Joe P. did a great job. He was prompt, courteous, professional and conducted the work swiftly, explaining everything we needed to be aware of without coming across pushy, know-it-all, or condescending. We would be happy to have Joe back when we are ready for our furnace and a/c replacement.

We initially contacted Lifeline in May when our sump pump malfunctioned. Lifeline came out the same day and replaced the pump. However, the pump malfunctioned the next time it rained. Lifeline came out again and replaced the pump free of charge, as it was under warranty. Unfortunately, the pump again malfunctioned in the next rain storm. Our house was built in 1966 and is very unusual, so the particular sump pump causing us the trouble is not the run-of-the-mill setup. It has taken many visits and adjustments, along with the replacement of some rusted galvanized steel piping, to remedy the situation. Though it has been frustrating for us, I cannot speak more highly of the level of customer service we have received throughout the process. Lifeline stands by their work and has never given up on our situation. In addition, they are highly responsive and professional.

Person named John called around 9AM to say that he will be at my home in 15 min. The original appointment was between 8AM & 9AM. - John came well prepared with all his gears and plastic cover for his shoes so house won't get dirty. Good. - started servicing Furnace as I purchased their service for $59 from Angie's list. - Cleaned up Furnace nice and recommended to do the service once a year to keep it running longer. Good - While servicing Furnace, I asked to add up Water Heater as well to the service. He mentioned that will be additional $49. - After I said yes to that he brought the water pipe and started flushing the water heater after completing Furnace service. Good - John was done in about 30-40 min with both Furnace and Water Heater Service. Overall John was very good. Just flushing the water heater for $49 doesn't sound reasonable to me. It should be either DIY project or $20 max when combined with other services. But John's services are very good, he is very professional and providing important information on maintenance. Thank You John!!!

Service was great and quick. Had to pay an additional $80 after the $100 for $200 coupon.

Joe was very professional and personable. He called to let me know when he was on his way. He performed the 20 point inspection and informed me that there was too much refrigerant in the unit, which could be h****** the compressor. I opted to have him fix that for me, for an additional charge. He worked quickly and kept me updated on what he was doing. Everything seems to be running smoothly.

The price for the new toilet was too high.

we scheduled a 20-point air conditioner tune-up with Lifeline Plumbing Heating and Cooling. scheduling was easy. our unit was an older one and was told by Joe, the service man, that the unit was on it's last legs and it may be time to look at a new unit. I agreed but asked to just have our current unit tuned up while we consider buying a new unit. Joe cleaned and tuned it up and had it running nicely. Later that day the unit stopped working. I called Lifeline Plumbing to report that the unit had stopped working just hours after it had been tuned up and asked if someone could come buy to take a look so we could confirm if something may have been done during the tune up to cause the unit to stop working, or if it was just a cruel coincidence. I was asked if it was an emergency and i stated that it was not but i would like someone out by the next day. The next day i called to asked if they were still going to have someone come out to look at my unit and was told yes, however the service man was at another job. the serviceman, Joe, stayed in contact with me throughout the day letting me know his status and that he would be out to my house as soon as possible. unfortunately this was during the warmest stretch of the year and we could not go without an air conditioner, we borrowed a window unit from a neighbor and I told Joe not to worry about coming out. Joe did his job, he was professional, honest and i appreciated his keeping in touch with me to make sure we were alright as we did not have an air conditioner, i do believe that this was a case of coincidence that my unit died not long after the tune-up. this was just an unfortunate situation and I don' t know that Lifeline could have done anything different with the exception of having more HVAC professionals on staff to cover situations like this.

My appointment was between 10 am and 1 pm on 9/17/15 (Thu). I made sure I was home for that 3-hour window.When nobody showed up by 12:50pm, I called and I was told they scheduled me for between 1-4 pm by mistake. I am NOT going to wait for another 3 hours for this appointment on top of 3 hour I already waited. So I have to make myself availvale on another day for a rescheduled appointment on 9/22/15 (Tue). I insisted on being first customer on the time slot. They should have confirmed the appointment time the day before like other contractors. This gave me a very bad first impression on this contractor. I sincerely hope that somebody will show up on the next date to get the work done.

I called in mid/late August and talked to , I believe the owner. Tyler was great and referred me to a contractor who had experience with water pressure pumps - we need this for our in-ground irrigation system, but we also need it for the house because our house was build in 1917 and our main is smaller than standard/code, so pressure is weak. Sam was professional, punctual and great to work with. He did a great job replacing some, and fixing some other fixtures, resulting in an outstanding overhaul of both a new pressure pump, but also a huge improvement on our water main and shut off valves. I will be recommending this company, including both Sam and Tyler, to our friends.

