On time, On schedule, On Budget. Work looks very well, and they provided extra paint to help when we get tagged. Other unit owners in our building have used them and I will as well. Extremely professional from start to finish. They probably aren't the most cheapest, but not the most expensive either.
As I said, the level of specificity in Red Line's quote was impressive, but more remarkable was the fact that they followed through on each detail. The weather, of course, required that Red Line adjust its work schedule, but not a moment of clear weather was wasted. Red Line neither rushed the project, nor did its workers dawdle. Red Line employees were professional and respectful of property owners and their property. They didn't play loud music, or shout while working. They cleaned up after themselves every day. And, even though there were several second-floor balcony railings to paint, they accessed all of them by ladders, avoiding any need to enter homes.
Of course, I'm just one homeowner in the HOA, and this review is strictly my perspective, but I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.
Jeff and his crew were professional from beginning to end. Jeff came by the house to complete the estimate. He was accessible via phone or email and responded back within the same day if not within the hour, depending on the reason for my call. They started the project on time and arrived on time (if not early) every day. Their crew consisted of 1-3 painters daily. I was slightly concerned that they would not finish in time due to this, but were able to complete the job on the date promised. Jeff and the lead crewman discussed my room priorities so they knew what order to complete the entire project. Jeff and I discussed color scheme during the estimate, and when he received my color choices, he contacted me to confirm that those were correct because it was somewhat different than what we originally discussed. That was very thoughtful of him. While Jeff wasn't there daily, he did contact me throughout the week to check in on how things were going.
During the project, the crew was punctual every day. They covered the floors and fixtures, moved and covered furniture, and patched up all holes in the walls before beginning to paint each room. And the end of each day, they told me what was completed, what was left to do in each room, and what the plan was for the following day. They tidied up each room daily, but it was a very dusty project, so we had to do a little more cleaning each day after they left. My only comment about this is that I wish they brought an industrial vacuum or supplies to assist with the clean up instead of using my broom and dustpan.
The paint job itself looks great. I have no complaints about the end result. They asked us to look at each room and make sure everything was the way we wanted it to look. I found a few spots where it needed a touch up and they fixed them before the last day of the project.
I would definitely use them again for any future paint projects as well as refer them to others.
My only complaint was that phone calls were not always returned promptly.
Red Line was excellent from start to finish. We contacted them about scraping and painting the railings of our front steps, and re-staining the stairs. Chris came by right after our contact to take a look, and promptly provided an estimate for all of that, including the columns at the porch and the small roof area and soffit above the porch. Although we had not thought about it, the estimate offered to put several new coats of varnish on the front door, which was getting weathered. We were pleased with the estimate. After we accepted and before the work was scheduled, Jeff stopped by just to meet with us to go over what they intended to do (and showed us how the original builder had not primed the stair rails, which is why they were prematurely peeling). I thought that the additional meeting was above and beyond . The work was done in an excellent manner, and very professional. The work was done over several days, with at least two people working each day, arriving early each time. They were very friendly and courteous. They even left us the leftover paint and stain! We are very happy with the job, and we intend to call Red Line when we get around to some interior painting!
It took them about 3 weeks to start the work. Once they started, they had large crews working full time even though
we were delayed by rain for 2 days. It took a 10 days to get them to do touchup but it was performed to everyone's
satisfaction. I would use them again.
