Very well. Power contracted with an excavating group which was able to locate the lines below an unanticipated eight inches of concrete floor. New copper lines installed with a large noted difference in water pressure and volume to third floor of a three flat. Very pleased with quality of work for such a large job.

James was just excellent. Both requests were taken care of in an hour, and he cleaned up upon completion better than expected. I requested an appointment, and in less than two hours, he was there. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I had called on Tuesday late AM, hoping to get an appointment on Wednesday. Rae was very pleasant, and could have given me an appointment on Tuesday if I had desired. She informed me that I would be the first appointment of the day and that she would call when the plumber was on the way, so I should be ready for an early (7:30ish) call. She called shortly after 7:30, and Scott arrived shortly. He was very pleasant, looked at the job I had done, and told me I was pretty close to getting it right (which was good enough for my first attempt). He showed me what he was doing at each step, and explained the tools that would be most helpful if I wanted to attempt to fix it myself next time. When he had put everything together, he filled both sinks to try to make sure that neither drain leaked. On had a slight leak, which he tightened and re-tested. When I explained that I was fixing the leak for a potential purchaser of my condo, he gave me some tips what to look for w/ furnaces, etc.

Plumber was professional, fast and friendly. Did a good job. It was a Saturday Christmas weekend so we had to pay a 2hr. minimum, but I didn't want a leak in my ceiling while I was out of town for 6 days. I'd hire again.

Excellent job. Old water heater finally gave out. Power Plumbing was able to come out within 1-2 days to replace with new one. Was not an easy job considering the old water heater was not easy to get to/remove. Instead of needing to reroute plumbing, workmen improvised and "smashed" old water heater to remove from location with ease. Impressive and time saving especially considering such an old house. Overall, very professional, cleaned up after work was done, and would use again.

That was all I needed (I'm a widowed 72-year-old woman). So the condominium board of directors will have to hire someone to come out and fix the drain as well and seal up the drywall so it doesn't happen again.

This is the second time I have used Power Plumbing and both times I have been very happy. The first time was in April, 2006. Each time I have called to schedule they have been very pleasant and efficient. Both times I got a call from the office letting me know the plumber was on the way and the ETA. Each time the plumber showed up on time and was very polite and knowledgable. Mike, who came today, wore surgical booties over his shoes so as to not get my floors dirty! He got the work done in no time. He also provided me, at my request, an estimate on replacing my hot water heater breaking things down by price of the water heater (with two options), miscellaneous parts, and labor. I was very happy with their service today. They will continue to my plumbers!

I walked into my guest bathroom to find water heavily leaking from the ceiling around 4:30 pm. I called after hours and they recommended what to do in order to stop the leaking until they could make it out. I was heading out of town and needed neighbor above home also. It worked. They arrived Friday when scheduled, did the work in a timely manner and waited to make sure it was resolved. I asked a few other questions unrelated to the problem at hand. He was more than willing to offer his advice. This was my first experience calling and needing a plumber and I was truly pleased!

Overall it went very well. I called at about 8:30 in the morning and was told a plumber could be out before noon. As it turned out it arrived well before that, and the job was completed by 10:30. The Plumber (Mike) was extremely friendly and took care in fixing the leak and explaining the problem.

Our ejector pump went out on a Sunday morning, minor flooding in the laundry room. We called Power Plumbing, saw their ad in Angie's List mailer. Excellent response time. They informed us that work on a Sunday is at double the hourly rate, which we quickly wanted to avoid. They walked us thru how to ensure which plumbing areas in the home were affected by the ejector pump outage and avoid using those areas until they could send someone out the next morning. We had to call in first thing Monday morning to get on the schedule and they sent a plumber out in a couple of hours. Prompt, excellent service, very knowledgable and professional. Gus performed the work on site. The plumber on the phone on Sunday was a woman (sorry can't recall her name) and she was incredibly knowledgeable. I would definitely use Power Plumbing again.

They were great. They came highly recommended and lived up to that expectation.

