I can't call what Hanson's men did "work." This was workmanship at the least, and I would go so far as to call it art. I never noticed before the difference in a fine roofing job, but when I look at other roofs now, ours looks like a work of art! 
We had a roofing emergency. Hanson and another company responded immediately. We went with Hanson based on reputation. Their price was substantially higher than the others, but they were very accommodating in scheduling the repair within the week and even lowering the price slightly. I have never seen workers with that kind of focus and determination. They worked from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for five days, and they worked in extreme heat some of those days. They were always pleasant. They cleaned up daily, and then did a very nice clean up at the end. They also responded immediately when we called about a couple things we saw that needed attention after they were done.

We've used them for years. Everything was great. They could've told us we need a whole new roof, and they didn't. The patching took care of it.

It took longer than I expected to get an appointment for an estimate, but Peter was right on time, understood exactly what I wanted done, and offered some suggestions and options for gutter repair vs. replacement on my house.  Turn around time for the estimate was fast, the price was fair, and the work was completed within a week.
The crew who did the work was fast and efficient, and cleaned up thoroughly.  The supervisor for the crew was careful to verify how I wanted things done, and was very responsive to my questions and concerns. 
Hanson Roofing was professional, pleasant, responsive, and they did quick, high-quality work.

The owner of the company came out and did a thorough inspecition of the roof and sent me a written estimate. I had four estimates on the roof and Hanson's was in the middle. The work was started about a week later. The workmen came at 8:00 in the morning and the job was done in two days. The owner came out during the installation and after the installation was completed to monitor the work. He found an area of flashing near the chimney that he thought needed addition caulking. He sent men out to do that within several days. They thoroughly cleaned the area around my house each day. One thing done on my roof that was not done on some of my neighbor's roofs was the painting of the flashing and roof vents to match the color of the roof. I thought that looked much better than the shiny aluminum vents that I've seen installed on some roofs. I had selected shingles with a 30 year warranty. They had their labor guaranteed for five years. Most of the other roofers had a one year or two year guarantee.

They did the work in a timely manor and charged us a fair price.

They did a wonderful job. They were courteous and smart. They allowed  me to have them repair the roof and if the repair didn't work they offered to credit the amount I spent for a total fix. They were excellent. I will use them again.

I have been using them for 35 years. They are very professional. The price is very reasonable. Their quality of work is also great.

The experience was outstanding. I called them to come and give me an estimate and they were out within several days. They made an appointment and came out, and were here when they said they were going to be here. We agreed to have them put on a new roof and new gutters and downspouts, and their crew came out and did the entire roof in one day. They completely cleaned everything up, and even went over the grass with a big magnet to make sure they got all the nails. They have given an unconditional 30-year guarantee on the roof. We had a lot of the granules coming off in the first year, and we could see the dark gray granules on our white patio, and I was concerned that we were perhaps losing more granules than necessary. I called Hanson up and they came out the same day. They asked me if it was convenient for them to come out at 3 o' clock and I agreed and the guy was out here at 3 o' clock. He got out a ladder, climbed up on the roof and took pictures. He told me that everything was fine with my roof and that I had a couple of nails that were popping out a little bit on the ridge vent and that he would take care of them. He took care of the nails and off he went. They now come out every year and inspect it and they are going to do that for 30 years. I am not going to say that they were the cheapest since they weren't, but I don't know of anybody else that unconditionally guarantees their product for 30 years. The price sounded pretty much in line with what everybody else was charging. I was absolutely flabbergasted when they said that they could come out the same day and they did.

I called the company.  No one returns phone calls for two days.  Then, I called again and was told that the company can not send out anyone to inspect my roofing problems for at least 2.5 weeks.  The woman did not say anthing to express regret. 

Not returning phone calls and bad manner on the phone.  It is not a good indication for a great company.

When the project was done, the area of ponding was 1/3 small but not fully resolved.

Hanson offered lots of excuses and tap dancing to tell me that some ponding was to be expected (this is NOT what they told me when they sold me on the project) He also made it abundantly clear that he wasn’t interested in redoing the work.  

Not satisfied with Chuck’s explanation, I sought a couple other opinions. Consensus was that the job should have been done better. I wrote to Hanson asking to discuss the issue, and expressed that since he wouldn’t redo the job that instead they could take some money off the bill. Chuck’s response to my letter come in the form of a very confrontational and rude voicemail in which he accused me of “extorting” from him. 

