Oscar is fabulous to work with.  I went to him with an expensive tile I found at the merchandise mart, and he was able to get for me at a much lower price.  I purchased Nu Heat for my bathroom floors and his pricing was very competitive.  He was great with helping me pick the tiles and grouts and pull the whole look together.  He is very patient and on the ball.  I'd highly recommend them!

We were doing a complete home remodel and Oscar was a huge help working with our kitchen and bathroom tile designs. He took the time to make recommendations and show us samples to help us understand what it would look like. We are completely satisfied with the products and recommendations Oscar provided. We felt good about supporting a small local business vs a chain or big box and we knew that we were probably paying more for the tile. Timing wise it was supposed to take a couple days to get the tie in, after a week I called and was told that tile was there for a while (would have been nice if I didn't have to call). I picked up the tile and assumed that the order was complete. However when I went in to look at floor tile I was told and quot;oh I forgot to give you the bull noseand quot; (again would have been nice to have been informed of this). Went back again to return a sample we inquired about some simple floor and the cost, the quote seemed high so we went to Lowe's and low and behold it was $6 more a square foot! Fast forward a couple weeks when our tile guy came and he told us not only did we not get all the parts we paid for, but the measurements we gave the store didn't equal the measurements we gave the store. I would assume that someone selling tiles would know how to calculate square footage. Never again.

Oscar was recommended to me by my contractor.  It was a little far to drive, but well worth it.  Oscar understood my vision for my bathroom.  Most others missed the mark. For a small store, it has a great selection of tiles.  Many that you don't see elsewhere and tons of color choices for accent tiles.  I was so afraid that I'd have a hard time choosing the right ones.  Oscar was great at helping me pick the perfect tiles to fit my asian spa design and to keep within my budget.  He suggested a niche instead of shelves (which I love!).  He even personally delivered the tiles to my house.  I definately recommend using Sauganash Stone & Tile Design Inc.

We went to a few other tile stores first, and were frustrated with the selection and customer service. Sauganash Tile is amazing! - Oscar (the owner) knows everything about tile, and is constantly searching the world for product and new ideas. He's designed his showroom so you can see tons of selection actually installed on the floor and walls. It made a huge difference. You can't find such a contemporary, wide range of product anywhere else in Chicago! He treated us like family, and sent us home with samples, even without a deposit. He called to confirm delivery and showed up exactly then. He's awesome. His office manager, Amber, who is also an interior designer, picked out grout for us and handled everything super fast. We can't wait to go back on our next project.

They have a great selection in a variety of price ranges. When I told Oscar, the owner, what I was looking for, he took me to a couple areas that had something similar to what I was looking for. They have a lot of their product tiling the floor, or faux bathroom showers, etc, so it was easy to see what it would look like on the wall (which was really helpful for me!). I wasn't sure what the tile would look like with our existing fixtures so he sent me home with samples, and wouldn't even think about accepting a deposit for them. I came back the next day wanting to look at another sample. Not only did he remember me, he remembered the tile I already had, and my description of our project. I called in my measurements the next day and he had them waiting for me on time when I went to pick them up. He carried them out to my car and loaded them up for me and told me that, even though the store was going to be closed for the holiday weekend for the next 3 days, if I needed more or had any problems, I should just call his cell and he would come open up for me so we'd be able to finish our project.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Oscar, his designer Amber, and the whole experience!