He explained all he was doing and after finishing his work explained all that he did. He was kind, respective and knowledgeable. I will ask for Joe again for our next air and furnace checkup.

operator was great Steve Schneider came right out started working right away found the clog got it cleared cleaned up work areas really nice, if I have anymore future issues I will definitely be calling for Steve.

Excellent work! We couldn't have been happier. They came in, did the job and did a little extra, too. Tim, who fixed our toilet, felt like a member of the family. He gave me all the facts I needed, and was very up front with information. I really appreciated that.

I have used this company 3 times in 3 weeks. The techs are always timely, professional, polite, and patient. Everything is explained in great detail and they offer information about things that may be needed in the future. Quotes are clearly written and followed. 100% satisfied every time! Corey was prompt, competent and neat. He offered several price options for work to be done and was very informative and experienced with plumbing issues.

Steve called ahead to let me know he was on his way and then arrived on time. He was friendly and professional and proceeded to replace my valves in a timely manner. He moved the furniture necessary to get at the shut off and left the place spotless. He thoroughly explained the process for replacing the outside valves.The price was fair and I was highly satisfied!

The leak was found quickly. They were late for the appointment but they kept me informed of what was going on. They are extremely knowledgeable and understand how to work in a high-rise building. Additionally they understand about the Chicago building codes. There was no mess for me to clean after they left. They were also good at explaining what was going on in laymen's terms. I made a good choice. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs help finding a leak or other plumbing repairs.

This is the second year I've purchased this deal. So pleased with the results! The gentleman who provided the service yesterday was professional, efficient, and friendly. He said I have a high quality sump pump and it is working properly and in great shape. I appreciate the honesty of Lifeline Plumbing employees. He certainly could have said I needed a new sump pump but instead was honest and did not attempt to sell me something I did not need. THANK YOU!

The plumber inspected the pump, back-up pump and the back-up battery. He reviewed the functions of these items for my husband and gave him pointers on how to keep all these things in good working order. He was very thorough and his suggestions were very helpful.

Visit 1: John arrived on time to perform the tuneup, he wanted to first check the state of everything in the basement and forewarned me that the furnace we had was notorious for heat exchange cracks which can be dangerous for carbon monoxide reasons. I asked how much he would charge to check the furnace and he offered to do it for no further charge. He pulled the blower out of the furnace and unfortunately found a few cracks in the heat exchanger. That bit of bad news out of the way we proceeded outside to the AC condenser and at the result of his testing told me that the unit would probably make it through the summer but the compressor was not functioning at its full capacity and the fan was on its way out. (the noise was pretty apparent) John wrote me up some estimates for new equipment and explained the differences between some of our choices. Visit 2: I was pretty shocked to have someone come out and inspect my AC and to find out that both my AC & Furnace were needing to be replaced. I try to be a savvy consumer so i wanted a second opinion. I had another highly rated company come out to double check both units. They told me the furnace was fine, and the ac just needed a little freon. Based on the fact i was unable to see the cracks using an inspection camera myself, i called Lifeline back a little unsure if i was being scammed or not. Tyler convinced me to let them come back out for a second time to prove me and the other service provider wrong. Tyler also told me there was no additional cost and if John was unable to prove what he saw, they would buy me a new furnace. John returned with Tyler and they pulled the heat exchanger entirely out of my furnace to prove what he had seen. I felt like a bit of a jerk but at least now i knew for sure what we had going on. There were several cracks not seen by my untrained eye. Based on the level of service we are able to expect, we did end up going with lifeline for our new system, but we'll save that for another review.

The guys arrived on time and were very careful about making sure they did not track anything into the house. Over the course of the day they got the old unit out and began getting the new unit in. They had their work cut out for them but worked quickly. By about 3:30 we had the AC back on and a short while later we were able to test the heat. The new unit runs very quietly, until the blower kicks on high we can barely tell it's running. We have been able to keep the house cool all summer without any trouble and based on the last couple of electric bills it runs much more efficiently than our old unit. Hopefully the furnace saves us even more this winter over the old unit to help cover the cost of the new install. The only thing I marked them down for is price and we do feel we got a fair deal. I try to spend as wisely as I can and i got several quotes that were lower, but lifeline was able to come close enough in price that we went with them anyway based on how much Lifeline has gone above and beyond for us previously.
