My kitchen sink backed up while cooking Christmas dinner but I couldn't find anyone to come out until the next day. I called Power Plumbing in the morning and the receptionist was pleasant and gave me an approximate time and fully informed me of the costs of the proposed work. She took both my home and cell number and told me she would call. About 4 hours later, she called and told me that the plumber was on his way. The plumber (Mike) arrived on time and donned shoe covers before coming into the house. He identified the problem and rodded out my drain. He was very pleasant, professional and did the work without leaving me a mess to clean up. He also noticed that the water coming out of my faucet was low in pressure and he fixed that problem as well!

They did a nice professional job. They explained everything that they were doing. If we need any plumbing work done in the future, we will use them.

When I called to make an appointment, my wife was fed up with the faucet leaking more and more, louder and louder and the scheduler had to juggle appointments to fit me in the following day. Later in the day, time opened up and I got same day service. Great! A friendly, competent service man arrived and did the job well. What I found disappointing about the call was that twice the service man had to go down to his truck to get parts one might have expected him to carry with him. Once it was to get two adapters to allow larger pipes to be connected to smaller pipes (1/2" x 3/8"). Later, he had to go to the truck to get compression fittings. I have seen tradespeople do these little runs to make a job last longer than necessary. In this case, the job took a little longer than one hour. To the company's credit it billed at 1-1/2 hours rather than 2 hours. At the end, the service person tidied up after the job was done.

Very professional and nice. Still need to come back for the next steps, but overall a GREAT experience with this company. I will use them again and again.

They opened up the wall in-between the shower and washer. All hot and cold water lines were on outside walls, so they froze during cold weather. They re-routed the water lines in the bathroom and the adjoining laundry room. They cut out the existing three handle tub and double bowl vanity. It took them three visits to complete the job. All the piping was 1 3/4 inches piping ("M" copper). Everything was done in a neat and orderly manor. My only complaint was the price. They recommended someone to help with the work, but the person they recommended cost almost as much as there person. I rejected the first person and chose the second person.

Initially called and was told to have water heater 'stats' available for accurate quote. Once that info was given, they gave me the name of the water heater they would sell me and how much it cost; how much in additional parts are usually needed and a range of hours it would take as well as an hourly rate. I had a very specific time in mind and they did a very good job scheduling an appointment for the time I required. I got a call before the plumber arrived. Plumber was friendly, helpful and made sure to show me whenever he found something amiss. Range was set at 3-6 hours and he completed the work in 4. Very good experience overall.

They did a service call, and replaced toilet on next visit.

The plumber arrived on time. He was professional, but friendly. The work was completed promptly and the repairs are holding up. He asked for cloths to clean the bottom of his shoes, but still ended up leaving tracks on the carpeting. When it came time to settle up, he indicated that he preferred a check to the credit card I planned to use (even though their listing with Angie says that they accept my credit card). He was on the job for a little more than an hour, but charged me for 1.75 hours.

They were very booked, but got someone to come out within 24 hours. They were extremely helpful and responsive. Gus came out and let us know it was not a seal and that the drain should be fine. We paid for one hour time, and considering their response time, knowledge, helpfulness and the piece of mind we were left with, we were extremely pleased. It is the third time we used them and would DEFINITELY use them for any plumbing issues. Gus gave us some advice on a few other questions we had as well. Really a great company.

We talked to 4 plumbers about this work. Power won the contract on a combination of price, expertise and service. While it took a little longer to get someone from this firm to do the estimate, the shop's foreman (Dave) is the one who came out to do it. He was very knowledgeable, polite and patient. The people back at the office and the men who came out to do the work were also polite and service oriented. The guy who did the work even arranged his schedule in order to be sensitive to the work day needs of the people in the building. In the end, the work was done within the time and price estimated and to our satisfaction.

They were great and I will hire them again.

