Power Plumbing called 15 minutes before their scheduled arrival to let me know the plumber, Jason, was on his way. Jason was very friendly and courteous when he entered my home. He asked me what were my issues and then he proceeded to fix both problems in a timely manner. He fixed the Water Heater in a few minutes and then determined that my garbage disposal was clogged and did not have to have to be replaced. While making the repairs, he explained to me clearly and in plain English what he was doing. He also answered my various plumbing questions and was very patient. After he completed all the work, he cleaned up and left the work areas in good shape.

Since my handyman couldn't fix my issues without breaking into the walls, I wanted to be sure these guys could fix the problem reasonably. They refused to do an estimate and instead wanted $140 for the service call (incl. 1 hr. of work), plus $115/hr. for every extra hour. I told them I would call elsewhere.

Great. When I called, they gave me several options on the type of water heater that would best suit my home. I had done some research before the call and their recommendations were spot on and they didn't try to sell me something I didn't need. Their dispatcher gave me a courtesy call the morning of the appointment and the 2 man crew arrived on time.

My toilet was leaking from the bottom of the toilet - I knew it was most likely the wax seal at the base of the toilet, but couldn't lift the toilet myself to take care of this problem. Found Power Plumbing through Angie's List and had a wonderful experience from the first call - the woman who answered the phone listened to my description of the problem, asked me questions, and was able to get an appointment for me the next day. I was told the cost for labor for 1st and subsequent hours, plus reminded I get a 10% discount on labor because I called based on my Angie's List look-up. Mike was great - took care of the leaky toilet/wax seal in 20 minutes, which left time for him to put a new flapper into the tank (which I'd needed for awhile). Very neat - he cleaned up all of the debris from the old wax seal, all water that had come out from under the toilet. I would definitely hire Power Plumbing for any future plumbing needs.

Initial call to the company was pleasant. They provided their rates over the phone as well as the Angie's List discount. They said somebody would be able to get here by noon. I received a call within two hours that the serviceman was on his way. Scott arrived within 25 minutes. He was very courteous and professional. He took the time to explain the problem and was very thorough. I especially appreciate how very clean he kept the work area during the potentially very dirty process. He completed the work in just under 2 hours. He probably would have been done sooner had I not interrupted him with questions. I was extremely pleased with his work. Highly recommend them on this one experience.

I was initially told on the phone that I would need to plumbers to come out and rot out the sewer to fix the sewer smell. We later decided just to have one guy come out and see where the smell was coming from. As it turns out, it was all we needed. He fixed the two potential sources for the smell, a drain under the dryer and an unsealed pipe.

He was WONDERFUL! He was quick about his work, gave me pointers on how to avoid or correct the situations in the future, and figured out solutions that were cost effective. I was VERY pleased with him!

It went fine. They arrived on time, and had described the work to be done before quite accurately. Everything was clean after the work was finished and I have had no problems since.

He showed up in the early end of the 4-hour window for my appointment, which was nice. Power Plumbing called to say he was on his way. The plumber was friendly and neat. I had originally wanted to have shut-off valves installed on my tub, as well, but he advised me that the pipes I have are the wrong size, so I should wait until I do a more general remodeling. I also asked about having a recirculation pump put on our hot water return to try and keep more hot water in the pipes (I live on the 3rd floor of an old 6-flat). He said it probably wouldn't do much good. It was a shock to get a bill for $136 (after the Angie's List 10% discount) just to replace a tiny washer in the valve-stem, which took him maybe 10 minutes.

They are very good. The prices are standard and fair.

The service man showed up right on time (I am horrible with names). He cleared the clog and had the new disposal installed in about 40 minutes and could not have been nicer. I was expecting the same lecture I got from my father and brothers about onion skins down the disposal, but he just gently suggested that I trash or compost them next time. He even left the cabinet under my sink cleaner than its been in years.

Fantastic! Both calls were on rental properties that I manage and both calls were after hours. The first was a Saturday night and after trouble shooting a few things over the phone they sent 2 guys out who not only fixed the problem, but also took the time to explain everything to me. They were very helpful and helped me to understand why this happened as well as what we could do to prevent it. The second one was a water leak/broken pipes. Same story after hours they tried to trouble shoot on the phone then sent out a gentlemen who was very helpfully and fixed things right away.

