From the initial call to the completion of the installation, this was a very positive experience. When their salesman, Jim first came out, he did a complete analysis of our home. He asked us about concerns we had with our existing system. He spent over an hour and a half at our home. He explained all the different equipment options and their unique benefits. The next day he provided us three detailed proposals for the different options. He helped us decide on the best option based on our concerns with our current system. The best news was their price was competitive with the other bids we received. The other two companies we received proposals from spent at most a 20 minutes at our home. Neither of them performed a detailed analysis of our home like Jim did.
The installation was scheduled at a time that was at our convenience. Mike from their office communicated with us to confirm the installation date and time. Their installation team (Kris and Dan) arrived right on time. Since I am retired, I was able to view the entire process. They laid down drop cloths to protect our hardwood floors and carpeting. They answered all of my questions during the installation. They explained the operation of the new system and thermostat at the end of the day. I feel like I received a HVAC crash course as a result. They did an outstanding job. We have had an opportunity to run the heat and the AC. The new system solved all the issues we had with our old system.
Their office took care of registering all of the equipment for warranty purposes and provided me the confirmation documentation from Carrier. They also took care of filing all rebate paperwork. We could not be more pleased with this company. This by far was the most positive experience we have ever had with any contractor performing work in our home.
From initial phone call to job completion these guys did a fantastic job. We have rarely found contractors of any kind that have as much pride in what they do as the crew from Fire N Ice. Kris explained how everything worked. He and DJ are stand-outs.
We called on Wednesday and they had Jim Michalek Jr. out the same day to give us an estimate and talk over the differences in the offered equipment. (Carrier). They were out by 7:30 AM the next morning to do the work. Their work was actually better than the original equipment installation done when the house was built. We were very happy to have the work done because we immediately had 90 degree plus, very humid days.
"Thank you so much for the positive feedback and noticing the pride we take in our work!"
"Thank you for your positive feedback and recommendation. We appreciate your loyalty to our company and look forward to helping you with all of your HVAC needs in the future! ~Fire 'n' Ice, Inc."
"It is unfortunate we could not provide an estimate after talking with you several times. You initially called asking for us to give an estimate at your son's house. You provided his cell phone number, which we called multiple times and left multiple voicemails for him. We never heard back from your son. When you called back, wondering why we had not given him an estimate, we informed you that he had never called us back. You then provided your daughter-in-law's cell phone number, which we promptly called. That call went to voicemail - we left a message, but never head back. Again, it is unfortunate you were not satisfied, but we did make a generous effort to contact both your son and daughter-in-law."