In the end I was able to have a calm and rational discussion with Chuck and we came to a settlement in which he discounted my bill slightly. 

Long story short, the communication was not good, the work was not good and the way they handled the problem was really not good. For all this you’d at least like their price to be lower than the other vendors who bid. To the contrary, theirs was the highest.

Overall excellent experience.  After a series of storms we began to have water damage in a segment of drywall.

I had a number of people evaluate this.  One roofer wasn't sure what it was and said he'd return, but never followed up.  A second roofer said it was due to a leak in a bathroom vent fan pipe.  A third roofer didn't say what the problem might be, but simply recommended re-tarring the entire roof.  A fourth roofer said it was a plumbing problem, namely, that the plumbing stack vent (a PVC pipe) was cracked.  Of these four roofers, NOT A SINGLE ONE actually went up on the area of the leak.  The fifth person, a plumber, came and actually went up in the attic and examined the plumbing stack vent, and said it did not appear to be the problem; he recommended wrapping paper towel around the pipe at several different levels and examining it after a storm to see what got wet.  I followed his advice, and the paper towel that was wrapped around the pipe at a height of six inches beneath the roof was wet, which told me that the leak really was from the roof.

Finally, Hanson Roofing was the 6th contractor who came, and he was the only one who actually went up on the roof (which is a mansard style) and determined that the caulk seal around the plumbing stack vent was broken.  He took photos of this.  There were three other plumbing stack vents on the roof whose seals were not broken, but they were constructed similarly and, in his opinion, were at risk for leaking soon.

Within a week another employee of Hanson Roofing came out and in about an hour had re-caulked all four plumbing stack vents.

The job was performed as per the estimated price and on schedule.  They also returned on short notice to repair a problem noticed by some other workman on the part of the roof they did not replace.  Since I live a thousand miles away from this house, I really appreciated dealing with a company that could plan and execute a fairly complicated project without any overseeing by me.  All in all, we had a wonder experience with Hanson Roofing.

Hanson also performs annual gutter cleaning for this house, although I have not been around to evaluate results.  The price seems quite reasonable, though.

They came out promptly and gave us an estimate.  We scheduled to have them come out to do the work on our downspouts.  We replaced the smaller downspouts with larger ones.  They were prompt, clean, professional and did a great job.  We also had to replace the downspout on our garage.  They used the smaller downspout from the house and used that (love that they were able to reuse!).

With all the work we had done on our house in the past year, this was the easiest company to deal with!!

They had done the roofing job for the previous owners and came back and did repairs very reasonably, even though I am a new owner to the house.

They explained as to what they were doing and what had been done improperly beforehand. They were efficient and quick with the job. It worked as the roof has not leaked in a year.

They came out promptly & gave an estimate that was very detailed & reasonably priced.  The skylight was ordered & they came out about 4 weeks later to make all of the repairs.  Given all of the rain we've had they did a great job - no water in the house since!  They cleaned up nicely & disposed of all of their materials.  Highly recommend!!

It went well. I hadn't filed this report earlier because I was waiting to see if the roof started leaking again, but it never did.

We have used them for about 35 years. They are very knowledgeable about our type of roof. If something is not right, they know what to do. They do excellent work, they're prompt, and are very reasonably priced. They save tiles from other jobs, which is nice because they are able to match them to our roof, which wouldn't be possible with new tiles.

I've been using Hanson Roofing for 20 years and they've never disappointed me. Since my situation needed a quick diagnosis and repair, they came the day after I called, and installed the downspouts within 2 days. The other company I called recommended I replace all gutter and downspouts at a cost of $2400! Hanson has always been professional, reliable, and conservative in their estimate of what needed to be done. I wouldn't use anyone else.

Worked incredibly efficiently and carefully. Did a great job cleaning up around the house - we have two small children and I feared misc roofing nails &/or shingle scraps, but there were none to be found. One of the roof vent got dinged in installation and rather than installing in anyway and hope we wouldn't notice the foreman came back first thing the next morning and replaced it himself. We didn't get several estimates as they came so highly recommended, so I'm not certain how we did on price, but it looks great and I'm sure the quality and efficiency were factored into the price. Had a scheduling issue with the gutter crew (separate from roofing crew), but when they arrived they worked very quickly. Ice seems to have popped a few of the screws loose around the brackets securing the downspouts.
