"Hi [removed member name]: Thank you for your review of our services. We strive for great customer service and we're happy we were able to help you. Mike & Marlene."
We had a fantastic experience with this company, and Mike and his crew were very easy and friendly to work with from start to finish.
I first contacted Mike one year ago, to begin assessing the cost of new carpeting and padding for our two foyer entrances and stairwells for our 12 unit condo building. He was able to visit our building the very next day to spec out the bid, and brought a sample book that showcased multiple brands and price points of carpeting. He carefully measured out the area, and I received his bid within two days or less, after his initial visit one year ago.
We then called him this month to finally move forward with the work, and Mike was very easy to work with, once again! He reconfirmed the pricing still held and the product we wanted was available, and he also brought an updated book on the brand we wanted to buy with current swatch colors for our consideration.
We got our invoice/contract in place within one day, and Mike was able to provide us excellent customer service. He accompanied the two workers that started the job on our premises, and was even kind enough to begin and finish all the work prior to even receiving our deposit from our management company that delayed mailing the down payment by mistake.
The installation went perfectly well, and took one day for the tear out and installation of the new padding, followed by another day of the installation of the new carpeting.
The two workers were very professional, courteous, clean cut, and very good at their jobs. Mike even went the extra mile by giving us some extra pieces of carpeting incase one of the landings gets worn, or an accident occurs that stains the new material. He could have charged us for this request, as it was a nice chunk of extra carpeting, but instead he threw it in as no charge, which we thrilled us!
The Windy City quotes came in much cheaper than other companies, presumably because Windy City does not have a shiny showroom full of salespeople. Mike handled all interaction, questions, and invoicing himself, and his responses were always quick and clear. When the installers came to perform the installation, they arrived on time, and it only took about 4 hours to finish because Mike had precut all of the carpet sections based on his measurements. Everything fit nicely, and there were no issues. They hauled away the old carpet, and they vacuumed the newly installed carpet, so everything was in great shape when they left.

Since my carpet was a prepadded carpet they told me it would have to be glued
down(and I assume they charged me for glue). When the installer arrived he said no they will not glue it down they will staple it in. My problem is that the seams are easily visible from a distance of 30 ft away, everywhere he put a seam looks like a patch work quilt. I was told that it was because the carpet had been rolled up and was compressed and it would fill out. It still looks like a patchwork quilt......

Mike initially came in to take detailed measurements. We asked for a specific carpet model, and he promptly sent us the estimate as well as the actual sample. Their cost was very competitive (we had 3 other competing quotes). From the time we confirmed the work to actual installation was <1 week. We had several contractors come in to work on our basement. Mike's team was the best in our view from the standpoint of professionalism, friendliness, and cleaning after their work.
