I had to have them out a number of times to do follow up work. They were very responsive though and were prompt. We had an issue with our original pump failing. The first technician came out and put in a new pump and a better back up system than what we had before. There were some issues with the way that the plumbing in out house. They kept sending people out to fix that free of charge to get that fixed. It seemed like they had a hard time getting the sump pump working due to it failing. They had to do a number of things to get this thing done. They were also on the phone with me numerous times too. They took my calls and came out for me, but it was an overall long process.

After a bad experience with another contractor (see my review of Perfect Home Services). I called up Lifeline and had a plumber come out to review my sewer main. After Lifeline camera'ed my sewer line, they confirmed that there was no break in my line, and that it was fairly gunked up/requireing a hydrojetting service. I had this service done three years ago for about 1400 dollars by a different contractor, Lifeline gave me 20% off for being on Angie's List, so it dropped their price to about $1000, which was an easier pill to swallow.

LOVE the new toilet. I had researched beforehand, so I knew the Gerber Viper was a good one?however, they did have an upgrade (another Gerber) in the truck, which had all the features I wanted. So, I paid more for the better toilet. The job was done quickly and the plumber was very helpful and patient in answering all my questions. Great work. He also helped with a minor adjustment under the kitchen sink; no extra charge. Never thought I'd be so happy about a new toilet, but we've needed one for many years. It's such a relief to have a great-working toilet in the downstairs bathroom with absolutely no problems. Definitely would hire again.
Description of Work: Installed a new toilet; I upgraded to a more expensive one, so the Angie's List deal was kind of moot.

Plumber had to remove our toilet to access the sewer line, which was an extra $99 charge. That was unexpected. He inspected the line and said it looked good, no obstructions, just normal rust for its age. No rodding or cleaning was done, as he said the lines were open. I had wanted to make sure there were no tree roots, etc. in the lines, just to be on the safe side. We discussed the prices they offer for installing a new toilet, which we needed in one bathroom. I wasn't able to pay $600 on the spot for the toilet and installation, so I passed on that (they do carry them in the truck in case a customer wants one). He did good work and gave me all the information I needed. Very nice, very professional.

I had a leaky shower head in the master bath. I'd gotten a quote from one plumbing company and was shocked so when I saw an Angie's List Good Deal offer from Lifeline I purchased it. They came out and replaced the mixing valve. The work was done well, quickly and professionally.

This was a real mystery at first. Our furnace area is in the center of our lower level and our utility room with our washer / dryer is in a separate room. We are on a septic system and the ejector is in the utility room. We found our carpet wet at different times and could not figure out where the water was coming from. Finally isolated it down to our drain overflowing/backing up in the furnace room when the rinse cycle was activated on our washing machine. The problem was when a high volume of water was going out to the ejector, it would cause the backup. There was no issue with using the sink, toilet and shower in our full bath which is also on the lower level. Without going into detail, I had "Roto Rooter" out two separate times for a cost of $398.00 and made the problem worse. I called the service manager and he informed me he would dispatch another tech and would call me back to confirm a service date. That never happened and when I called him back 3 times it went to voicemail and never received a follow-up. (I would not recommend "Roto Rooter" for any plumbing repairs.) Went to Angie's List and found Lifeline Plumbing. Tech came out and knew exactly what was wrong but wanted to confirm with Lead Tech just to get a second set of eyes on the issue. Lead Tech came out next day and confirmed failure and corrective action. This really impressed me that Lifeline really wanted to get it right the first time. Two days later 2 techs came out with a high pressure "Hydro Jet" and cleared my drains. I am a Service Manager in another industry and can tell you the Lifeline Team is OUTSTANDING with professionalism, customer service, technical ability, response time, follow-up and pro-active information on keeping the drains clear in the future. Specifically the outstanding techs that took care of this issue: Greg, Mike, Jamie and Eric.
Description of Work: Had a blockage and backup on our lower level drain. It would overflow only when the rinse cycle of the washing machine was in progress and water was ejecting. Lifeline Plumbing fixed the failure with a "Hydro Jet" flush of the drains.

It went very well. Keith, our plumber (he's now ours!) was very thorough in his assessment of the damage and the extent of the repairs. He's polite, detailed, and honest about what needs to be done. He gave us options and didn't try to push us in any direction. He also offered additional services for repair of dry wall damaged by the flooding from the drain pan.