Rae Piccioli was very friendly on the phone and put us, the customer, first. Our ancient water heater broke last night and she was able to send Gus out to us today at 5pm. We had to pay time and a half but well worth it that they could come out so soon! Gus was on time, extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. He removed our old water heater, put it in the garage, put in the new one, and cleaned everything up, including breaking down the box of the new heater and putting it in our garage. Reminded us how to use the new one and said we could just put our old one out with the trash (we have City of Chicago salvage pick-up) so we weren't charged for removal. Overall just thrilled with the experience and going only less than a day without hot water. Loved the 10% off labor coupon too! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Although Power Plumbing & Sewer Contractor Inc. did not perform the work that solved my problem, they took the time to discuss it with me and review my options. They very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. Ultimately, they referred me to All Power (773-429-1169) who was very prompt, knowledgeable and courteous. I would recommend both companies, although I was only serviced by All Power.

They were going to charge to come out and look at our basement that flooded instead of a free estimate so we used another company that did free estimates.

Power sent a service guy out who arrived on time. After he inspected the faucet and showed me what he thought was the issue. It was a break or leak in the copper feed pipes, that required a new faucet and 2 to 2 1/2 hours estimated repair time. He also would only do the replacement of the faucet if I bought the faucet from them!?? So Power quoted me a new faucet $310 and repair time $280, for a total of $590. Would it make sense for me to go through them to buy a faucet that is under warranty. I called Moen they shipped a new faucet for $70. I called a different plumber to installed at a low rate. Handyman came out replace one part and not the entire faucet for $139!! And the leak was fixed. Power Plumbing showed me their inexperience serviceman, lack of knowledge and ability to scam a customer. Thanks!

The plumber was courteous and professional. He did a comprehensive search for the source of the leak and when he found it, he was able to quickly fix it. He was clean and organized and we were very pleased with the result.

Very good experience. The service man was prompt, courteous and took a lot of time explaining what he did and answering my questions.

Serviceman showed up on time. Beforehand, we had been warned that because our new sink was deeper than our old sink and our new sink was an under mount vs. old sink being an self-rimming that we could run into problems with garbage disposal fitting with our existing piping. Repairman determined that garbage disposal would not fit and it would require significant time and expense to properly lower pipes to accommodate disposal. We decided to have him install a standard drain so we could again use our sink and to deal with disposal issue separately and at a later time. I asked the serviceman for an estimate of what depth sink he thought we needed to accommodate our disposal and he refused to provide any guidance, which was disappointing. Ultimately, the faucet and drain work fine. The install took a little longer than I expected and thus cost more than I expected, but it's hard to complain when everything is working properly.

James thoroughly examined the possible causes prior to breaking into the walls. He made several small holes to pinpoint the problem. Which in the long run saved us a lot of money in drywall repair. He showed me exactly what was wrong. Where to have the carpenter open the walls and remove the molding. So that the reconstruction would be easier. He returned exactly on schedule and fixed the problem in less time than was originally estimated. He's fantastic. They have been very responsive. After having terrible experiences with other plumbers in Chicago, it was so refreshing to find someone who is honest and professional. They actually know what they are doing. I will never use anyone else.

Very responsive and showed up on time. Not using them, but they gave me some great ideas.

Dave at Power Plumbing told us they would not dig without trying to rod the line themselves. That would have cost us an additional $700, which we had already paid to someone else. While there was a chance that Power Plumbing could have rodded the line that the other plumber couldn't, it didn't seem worth the $700 risk.

I had to wait a few days for them to call me back for an appointment but once they did, someone was out the next day. The service guy was really nice and took his time explaining the problem to us. We also had some concerns about our water heater. He was going to look up the model and send us an email to let us know how old it was. I never heard back.

They have a great phone service, they sent us a representative the same day to fix the leak. The plumber (Matt?) was very pleasant and helpful, answering a few questions that we had regarding damage from the leak and even showing us how to properly use our humidifier (which had been off).

I called on Monday and they were able to send someone out the next day. I was told that I would be the second appointment of the day, but they couldn't give a more specific time than before noon (which made me nervous). However, the dispatcher called around 7:30 AM and said the plumber would be over in 30-45 minutes. Gus showed up half an hour later and completed the work in an hour. He was very professional, showed concern about not damaging our shower, and cleaned up after he was finished. They honored the Angie's List discount. I didn't really shop around for a better price; I was more concerned with getting someone out quickly. At any rate, even if there were less expensive alternatives, it was worth it to me to get a contractor who can provide fast service and shows up when promised! It looks like the drain is emptying well.
