The gutters they laid unfortunately held the water instead of draining it, causing premature decay and lots of ice damming, which then created roof leaks and damage to masonry below. When I called them for support after the problems became obvious, they showed me the hand, and were not interested in making sure their work was quality. I would definitely recommend anybody working with them to be explicit in the contract about what success/quality looks like, and to get a strong warranty on their work.

Gutters did not drain water, they held water, and when informed, Windward did not feel accountable for the work they had done. Roofing was great.

Did not go well. Poor materials, loose shingles, many call backs. Poor clean up !

Once they were organized the work progressed quickly and we've not had any issues thus far and it has been through one rainy season thus far.

It was very difficult to communicate with them. With the work they did you had to keep the on task to keep it true to the quote. It took them a couple of visits to complete the work. We had to inspect the work to make sure it was completed. There was a definite language barrier with the tuck-pointers making it difficult to communicate. It was challenging because the supervisor was really easy to work with but the guys on site were not in sync with him.

With the roofing experience I thought it was extremely professional. They did really good work and stayed true to their work. They were very friendly. The cleaned up after themselves and were tidy. They were did the work and were done.

I called Winward to schedule an appointment for an estimate for flashing repairs. You are greeted by a voicemail with a list of about 10 different people's extensions. After I got to an operator, I was informed they do not give estimates on repairs. They will come and make the repairs and then bill you for time and work done. I didn't even bother to inform them of the porch roof. I've contacted 2 other Angies List roofers so far and have had no problem scheduling for an estimate for this type of work. I just purchased the property, so I really needed an overall evaluation by an expert, other than what was revealed in my inspection report.

My first dealing was with the salesman, Jason Burns. Living in a condo, it took several months to decide and vote on the type of shingle and color. Jason was always friendly and happy to help by dropping off samples and discussing with me all my questions. He never seemed frustrated with the process. I actually had fun dealing with him. His quote came in very reasonable, and with higher quality materials as far as the felt and metal being used. There was never any question as to what roofer I would go with. The job just finished and I am very happy. There were some minor things that needed changing, but they addressed everything in a very friendly, professional and fast manner. I want to say that Randi and Ceasar were also great to work with. I met with Randi for a few "walk-throughs," and Ceasar stayed late to fix some things for me. Raises to everyone !!!

We decided to replace the entire roof. Jason was extremely polite and knowledgeable, and was even able to fax/e-mail pictures and diagrams to help explain the issues. We had had two other contractors come out before them, who could not identify the leak. Jason was very responsive to any calls or questions we had, and they were prompt and clean in doing the actual work. We felt there were very honest with us, as they could have just told us that we needed an entire new roof without giving us any options. Very professional.

This was a great experience. Jason Burns was the account manager; he was very prompt and accommodating. He conducted a detailed roof inspection and then also returned to the building with John, the masonry foreman. They utilized an innovative solution involving roof ventilation to solve our problem. The crew was prompt, courteous and professional. They completed all of the work that was in the contract, and were very accommodating on a last-minute addition to the contract work. Jason was very helpful in working around my schedule for meetings and the initial evaluation.

We interviewed 10-12 roofing companies. According to our consultant engineer, Windward was one of the few who gave us an accurate picture of our roofing situation. They gave us a fair price, worked with us on hiring another company to add insulation and worked with us again when the tear-off showed some unexpected, but necessary tuck-pointing. They told us the work would take a week, and even with the unexpected additions and the July 4th holiday, the work took only one extra business day. Their clean-up was the best I've ever seen--they even watered our flowers to wash off the asphalt dust! We highly recommend Windward.

I WONDER WHY A COMPANY THAT HAS PERFORMED GOOD SERVICE FOR US IN THE PAST, AND WHOSE BILLS WE HAVE PAID PROMPTLY, WOULD SUDDENLY DECIDE NOT TO ACCEPT OUR BUSINESS. I PRESUME THAT IF THEY CONSIDERED THIS JOB TOO SMALL, THAT THEY WOULD UNDERSTAND THAT A PROMPT PHONE CALL TO THAT EFFECT WOULD PREVENT A PERMANENT LOSS OF BUSINESS.
