Description of Work: This company tackled a complicated drainage problem with professionalism and awesome promptness. The brine discharge line from our water softener was laid just below the gravel in our crawl space, run along the back wall or the foundation and just allowed to discharge under the gravel. This worked for many years and we were unaware of this condition and it caused no problem. The ground became saturated and suddenly we had the discharge water coming up around the foundation wall and backing up and over flowing next to the softener. I discovered this about 4 PM on a Sunday afternoon. Found Life Line Plumbing on Angie's List and called them thinking to leave a message. I got a plumber immediately, told him the problem and he offered to come and address the problem. I said I didn't wish to pay an overtime fee as this was not an emergency, he assured me that they don't charge overtime fees period, and said he and his assistant would be available to come immediately if we wished. Long story short they came, assessed the problem, gave us three options. We accepted the one he recommended and they went to work in our not too high crawl space and after about 5 hours had the problem fixed. We also decided to get a new softener and they brought one within two days and installed that. Mike and his helper did a fantastic job of cleaning up, even filled the new softener salt tank with salt. This was a great experience for us and we highly recommend this company to any one who is looking for a plumbing company with great expertise, professionalism, promptness, and courtesy.

The previous owner took several shortcuts which can cause problems if a sewer backup occurs, which the plumber pointed out. These are illegal shortcuts which I will have them corrected.

Description of Work: My Sump Pump was original to my home, since 1997, that said... during heavy rain it would run about every 25 secs.. Mike did some troubleshooting, and discovered my check valve was shot. Figuring that I have gotten my money's worth out of the original pump, he installed a new, and greater hp pump. He gave recommended several options, and I chose one that would meet my needs, and budget. It is warranteed parts and labor through the company as well. The total spent included the Angies List offer.

Description of Work: Mike suggested I go into the crawl space with him so he could better explain our sump pump. He showed and explained in detail our pump and that we did not have a back up system. We had him replace our existing pump and also put in a back up system. He took out both pumps and the PVC to show us the difference then after all was installed we all crawled in the crawl space and he explained how to test the back up and how everything runs.

Description of Work: We had the outside water faucet replaced. While performing the job LIfeline saw that I had a mainline water leak. I had them replace the pipe which could have caused me a lot of issues later on if the line would have broke.

Description of Work: Mike came out to rod out my sewer line. It had previously been rodded out twice by another plumber, but it kept clogging every couple of weeks. I wasn't calling them back. In addition to cleaning out the line, Mike put a camera down the drain to show us the problems. I was very nervous, but discovered that it was in better shape than I had feared. Being able to see the problem let me know they wouldn't do work that wasn't needed. The previous plumber couldn't/wouldn't put a camera down the line.

Description of Work: needed 2 gas line shutoff valves replaced , one in kitchen and one in laundry room.Also had hot water valve shutoff near hot water tank replaced. Removed and repaired a leaking saddle valve for old refrigerator water line. Ran water softener through full cycle to check for proper operation.Also gave estimate for replacement of water softener and two water main shut off valves. Installed a dryer and stove. Took one appliance with and took other one into garage for removal at a later date

Description of Work: Bathtub was leaking into the basement, Mike used silicone to patch the drain plug in around 15-30 min (both diagnosis and patching)! Super fast and very professional service call.

In addition, they also installed a new shower and tub plumbing setup that included a remote bubbler system and body sprays. Work done was on time, professional and with good demeanor. Plumber (Mike) arrived with an apprentice, and gave 3 options/estimates to choose from. Minimum was just doing what we needed at $450; rebuilding the cartridge inside the handle and enzyme treatment was around $650; and fixing the sink drain, which is slow, rodding out the tub/shower drain and included an enzyme treatment, around $950. We needed new shower and tub fixtures installed. We had purchased them ourselves from a plumbing supply company. We chose the middle option, and purchased the enzyme treatment to do ourselves. My husband called me at work, and Mike was very accommodating, explaining all the options, so my husband and I could decide. Took several hours, but done perfectly, and all works great. The drain plug would not go in easily - he had to cut a hole in the base of the bedroom wall to see that the drain was improperly installed by the builders. He did what he could to fix that as well, within the price agreed upon, and it looks and works great. Minimal damage to wall - can barely tell where he cut. It is behind an armoire, which they moved out of the way, and moved back. We can make the hole an access, or fix it. My husband called me again, and Mike explained what he had to do and why before opening the wall, which was really great. Although I was hoping for lower prices, since I had purchased the fixtures, I would use them again. (And will - my hose faucet in the back yard is leaking!) He did need to be paid in full upon completion of the work.

Description of Work: Discovered my power vent hot water heater was leaking from the top after 10 years and I had a couple of toilets with small leaks. Called a couple of plumbers for estimates but felt the most comfortable contracting with Lifelong and found the pricing to be comparable to others. During the course of reviewing all my issues we discovered one of the sump plumps installed by the builder not working and the second sump pump to most likely be shortly following based on the noise the motor was making. Mike from Lifeline offered a good price to replace both while he was present to save me another service call at a later date.
