The Professionals Moving Specialists

I don't understand why these guys have an A on Angie's list. I had a very typical, very troubling move with them back in 2006. My estimate was extremely low, but the final bill ended up ~3x higher. They spent most of their time- unnecessarily- wrapping things up and charging exorbitant prices for it. They moved slowly. Once the move was complete, the foreman tried to overcharge me with bad math. Would never ever use them again.

They were really easy to work with and professional. They called me back right away and the response was immediate which I really like. They were responsive to some of the changes that we had in both our move date and the number of boxes that we had; they were able to change those things and give me a quote right away. They came in under budget so there were no surprises. The movers were professional and knew what they were doing so we haven?t found anything broken. They had a better price than other companies that I contacted and they were really great to move with.

We were so impressed with the timeliness, quick work and efficiency of the crew from The Professionals. Our move ? combining two households ??was a challenging one. We packed one truck ourselves and drove it in to the city. The movers packed their truck with the contents of a large storage unit. Then we got everything to our new building and got it out of the trucks and into the new condo without incident. They worked quickly and efficiently ??like a smooth machine. We were happy with the estimate we received, but our move wound up costing less because these guys got it done in less time than estimated. Always a welcome thing. We absolutely would hire The Professionals again.

The Professionals were great! We called and got a friendly representative who gave us a price quote and was able to get us a moving crew the meday which we had really wanted. She then promtply followed up with an email confirmation and details of the move. The driver called us 30 minutes in advance of arrival (as we had requested) and then showed up punctually. The three man crew was hard working, professional looking and very friendly. They completed the move within the estimated time and there was no damage to any items during the move. I would highly recommend this company. They were a pleasure to work with and very reasonably priced. We'll use them again the next time we need this type of service.

They were professional, quick and cost effective. The quality of their work was good and I was satisfied with their service.

We enjoyed working with this company. They asked questions without being condescending (we rarely move), and provided a good estimate based on the amount of furniture in the condo. There were on time and moved things out carefully, abiding by all the moving rules of the condo and apartment. They were very conscientious about not damaging furniture and literally panicked when they saw a chip in our dining room table. My mom reassured them that she put the chip in the table several years earlier herself and they were very relieved. The incident showed that they cared. No damage to any of our items and the move went very smoothly despite all the rain that day.

They did a fine job. If need be, then I would use their services in the future as well.

This is the second time that I have used the company and I have been very satisfied both times. The estimate process was easy and accurate; the movers were professional, timely and careful; and the price was very reasonable. I will use them again in the future without hesitation.

The company confirmed the date and time of my move in advance by email and phone. On the day of the move, they were 30 - 60 minutes early (arrived at 7:30 when I was told they'd be there between 8:00 and 8:30), and I was not quite ready. They said they could wait, but I told them to go ahead and start. They then asked what I wanted them to wrap up. I was confused by this question, since they are the movers and they'd seen the 3 flights of stairs they had to navigate--couldn't they just look at my furniture and tell what needed to be protected? I felt that, by asking me, they were putting the liability of any damage on me--i.e., if I didn't tell them to wrap something and it was damaged, it would be my fault. I asked them to wrap up a small corner cabinet that is delicate and valuable. The mover said, "With plastic?" and I said no, it needs something more than that. He said, "With blankets?" and I said yes. They also wrapped up some framed pictures at my request. The move was completed quickly and so cost less than the estimate but, afterwards, I discovered that a piece of wood furniture they'd moved had been damaged. I guess I should have told them to wrap it!

I had never used a professional moving company. After hearing countless horror stories, I searched online for good reviews before contacting the Professionals. The online form was very easy to complete and returned a very reasonable estimate. Shortly thereafter, I finalized arrangements for the move. The movers were on time, very quick and very careful with our breakables and fragile items. The move was quick and easy. They completed in less than the estimated time at the low end of the estimate.

Mauro and two others showed about 20 minutes early, which was ok. He called and let us know they were parked in the alley and were ready when we were. He was great and so was the crew. They carried everything down 3 flights of stairs from our 2 bedroom condo. 4 hours later the storage unit was stacked floor to ceiling neatly. Everything is still secured in the unit.

this was the second time I used this service.I was very pleased with the first service which is why i used them again. However ,the second time was a 180 degrees from the first.They showed up more than an hour late, arrived with an attitude and no apology.They were then unable to get the sofa to its final destination,saying it would not fit. I was not there but it makes me question their competency and initiative. Every aspect of the service the first time was outstanding. It's possible I just got a poor crew,but I have no choice other than thinking this company is hit or miss.

