This contractor gets his work from general contractors and not the public, so his real customer is not you.  This is reflected in the number of reviews you can see on Angie's List.  He absolutely never treated me as a customer in any regard.
In my case he was referred from my general contractor as well.  His first consultation was him coming to my property without attempting to schedule any time to speak to me (I was not even home and had no idea he was coming).  So, I then called him and I had difficulty setting a time for him to come by.  He didn't like any of the times of the day I offered even though I said any day of the week.  He said he's busy and would only come when I wasn't available, so I had to take off work to meet him.
He didn't consult me on anything.  He selected the type of door and hardware himself.  He just sent me the price and it was so overpriced, I called my general contractor and chewed his ear off.  I quote "There is no frickin' way I'm paying anywhere CLOSE to that amount for shower doors."  My contractor called back a few days later and Top Glass dropped the price $500.
I finally spoke to him on the phone and he quoted me a price WHICH HE DID NOT KEEP when he met with me.  It was $50 more than what we had agreed to on the phone.  So, I said I'd pay the price we agreed on the phone and he would not do it.  He lost the business for $50 on a $1,400 transaction.  
Turns out he was STILL overprice by $450 for the same product.  And he couldn't install within 2 weeks. 
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.  I called GP Company and am very happy with the price, service, product, and experience.

The overall experience was great. We were referred to Hubert by a couple friends that were happy with his work and his pricing. So we called Hubert for an estimate. He came out the next day, measured our space and showed us a catalog with all the hardware for the shower glass. He helped us pick out hardware that would be most practical for us. He emailed the pricing next day and it sounded good. Even though Hubert came referred high we still took another estimate which was significantly higher. We agreed for Hubert to do the tprojec and a week after we had a new mirror and shower glass. The installation went without a hitch. Hubert's installers were prompt and professional. Since then I referred Hubert to two of my friends which were also happy wiht his work
