Arrived when they said they would, found the obvious problem

When I called to report leaks, they never came back.

The estimate that they provided to me in the end was not as complete as the estimate from the company I ended up choosing. We didn't have an appointment. They just came by while I wasn't home and looked at the roof.

Reid Roofing offers a high level of experience, professionalism and customer service without overdoing the marketing end of things, or trying to sell you on extras. Their bid was very competitive and included a gutter replacement (this was an extra on all the other bids I received). They managed to schedule my job earlier than expected. The crew was punctual and did a good job cleaning up when they were done. The job was managed by Kevin, who did an excellent job on the communication end of things. Lastly, before the job began I had mentioned a problem with water coming in my top unit's front windows, not knowing for sure if this was a result of the old roof or something else. After the new roof was put on, the issue continued. Kevin came over to have a look, and despite the fact that this was pretty clearly a separate issue with the masonry and limestone, not the roof, he sent his tuckpointing guy over to seal things up at no extra cost. In his words: if you just paid for a new roof, we don't want you to have any leaking. That was truly going above and beyond, and was much appreciated.

Great experience. Kevin from Reid visited my house and listened carefully to me before checking my roof carefully and giving me two options. Of the four roofers I got estimates from, Reid was the only one that gave me an estimate for what I wanted rather than for whatever product or service they were trying to sell. Some of the others seemed to ignore my input entirely. Reid was less expensive than the others, stayed within the estimate, the work was done quickly, and the site was left completely clean. Very satisfied.

When the father, Mr Reid (I guess) ran the business, the quality, professionalism and price were exceptional. I used them for years when I needed roofing done. When his sons tool over, this all changed. and overall the company services and quality became average at best. I referred them to my next door neighbor and during the completion of THEIR roof, Reid Roofing workmen damaged MY house and used MY front porch to stage the project *without asking permission and only left after I called the father ( Mr. Reid) and sent him pics.. The damage was never addressed. The last time I used their services, I found the cost had increased significantly. The tar paper they used to repair looked to be sub quality from the ground. A week after the repair, two of the patches blew off. When I contacted them about it, they told me they did NOT grantee their work. Their father DID guarantee the work done by his company, however. Just the other day one of the sons stopped by and told me he felt bad about the job they had done a year before and wanted me to rehire them to do the job again. I told him his chance to make it right was a year ago when the patch failed within in a week or installation, and I would never rehire or refer them again.

On-time, professional, fair price. So far, so good.

Reid provided the lowest, and in my experience, the most reasonable of three estimates for this work. Other estimates ran as high as $8,000+. In addition, Reid was recommended to us as the best flat-roofers in the city by another service provider we have used for other work and regard highly. We have had Reid make small gutter/downspout/roof repairs in the past. Our condo board approved Reid to do the work. Reid hung in there with us when it took well over a year to find a landscaper willing and able to install underground drains per a structural engineer's recommendation for preventing stormwater flooding. These drains need to control rain runoff from our downspouts, which overfill our catchbasin during deluges and flood our building basement. Unfortunately, we did not have the landscaper's proposal until just before the 2016 holiday season. Reid scheduled the gutter and downspout as soon as winter weather permitted, so that we are ready for the predicted onslaught of spring rain. They arrived on time, first thing in the morning and were finished by late afternoon as estimated. There was no damage to our property and they removed almost every large and small scrap of old and new material/debris. We have had only one light rain since installation, but the system appears to work as desired/expected, i.e., no roof, gutter, and downspout leaks. (Only a deluge will tell us for sure.) Reid took pictures at various stages of the work and at our request, sent us those pictures so that our condo board could easily approve timely payment for the work. In retrospect, there is only one thing I would require Reid do differently, and that is provide a more detailed description of materials, i.e., xxxx feet of xxxx inches of galvanized steel gutter, etc. We received what we expected, but adding this detail would protect both parties.

I wasn't that pleased with them.

They tore off the roof over the sun parlor and reroofed it. The work was done the week before Christmas and, from the pictures provided for the work done, it went well. The workers came on time, and since it was very cold weather, three men came to do the work so they could complete it in one day.

Great. There price was very competitive, and the quality of work exceeded my expectations. I was initially concerned that a part of the room wasn't done adequately. I contacted Kevin, He took my concerns very serious and sent another crew to inspect the work and make sure that I was satisfied with the quality of their work. They also assured me they will stay until I am satisfied and if I have any concerns they will return at any time. I have used many contractors over the years, but Reid roofing is unusual they really care, and will not be satisfied until the job is perfect. I would use them without any reservation for any future roof work. I would recommend them without any hesitancy. Kevin is a great person.

Reid Roofing remains our go-to contractor for roof and gutter repairs and maintenance. As usual they were responsive and professional. They do quaility work at a fair price.