There are four words to describe The Professionals Inc. Moving Specialists.....PROMPT! PROFESSIONAL! AND EFFICIENT. The crew of Serafin, Noe and Cata were very polite, professional and extremely efficient in all aspects of my move. I was very impressed in the way they handled and cared for my furniture. They were thorough in wrapping what needed to be wrapped in stretch wrap as well as wrapping each item in pads. I will definitely recommend them to anyone and will use them again!!! GREAT JOB !!!

The best moving experience I have ever had! The crew showed up on time, were friendly and very thorough. They were very careful with all our furniture, wrapping each piece very well. They even came in under the estimated prices even with all the millions of things that we had to move. They put all the furniture back together and in the right rooms. Really, I could not recommend them enough.

Fast and efficient work that came in an hour under the estimate. These guys were amazing.

Movers showed up on time, were friendly, efficient and extremely professional. I was moved in earlier than scheduled and under the initial estimate. This was hands down the best moving experience I have ever had.

The movers arrived on time, 2 men and one truck. They prepared the furniture, wrapping it thoroughly with pads and shrink wrap. Loaded up, drove to the new location, moved it up 3 flights of stairs, and helped unwrap everything. The entire process took about 2 hours, which was what they had estimated. Because we had so few items to move, and we were so close to the minimum charge, they threw in the cost of tape and shrink wrap for free (they normally charge for that). Overall, I was extremely pleased with the service, and will use them again given the opportunity.

Overall, job well done!!! Would use them again and again..

The Professionals could not have been more helpful or accommodating. I called them on April 22nd to ask about the possibility of moving just a sleeper sofa a very short distance as soon as possible. I spoke to Mike, who was willing to waive the 2.5 hour minimum for me and was able to arrange for the move to happen the very next morning, April 23rd. He quoted me $165 for 1.5 hours. The movers were scheduled to arrive between 8 and 8:30am, and they showed up at 8am exactly, which was so helpful because, as I told them, I was only able to secure the freight elevator for use until 9am. The movers worked quickly and carefully, and I was very happy with the job they did. The total cost ended up being $180 because I opted to have the sofa shrink wrapped, which costs $10 per item, and the movers used 2 rolls of packing tape at $2.50 each. I was informed of these potential expenses at the time of the estimate, so the final bill was no surprise. Their ability to accommodate me on such short notice and to move such a small load was so very helpful. Their services were well worth $180!

We moved from one house to another. They were fantastic. They were extremely professional and respectful. They showed up on time. They were careful with everything. Nothing was broken or damaged at all. They follow directions very well. Our overall experience with them has been excellent.

We just completed some minor remodeling, which included building out a 3rd bedroom. The wood hutch was to be moved up 3 flights of stairs to the newly built out bedroom. After moving the hutch up the first 2-flights of stairs the movers informed me they could not get the hutch up the last flight of stairs without hitting the ceiling and causing slight damage. After I was ensured that the damage would be minimal I authorized them to proceed. Unfortunately the damage was not confined to the ceiling. In order to move the Elliptical machine they needed to disassemble it. I noticed after they left that the Elliptical machine would not turn on. I subscribe to the belief that it's not the problems you incur with a company that determine your overall experience; rather it's how the problems are handled. In this case The Professionals, Inc. far exceeded my expectations. When I called to inform them of my dissatisfaction the customer service rep was extremely responsive and helpful. The owner returned with the 2-man crew to assess the situation. The owner offered to have someone come out and paint the walls, which I politely declined because I was having a painter come back to touch up the new room. They fixed the the Elliptical machine and gave me back $100. I want to stress at no point did I ever ask for money back. Oh by the way, i got quotes from 4 different companies and The Professionals, Inc. was the cheapest by far. I will without a doubt use The Professionals, Inc. on my next move.

Excellent company. The upfront communication was excellent. The crew we had was Robert, Jesus, and Ni o. They did an excellent job. They were efficient with the move and nice to chat with throughout the afternoon. We would not hesitate to hire them as our crew for any future moves.
