This is one of those times I wish I would have just went with my gut day one and went elsewhere. They had someone out to measure our 1st floor for new flooring. We also were having an addition put on. They had numbers for existing and we provided the extra sqft needed with waste for the addition (360sft). They demand all payment long before install. They claimed they aren't a contractor so they want to be paid. Also wouldn't deliver product at time of payment and wanted to hold it until install date. After install they had over measured by almost 20%. We took the boxes back to them and they were accepted. Now its been more than a month that they have tried to blame us for the overage. First they claimed they must have accidentally delivered 20 extra boxes. So we provided footage from out security cam to show we got what we ordered. They it was a we must have had bad measurements..... even though it was there person who measured. Then it must have been a malfunction and these specific boxes must have had more sqft in them. Literally every excuse you can think of. Now we are onto them waiting for there rep to figure out the problem. Because it cant be there fault ya know of course. For the first three weeks the owner claimed the sales man Ariel never told her about the problem. She seemed to want to help on the first call but then she decided she wasn't going to help either. So now they have all the money paid. And the returned 20 boxes and we have nothing. They think this is a good way to do business. Now we have come to find out they installed the 100% waterproof floor in a way that voids the waterproof warranty. They just keep on riding the sinking ship. Do yourself a favor. Even if you buy from homedepot you will get better customer service and installation and you wont have to deal with Ariel or Kelly.

"Thank you for your review, we take every review positive or negative very seriously. We have been in business for well over 50 years, serving multiple generations of our customers families. We're very sorry you think we should have resolved this sooner, however we can't issue any type of refund until all the proper return authorizations are complied with. The room you decided not to have done after having us order the materials was not 360 s/f but rather 416 s/f + 8% waste, but that is beside the point. We tried to accommodate your project timeline via your blueprint and ordered the materials 3 months before your room was even built because you were worried about supply chain issues and price increases. If you think any company could have ordered EXACTLY what you needed under those circumstances, you'd be wrong. We deliver everything we sell, we just ask that there be a clean area for it to be stored in. We stand behind all the work stated on your invoice and assure you that your warranty is quite valid. Full payment is taken only since you decided to finance your project. You had the option of paying with a credit card which requires only 50% down. It was your decision to take advantage of the 0% financing program option we offered. Your unique refund will be processed very shortly, but until that time can come, we just ask for your patience. We did say it can take up to 3 weeks to complete the return process with the manufacturer. Again, I thank you for such an "honest review"....."

I purchased a metal table from Mayfair. The quality was poor and the table broke after just a few days. The staff was very unprofessional and continued to blame me and would not warranty their merchandise. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a store. I would never purchase anything from them again.

Ordered beautiful wood for our entire upstairs. Nice store, thought we made right decision till guys came out. They were in a hurry to finish to go to next job. Took pieces that didn’t match even though they ordered too much wood , 90 some pieces that are just sitting in basement now. No reimbursement because boxes were open. One guy argued with me and got hot, walked off the job. As he took his tools out he scratched the wood for spite I believe. Big scratches about 6 inches long. Sales person came out, seemed that his hands were tied and manager working with the installers didn’t say much. We were never offered a cash reimbursement of any kind or a phone call from the owner or anyone. Terrible customer service. Will never recommend them. Buyer beware!!!

Sofa started breaking down after 4 months. Was first told no warranty due to be being on clearance from tent sale. Reminded her she had sold it to us and said it had a warranty. Then was told maybe we were too **** ** it because she remembered we had a big dog. This would be the 6 month old Lab, currently at 51 pounds. Then told owners would have to call and they were out of town until the following week. Called the following week and owners still out of town. Was told to send pictures. Responded that pictures won't show interior of sofa. Told owner would call when back in town. It's been another week and nothing. I was willing to purchase a better quality, more expensive item, but guess my money will have to go someplace else. Totally amazed after all the years they've been around. I guess things change. Even a call to say get lost, would have been better than being ignored

Went to store the first time to talk explain the problem.  Person in the carpet department said they would have their installer call me.  I received no phone call.  After 2 weeks, I called Mayfair again regarding this problem.  They apologized for the installer not calling me, and they would have him call me right away.  Made sure they had my correct phone number, but 2 months later, I am still waiting.  Another company has completed the work.

The job was good, very good. The experience was good. I recommend them for their cost especially and likely their responsiveness. Service was just good. They were here when they said they would be here and they did what they said they are going to do and they did it for a good cost.

The sales person was very nice and very helpful. We got the chair in a reasonable amount of time. They had told us 8 to 12 weeks and we got it in about 6 weeks. There was a problem with the mechanics of the chair and they sent someone out to fix it. It didn't get fixed and they ended up ordering a new mechanism for it. They guy came out and put it in and now it is perfect. The sales lady called a week or two after the mechanism was replaced to make sure everything was going well and we were having no other problems.

We decided that Mayfair was the best and ordered up the carpet. We had our basement remodeled and wanted nice and durable carpet.Patick was very nice, no high sales pressure. We ordered the carpet, about 950 square feet. Within a day or two a very nice man came to measure. Patrick called with the final price. Very reasonable for this nice carpet and padding. Then 2 very nice installers came and put in the carpet. The whole experience was very good. I would highly recommend this store for its quality carpet and personell. When I have my upstairs carpeted next year, I will be going back. Its good to know where this type of experience is still found today.
