We contacted Mike, and he arrived at our home within 45 minutes of calling. He determined what the problem was and contacted his parts service provider. Since the cooling coils were heavily frozen, he set up a defrosting process and left to retrieve the parts. He returned within one hour just as the defrosting process concluded. The parts were installed, and the refrigerator has been running like new. Mike's price was reasonable, and we will be contacting him for any future appliance needs. Thanks very much, Mike!

The service men were at our house for about an hour. They took our dryer apart to find that a ball of lint had gotten lodged in a piece of the machine and there was a incomplete combustion and that what was causing the odor. The guys were very knowledgeable and gave my husband a full tutorial of what they had found and where. We were very comfortable with the outcome. However, now our dryer does make a periodic ticking sound when it runs. The sound is not that loud and very random so I have not called Advantage Appliance back to take another look.

my washer died at 8am I called them at 11am, and it was fixed by 1pm that afternoon. My technician was prompt, and showed me what was wrong and what my options were for fixing the problem. I would absolutely use their services again.

Opened the fridge in the morning and it was not cooling properly. Found Mike on Angie's list and called him. He was able to make it to my house that morning and diagnosed the problem in minutes. He had the parts on hand and had the repair done quickly. Could not ask for better service.

Left message after hours on Thursday night, called back at 7:30 a.m. Friday morning to set an appointment to see my dryer later that same morning. Gave an honest diagnostic that the problem, while a minor nuisance, didn't need immediate attention. His assessment was well-worth the $69 trip charge. When the thing breaks for real, he will be the one fixing it!

Tom is an excellent HVAC professional and a pretty darned good handyman to boot. You will be very pleased with both Mike and Tom.

Mike was ready to come out the next day but I had to delay because of my schedule. He gave me a 4-hr window and came right in the middle. He took his shoes off without my asking. He resolved the problem in about 20 minutes, including running the machine through the fill and drain cycles to confirm the problem was fixed. He identified a problem with the routing of the drain line and corrected it. He provided numerous tidbits of info about the way the d/w works, and provided helpful advice about quantity and type of detergent. Another excellent experience with a highly-rated Angie's Listee. He also honored his coupon with no problem. I will be calling his company again FOR SURE.

We just moved into our house and had trouble with our oven not getting hot enough. Mike from Advantage Appliance came out right away and determined that our ignitor was not working properly. He explained to me what was wrong with the oven and a quick tutorial on how this new oven worked. He was friendly, prompt and did the work quickly and well.

My washing machine was making noises when going through wash cycle. He was so knowlegeable and nice. I couldn't have asked for better service. He fixed it so quickly.

We have a Garland free standing range that is at least 10 years old. Yesterday (Sunday) the oven refused to light. I left a message at Advantage Appliance Service Sunday evening asking if someone could take a look at it. Mike called back before 8am the next day (Monday) and said that though he's never seen a Garland Range before (they are no longer sold to residences -- well actually a company called "Bluestar" apparently makes an identical version now) he would take a look. He said he would be by between 10am and noon (the same day). He arrived at 11 and quickly determined that the igniter was bad. He had a replacement (igniters are pretty universal, and in fact the one in the oven was only about three years old) and quickly installed it. I also told him that the convection fan no longer worked. He took enough of it apart to determine that the motor was bad. His supplier doesn't carry parts for Garland nor Bluestar, but said I could find it online (I in fact purchased it from Bluestar a few minutes ago). Mike then showed me what I would have to do to install it - it should be easy. The oven now lights and we can get back to baking!! This repair call was one of the best I've experienced. Mike was prompt, efficient, easy to talk to, and didn't mind me looking over his shoulder. The price for the repair call and part were quite reasonable. He also grew up in the area where we live and had some colorful and fun history to tell! We'll definitely call Advantage Appliance Service and Mike again if the need arises.

Our overall experience with Advantage Appliance (Mike and Tom) was great . Timely, professional, knowledgeable just really great people to work with.

Mike returned my phone call within hours of leaving a message and was able to get out to my house within 2 days. We have a backup refrigerator so I told him it was not an emergency situation. He arrived on time and was very pleasant to have around. He was friendly and patient with my children who love to watch repairmen work. Our refrigerator is about 10 years old and I was wanting to get an idea of whether we should repair it or replace it. Mike showed me the part that had gotten burned out and talked to me about similar problems that he has seen with my same model refrigerator. He also talked to me about other things that might go wrong with our refrigerator, based upon experiences he has had with the same model. All of this information really helped me to make a decision to repair rather than replace. Mike had the part needed and made the repair right then. His visit was about an hour long. I am very satisfied with Mike's service.

Repair was done on time and quickly- I was asked for details on model before so he came with parts.

Mike returned our initial call promptly even though it was towards later on in the business day. He was able to schedule our service for the next day. We missed his first service call due to a misunderstanding of service time by 1 hour. Yet he managed to squeeze us in promptly on the same day without any problem. Once he arrived & after having a look at the refrigerator, Mike was able to diagnose the problem right away, replace the necessary part (adaptive defrost control board), then defrosted the all the ice formed on the back side of the freezer compartment with a hair dryer. The price was fair & reasonable as he did not charge us his full rate for the time spent to defrost the freezer, which was nice since we were able to use the refrigerator sooner than later. Very friendly & professional, reasonable service rate, definitely gets enthusiastic thumbs up from us!

I called at 7:20 am and Mike gave me the option of coming out in the morning or afternoon. I chose morning and he said he could be at my house within the next couple hours. He arrived around 8:45 and diagnosed an issue in the compressor that unfortunately couldn't be fixed. He advised me on my options, answered all of my questions, and offered his opinions on brands of refrigerators and various features. He was professional and friendly, and I was glad that he spent the time answering all of my questions instead of just moving on to the next job, considering the actual issue took little time to diagnose.

Mike came out quickly, gave me an honest assessment of the problem with my dryer, and suggested several options. Doesn't get any better than that :-).

When I called, Mike answered promptly. He was able to come on a day that I was available. He was prompt, diagnosed the problem - microcomputer versus control board. He matched the price that we had for the part and ordered it. He returned a few days later with the part and installed it. He also adjusted the top of the dryer so that it no longer rubbed against the drum, so now the dryer is much quieter.

Great prompt service! Mike was very courteous and patient in working with me to schedule the appointment to accommodate my tennant's schedule. I appreciated his flexibility regarding billing. I would highly recommend this company.