The responsiveness, professionalism were great. Each person I spoke to was very polite. The overall price was a rip-off though, according to another professional in this line of work. I wish I had called the other professional first, who is not a part of Angie's List. | |The up-charge on parts is significant. Even though this was a "Big Deal" purchase, basically the $59. was equivalent to a trip charge. Bottom line: Lifeline used Big Deal advertising to have a ready stream of customers. Not bad for no advertising on their part, Angie's List did the marketing for them. Just like many other reviewers noted, the prices are off-puttingly high. But, if price is no object, you won't object to the charges.

[member name removed], I am very sorry you were unhappy with the pricing of our services. We do appreciate the feedback you gave us. It does take many resources on our part to offer a great service and have knowledgeable technicians who are polite to our customers. We chose to offer great service and great products, which is what most people want these days. We feel that Angie's List was designed to find great service providers, not just the cheapest guy. It is our goal to save people as much money as we can without compromising you home or safety. Thank you for using us, feel free to call us if you need any clarification on the work performed. We had a disgustingly clogged toilet and Greg came out and augured it, getting it flushing again. We had tried plunging to no avail. Greg called to let me know when he was coming and was on time and very professional. He told me the cost first, and then fixed the problem. He asked me other questions to make sure it wasn't a bigger problem than just that one toilet, which it wasn't. He even cleaned the toilet afterwards! We are happy customers! Thanks Lifeline!

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and they did a good job. My husband was more in charge of dealing with them, but whatever they did seemed to work for fixing our flooding in the basement. They were very nice, accommodating, prompt and professional. Since they worked on our basement we have not had any problems so I highly recommend them. My husband would not have taken the service if he thought the price was unreasonable or that we were being taken.

The toilet bowl would fill with water, but would not cycle and drain normally. The plumber removed a blockage so that the toilet performed normally. He also pointed out some parts that will likely need to be replaced soon. The guys were punctual, professional, and explained all of the options up to replacing with the toilet with a top of the line model. Fortunately for me, the least expensive option worked!

It was very good. I thought he was a little bit too pricey. I was figuring it by the hour, it might've been over $275 an hour. That's pretty high for quality. I was thinking more around $200 an hour. I had him do additional work after the $99 for $200 worth of work. He did a nice clean job.

Purchased Big Deal for flush of water heater. Paid for second unit flush on site. Both were completed without issue. Price exactly as agreed. Showed up on time. Efficient. That is where the good experience ends. The technician suggested that I have his company re-do the exhaust system for my water heaters (at a minimum) because I he said I had a carbon monoxide issue. So long story short: I wondered why my carbon monoxide detector wasn't detecting the problem, so I pressed the test button. The alarm went off, the system automatically notified ADT monitoring services. ADT called the fire department. The fire department showed up. I told them all was fine - just a test. As long as they were at my home, I asked them to use their equipment to test for the carbon monoxide problem. No problem of any kind.

I bought the $200 worth of plumbing for $99 Angie's list big deal coupon and brought them in on a small job to see how they'd do since i have much more extensive work to do in other rooms (kitchen, powder room). They were on time, professional, even came out on Sunday and Mike wrote and estimate for $630 for what i thought was about 1-2 hrs work. I was surprised that he said if i sign, they'll do the work right then (on Sunday). I said i just wanted estimate and can't have them there on Sunday working. I also said the estimate was absurdly high for the work i wanted done. He balked a bit then said OK how about $430. I must say i was surprised this was all negotiable, but i did agree to that and they came back on Tues and did the work. It took less than two hours and looked fine. If you go with them, just be sure to get the best price. He told me the $630 way was different than the way he did it for $430??? It would have looked better for $630 inside the wall! Since no one will ever see what's behind the wall and vanity, i got the job done for less. There is one more thing i didn't know. I was removing cabinets a week later in kitchen and when i took out the sink base i had some leaking and called them back to see if someone could come. They came the next morning ( i put a bucket under the leak overnight) and fixed the problem and told me it was 20% off for Angie's list return customers. That job in the kitchen was only about $200 so that's a much better deal.

Went to hang file folders on the wall never stopping to consider what might be on the other side. Turned out I drilled into the washing machine drain pipe not once but twice. The staff on the phone were friendly and quick to make the appointment. The technician discussed the fees and work that needed to be done upfront. The work was done quickly and so far no more links while I do laundry. I plan to use Lifeline Plumbing for any future plumbing needs.
