Touchstone Group Construction

My Husband and I reached out to a few General Contractors to inquire about pricing and installation for our Kitchen Backsplash. After our review we decided to hire Touchstone Group and are 100% completely happy with the finished product! The team at Touchstone Group is extremely efficient in communicating arrival times, work to be performed that day, length of entirety of project and if there were any concerns during installation throughout the process. TSG pricing was extremely reasonable and more cost effective than other Contractors. They worked with us to meet our tight deadline and did a great job! They were extremely clean during installation and left our house as they found it. Many contractors are difficult to get ahold of and often leave a trail of dust while working. TSG was easy to get ahold of and often reached out to us to keep us abreast of how the project was moving along and when completion would occur. In past experiences we've had to track down the contractor multiple times before even getting a response. This was not the case with TSG. We'd highly recommend working with TSG in the future as they are competitively priced and complete beautiful work within our agreed upon timeline and the staff at TSG is very friendly as well!

All around great work by a great team!!

The scope started out as replacing the tub, toilet, and tile in my 1920's garden unit condo.  The first challenge was I gave Touchstone a very specific time frame that the work needed to be completed in because my tenant was traveling for work for 8 days and they were working on the only bathroom in the unit.  The Touchstone team led by Jose were able to arrange their schedule to start the work the the day my tenant left. Initially I thought that I had no need to disturb the rest of the building because I have my own dedicated plumbing shutoffs for the bathroom (the condo association has some members that can be difficult when it comes to disruptions to the building from a single owner).  The guys quickly discovered that the cold water shutoff had seized up.  Because Touchstone is so familiar with how touchy condo associations can be, they were able to give me a very specific time frame in the mid-morning that I could tell the association that the water service would be turned off for my wing of the building. Touchstone was able to install a new cold water shutoff within the very narrow time frame that I told the association resulting in no complaints from the association.  Once the old cast-iron claw foot tub was removed, they discovered that the drain line was completely rusted and needed to be replaced.  Jose set realistic expectations with me that replacing the drain line may throw the project off schedule due to the complexity of the job (concrete had to be sledgehammered out  and re poured).  Jose provided pricing for the replacement cold water shutoff and replacement drain line right away for my approval.  The Touchstone team continued to work and somehow got back on schedule.  The project was completed on time and the results were fantastic!  

I can't say enough about how the Touchstone team's insight on dealing with the challenges of working in a condo made my project go smoothly.  I am very pleased with the quality of their tile work and their pricing was very reasonable even with the unexpected added scope.

The kitchen and bath rooms look amazing! Granite countertops, marble floors, wooden cabinets, crown molding, stainless appliances, garden tub!!! They honestly did more than I'd expected, and the finished product is high quality. I'll definitely be using them in the future, as we have several rental properties that are in need of some additional work.

The Touchstone team did an excellent job.  They were responsive when I called and efficient at getting the work done.  It was a tricky project since the toilet looked fine to me, but was clearly leaking into the unit below.  The team needed access to pipes so cut a sizable hole in the drywall of an adjoining room (the laundry room) so that the paint job in the guest bath wouldn't be marred.  They did their thing and closed up the laundry room hole very neatly and quickly.  It's been a few months and no further complaints from our downstairs neighbors.  

The next time I need any home improvements, the Touchstone Group will be my first call.

The projects were done very well and it was nice to have the contractor explain in detail the issue and how the project was completed. The pricing was reasonable and Touchstone was very nice to work with and very responsive.
