Aquamist Plumbing & Lawn Sprinkling Co Inc

This was the worst experience I have ever had in regards to a home contractor. Aquamist had scheduled 8 hours at my home today, which would have been ample time to finish before my landscapers came tomorrow. They tried to get me to sign a contract before they even came to my home, and when they got here they tried to charge me $975.00 for a part that cost $315 on Amazon and every other website. BEWARE when dealing with these guys. After I declined to put in the controller they just picked up and left and didn't complete any of the other scheduled work. RUN RUN RUN

Service personnel went above and beyond in making sure I understood what was happening with the system, and brought it up to full working order. Extremely impressed.

As I just read on your website Aquamists reply to my complaint, predictably, Julie pasted a 2 sentence email in which they claim I agreed to an RPZ test, I feel it only fair to include my own copies of the trail of correspondence, the ones, I was accused of " cut and pasting". I have also included her response, as well as my final response to her. The public has a right to the truth. I would appreciate if you could post these as well. By showing that 2 sentence random unspecific email they pasted in the body of their email, it could be about anything, and incidentally, was the ONLY email I don't have, and I save every email on my Computer, they are all still there . Below are the emails I presented them with. Followed by the email from Ms. Tabloff, and the reason I felt they blocked me was because my Mac told me they were when it began sending messages back marked return to sender. Not well, when the system came on, 4 heads were not working, I called them , asked them to come back out and correct them, and to complete the job they invoiced me for. The woman said there would be a charge for this, and I was responsible for making sure all was working before they left. I stated that I was not home when the service was performed, and wanted them back out to correct it, or I would not pay for the start up service. She refused to do it and said I would be charged for another service call. I told them I would never use them again, and wont. I did not pay for the start up, but did pay them for the rain sensor they installed, which does not work as well. NOW THEY PUT ME INTO COLLECTION, THEY ARE A HORRIBLE COMPANY.

They are reliable and stand behind their work. The price is reasonable.

I contacted this company and two others through Angie's List. The first company whom I did not use came to the house before our scheduled appointment and threw together a bid. I contacted him to discuss and this guy was condescending and aggravating, The second company was very helpful and professional. Aquamist was also very helpful and professional. It took me awhile to decide and it came down to price. That is why I chose Aquamist. I met with Michael Buttron and we walked the property and discussed the landscaping that I was going to have done and how to set up the system. Michael was very helpful, informative and professional. He supplied me with a packet of information and the quote. Since I received the bid in July, there was plenty of time in between that and actual is installation. Any questions I either emailed or called and left a message. Michael was very good about responding promptly and helping me to understand. We split up the installation into two days as we were waiting for the permit from the Village. His guy showed up about 1/2 hour before he was supposed to. I am not a morning person and was crabby to the installer. I later apologized before he left. Michael sent an email stating his apologies for the installer showing up early. This gentleman was in and out of the house and was extremely conscientious. He removed his shoes and cleaned up. He was also very good about helping me to decide where to put things to not cause inconvenience or more work for me. The second installer showed up on the appointed day and time. His name was Frank and he walked me through again to make sure we were on the same page. He also made sure I had the boxes put outside where I wanted. Once his guys were finished, he walked me through again showing the different zones and how the water was being distributed. He then went through the entire control panel showing me the correct procedures. I was very impressed as the landscaper had planted some flowers and mulched beforehand. Once Frank and his guys installed the sprinkler heads, you couldn't even tell they had disturbed the area. While the second installer was here, I contacted the office to find out about final payment. I spoke to Jen who was very sweet and was able to expedite the payment process easily. As this system was installed so late in the season, I haven't seen it at work (of course months of drought and now rain all the time), but I am certain if I have problems, they will help.

I was very pleased with them. They did an outstanding job. They did the installment in the summer, they shut it down in the fall and they will service it again in the spring. They gave me a complete estimate as to what's expected and what they recommended. There fees are very reasonable. The service men that came in and installed the system were very professional and very efficient and did an outstanding job. I did not incur any additional costs and there were no hidden fees of any kind.

They are pretty good and the least expensive. I just picked them because they are closer to the house. There were two people who gave us estimate but they were the cheapest.

Brian, the Aquamist rep, was quick to respond, very professional, and a plaasure to deal with. He gave us detailed plans and tons of information on the system, and was very knowledgeable. We had a little problem scheduling--mostly driven by the weather--but once that was out of the way, the team worked professionally and courteously to install the system. They even cleaned up the yard and left it looking better than when they started!

I have been a customer of Aquamist since the mid 1990's. Each year I have them shutdown my sprinkler system in the Fall and restart it in the Spring. In addition they have repair any normal wear and tear items- sprinkler heads and leaks. I have used Aquamist all of these years because of my satisfaction with their service and people.

They charged me $95 for the job. They had originally installed the lawn sprinkler. So, I continued using them. Their customer service is good. They were the least expensive of all the bids I had received. I will use them in the future.

Once the system is in, I have to spend $95 to open the system, $95 to close the system and $100 to make sure the water does not act up. The last time they came, they did that fall winterization shutdown. They had installed the sprinkler system for us. They came in, measured the grounds, and gave us the estimate. We gave them the go ahead, and they did the whole house because the price was a little more than doing just the front. They were marvelous. I have had the system for several years and I have had no problems.

They are a good company. They are responsive. I had some issues with them when they first installed it. The sprinkler is supposed to go on at night. However, when they left, it was going off during the day. I went and looked at it at night to see why it was running during the day. All it was, is they set the time wrong. I called the office the next day and let them know that the time was wrong. Rather than send someone out, she was able to tell me how to reset the clock and that made it work correctly. I thought it was really cool that they were willing to work with me rather than make me wait days to send someone out. If you have a problem you can fix yourself, they will help you do that. I think that is very good. We have a contract with them and will continue to use them.

They were very thorough an neat about replacing the grass. They come out in the fall and drain everything for winter and also turn it back on in the spring.

I like them because they send a letter saying when they're going to come to your home to activate the sprinkler system, and they always do so when they say they're going to do it. They're very prompt and professional.