A 5-minute fix to the stopper in my drain was stretched into almost 2 hours of unnecessary work and a $208 bill because the plumber said he was unfamiliar with my type of sink. It was hard to believe at the time and now realize it was probably a lie. He also tried to get me to purchase an new drain and faucet system (completely unnecessary). Upon taking apart my entire drain apparatus (also unnecessary), the plumber damaged the wood shelving under my sink with a caustic material. I didn t notice it until after he had left so I informed Power Plumbing about the damage, sent photos and requested a refund of the cost of services for my inconvenience. Expecting a friendly call to make things right, their rep. berated me and said the damage had occurred prior to their plumber's visit (absolutely false) and with heated words he implied that I was a liar and they would not be refunding the cost of services. This man displayed highly unprofessional, extraordinarily rude behavior.

I called Power Plumbing after another plumber never called me back. When I explained the problem they offered to have someone come out late the following week. When I mentioned that I was an Angie's List person, and that I was really hoping someone could come sooner, they scheduled me for Monday (it was Thursday). Two guys came out. They seemed very knowledgeable and conducted themselves in a very professional manner. They spent a good bit of time trying to figure out how the piping in the basement had been done, and then finally rodded the line from the catch basin out back. They waited to make sure everything was working properly before they left. They also had some recommendations about work that needs to be done in the catch basin. They showed me what the issue was and were very good at explaining things. I was very satisfied.

The plumber showed up an hour later than stated. He was quick and courteous. The new pump was installed and immediately operated as stated. Overall good experience.

They knew what they were doing. They did their job and left. I would use them again.

We were having a party in a few hours and our basement was flooding. They came out within an hour of my call, made the repairs, cleaned up everything and were on their way. The guy was really nice. Exceptional.

It was the middle of the night and they were very nice about trying to talk me through the issue before making an expensive emergency call. When it became clear that I could not fix it on my own they sent someone out. The plumber was very professional and fast. He got my drain running and pointed out what was the likely cause of my problem.

Power's estimate was for the most drastic repair for my catch basin: a complete rebuild with new concrete blocks. The other estimates were for just tuckpointing, and were therefore much lower than Power's (I may have asked to have the catch basin "replaced" rather than "repaired"). Furthermore, the estimate indicated that if the bottom of the basin needed replacement, the price would be $4220 (an additional $720; I appreciate Power spelling out a contingency in the estimate. I hate surprises). I decided to go with another company that had estimated just a tuckpointing; I did not request a new bid or clarification from Power. I found the office staff to be pleasant to work with.

The gaskets were worn in my sink faucet. I bought a new faucet just in case it needed to be replaced. Scot came on time and was very efficient. He replaced the gaskets and washers in both the hot/cold and fixed a problem in my bathroom sink while he was here. The entire job took one hour and I was very pleased I did not need a new faucet. I called on a Thursday @ 7:30 for an appointment and he was able to come by 12:30. I was very pleased and he also pointed out some other problems and possible adjustments. The plumbing was installed by the previous homeowner and is not all up to today's standards.

With two days notice, they were able to commit to a window of time concurrent with a previously scheduled water shutoff in my building. They were prompt, polite, responsive and efficient.

Called on a Monday to get a shut-off installed before a new dryer was being delivered. Gave me a basic quote over the phone. Work was performed Thursday morning. Took a little longer than expected (about an hour and a half of billed time), but the plumber also checked our other lines, and hooked up a stove that wasn't hooked up yet. Was very nice and professional. Hourly rate a little pricey, but very good plumbers.

I was in need of getting a plumber right away, as we were having a guest stay at our house in a few days. I called/emailed several companies and Power was the first one to call me back early in the morning (around 8 a.m). Other companies called back but it was after I had hired Power. The person on the phone was very nice and I scheduled the plumber to come out that day. The plumber showed up on time and was very personable and quick! He even asked me if there were other things to check out in the house, since I was paying for the hour - and so I had him check a very slow bathroom sink faucet - and literally a minute later it was fixed. He also advised moving a water heater a few feet as it was installed improperly by another plumber years back. I am very impressed by this company and would use them again.

They have 24 hours service, and they are an outstanding company. I know the trade and realize that it is better to pay more to someone that knows what he is doing, than to spend time trying to save money.

You can save a lot money with them. I am very happy with this company. They are very clean and honest with you. I will hire them again, whenever I have any other plumbing service problems.

They always do a very good job and what they do, they do it quickly. We are very pleased with this company, and we are glad we are members of Angie's List. We found them there. It is a company we would recommend.