One word: TERRIFIC. To be honest I was terrified to hire a plumber. Unfortunately the trades can get a bruised reputation from all of the horror stories I've heard which is why I ultimately got five estimates. Dave made the best impression of anyone. He spent a long time looking at every aspect of the existing plumbing and was extremely detailed in his assessment of the job. The bid was on the higher end of the price range but not the highest of them all. The gas line was not included on the original bid but they were willing to negotiate that into the contract. Once work began, it was a near seamless process. Jason and Vince showed up early and worked full days to get the job done on time. They were extremely professional and very accommodating to the electrical work going on around them. They cleaned up after themselves and took time out to explain different aspects of the what they were doing, I would absolutely recommend these guys to anyone. They do plumbers proud.

They did a good job and fixed the problem. I would use them again.

Excellent. Everything from scheduling the job, to the on-time arrival of the plumber, to the installation and billing. OUTSTANDING!

It went well. I have used this company twice before and they are consistently good, friendly, professional and efficient.

They were able to come the same day, and even before overtime kicked in, which I appreciated. Fixed problem quickly and successfully. My only complaint is that he didn't take off his shoes or wear protective booties, which would have been appropriate given the abundance of snow and salt on the ground that day.

I think it went pretty well. They told me up front it was going to be a big job and take more than one day with two guys. One of those days happened to be the big snow the first week of Feb. They called in the morning and asked if it was OK to come Sat. That was fine with us. Gus and Vince were both very nice, knowledgeable, and easy going. Where they had to cut into my dining room wall, they made crisp clean cuts (which after our electricians went in with a hammer and left a war zone this experience was so nice!) and left the area covered to keep my 2yr old out of the open wall. They cleaned up the dust and debris and even asked for a mop to wipe up their wet foot prints on the hard wood floors. I would definitely use them again. The only thing I sort of question was that they charged us an hour for the 15 minutes they came to look at and bid the job. Maybe I am wrong, but I always thought that initial visit was free, or if there was a fee it was waived if you used them.

We are very happy with the work he did. The one thing that was strange looking back was that he suggested to leave the pipe disconnected to the outside faucet so that we could replace the faucet with an antifreeze model at a later date. This seemed to make sense at the time but now we realize that we need to complete the work before fixing the hole in the ceiling. There is just one inch of pipe missing and we now have to pay for another plumber to come and complete the work. This is doubly frustrating because for the emergency call out we had to pay a 2 hour minimum at time and a half even though he only needed 45 minutes. He could have spend an extra couple of minutes to complete the work. I have been trying to get the company to come and fix it for the last week but they are not returning my calls so I had to get another company to come and complete it which costs an extra $150.

Top quality customer service AND plumbing service. We had water show up in the basement literally hours before I was heading to the hospital to give birth. Power Plumbing helped us to determine over the phone if it was dangerous to let the problem sit overnight, gave us the option of having someone come over immediately and then squeezed us onto their schedule the first thing the next day. Pricing was reasonable and the service was terrific. This is the 2nd time we used them and I would recommend them without hesitation.

They did an excellent job. They were very professional and pleasant. He was knowledgeable and got the work done quickly. He even gave me a history of my toilet model and informed me on how to keep this problem from happening in the future.

Work was 100% as expected. Arrived on time (after a follow up call), had the necessary items with them and work was totally complete in under 2 hours. Cost was exactly as quoted (including Angie's List discount) - although I was surprised to be charged for a tarp/drop cloth (nominal $$ - but seemed like it was nickel & diming and could be used multiple times). Plumber was timely, courteous, professional - and left area picked up and clean. Would definitely recommend this company.

They returned my phone call promptly. I called on a Thursday and they were able to come out Tuesday. Received Angie's List discount and was generally pleased with work performed.

I had my shower handles replaced recently by another company. I used my shower for about two weeks and then the hot water would not turn off. So right before Christmas I called the previous company back to see if they could return. They were closed and on vacation. Well I was not about to have my water turned off all weekend because they were out of town. So I looked up Power Plumbing on Angie's list and called them. They had an emergency service and were able to send someone out. David Lamb from Power Plumbing not only fixed my problem but treated me with respect and explained exactly what went wrong the first time. The other company did not fully and completely replace the broken handles all the way through. Now my shower works great every time!
