We loved it. The travel guide was great. The motorcoach driver was wonderful. The places we went (LA and Cajun Co) were fun, informative and and interesting. We were very happy we took the trip.

I would easily qualify for a 9+ on a scale from 1-10 if it had not been for our tour guide getting to and from the airports in Chicago and Frankfurt. I can only say that she was a real novice. As one of the other people in the group stated, "This is truly organized pandemonium!". Some of the specific issues are:
1. Boarding Passes - Group or not, one does not get through security with only a ticket. I was told (and I challenged the information) that since I was with a group, my ticket would allow me entrance to the gate and get a boarding pass there. Had to go through the security line twice.
2. In Frankfurt, we were at a standstill for 20 minutes until our tour guide decided to ask an airline representative. Fortunately, we did make out flight.
3. As we were preparing to leave Zurich to fly to Frankfurt, we were left standing in a group wondering if we were really going to get our boarding passes as a group.
4. Was told there would be washing machines available. Had to pay six Euros to have a shirt washed.
5. Receiving my luggage four days into the trip is a story in and by itself.
The reason I did not receive my travel bag in Amsterdam was because of inaccurate direction. I arrived at O'Hare from Dayton independent of my trip on to Amsterdam. As far as my ticket was concerned, my trip terminated in Chicago. My plane arrived late, so I called the Mayflower guide for the trip stating that I was running late and all I had to do is pick up my bag and head to the international terminal. She stated that I did not need to get my bag; they would get it and onto the airplane. I actually challenged her on this, but she assured me that it would get to Amsterdam (this was Sunday). ... I finally got my bag on Thursday at 11:10 am. Of course I had to buy a few things and it was quite inconvenient.
Because they allow individuals to be tour guides when they have so little knowledge how to negotiate through an airport, I have no choice but to not recommend them for travel.
