked about the sales team is that they are not pushy at all.  They give you every opportunity to take advantage of their promotional sales by sending emails, which is how I got such a great deal on my system.  Purchasing the system and services was a breeze.  The sales person transferred me to a billing/customer support rep on the same phone call and my system was shipped within a day and arrived at my house in just 2 days!  One thing that makes SafeMart particularly different from other alarm system companies is that they offer Plug & Protect, which means they configure all of your hardware/devices for you before they are shipped, and you install everything yourself when it arrives.  This might scare some people off but I promise it is such a breeze.  The sensors have magnets as well as double sided tape that is more than sufficient for mounting on doors and windows.  The instructions and videos make it very very easy to install the devices that I wouldn't consider it an inconvenience at all!  When I had an issue with my glass break sensor beeping, I jumped on a chat with a service tech from SafeMart and had the sensor up and working properly in about 20 mins.  Great service and great products!

When I initially contacted SafeMart, I already had some idea of what I was looking for as I had been talking to several other vendors over the course of about two weeks. The representative I worked with initially spent a great deal of time with me over the phone, as well as through online chat, to ensure that I was getting exactly what I would need. Every conversation after that, some of which were with different representatives, seemed equally oriented towards customer satisfaction. I found all of the reps I worked with during the sales process to be very knowledgable, particularly with regard to compatibility of the various types of panels and sensors they sell.
Once I made the purchase, I spent about 20 minutes with another rep over the phone to provide all of the needed information and to schedule an activation appointment. I received the equipment 4-5 days later and completed the install in about 1.5 hours (note that I payed the extra $40 or so to have SafeMart pre-configure the system). That included a primary and secondary panel, 11 intrusion sensors of various types, 2 smoke/fire alarms, and 2 CO alarms. Most of the equipment can be installed with double-sided tape (which they provide) though you have the option of using screws as well.
Two days later I received the call for my activation appointment, which took about 15 minutes. They completed the activation and ensured that the equipment was communicating and functioning normally.
Overall, extremely positive experience. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to my family and friends.

After reviewing several companies (FrontPoint, ProtectAmerica, Protect1,
ADT, Brinks, Titan, SimpliSafe, and Safemart) I settled on Safemart.
The review was done mostly online, but I did contact ADT, Brinks and
Titan. Of all I have to say Brinks was very responsive and quite
transparent (something I can't say for ADT or Titan - both wanted to
come to my house before even discussing any details). At the end I
settled for Safemart because it only required a 1year commitment, they
backed up their equipment with top notch warranty, and they used
standard equipment (same as used by most others - with the exception of
Brinks). I bought the GE XT system and have no complains. I was between
Simplisafe and Safemart and ended up choosing Safemart mainly because
their equipment is standard and Simplisafe's is unique to them.
I
researched several different options, exchanged several emails with
them, and when I finally decided I gave them a call. They talked me out
of some sensors which would not really add benefit to my location and
suggested some better ones. All in all, I ended about $10 less of my
original estimate. They pre-programmed the whole system, sent it to my
house, passed me on to the service company and got the service ready to
go. The equipment arrived 3-4 days later, installation was pretty
straight forward (they setup a call to walk you through the system), I
waited the 72hr "trial" period (to make sure you are used to the
system), and then fully activated the system (you can bypass this 72hr
"trial" if you so desire).
So far I've had no issues. I can monitor the system through the web or mobile, and control it as well.
