PMG Carpentry

I was extreme satisfied with the repair of my deck. The job required removing the trex material from the top of the deck and replacing the rotted wood that was no longer supporting my deck surface adequately. The job was completed with the highest degree of measurement accuracy and the highest quality materials were used. The crew was very professional and communicated very effectively. The job was done in quickly and efficiently so that my plants and my family could enjoy the summer sun on our new and improved deck surface!

Lucas's bid was thousands less than other contractors so I was happy to start the work with him. He and hs assistant removed the existing deck and stairs in short order so that other contractors could repair the stucco on my house and later after that was done, he came back and built new cedar steps in the front and back.
He did a good job, though they seemed to rush getting the front steps done and mis-drilled some of the holes on one of the treads. However, I am confident he will remedy this when he returns from a trip out of the country.

Update: Lucas refused to do anything about the mis-drilled holes in the front step. He offered to 'fill them' but in a climate like Chicago, wood filler is certainly not going to stay put for very long. He claimed that since I sent him the final check, it was now not his responsibility to own up to shoddy work.

I now would no longer recommend him to anyone.

The entire process from getting an estimate to the finished project went extremely well and without problems.

It was truely a nice experience working with PMG Carpentry. 

After receiving multiple estimates for a new deck, PMG Carpentry was not only the most knowledgeable and helpful,but also the most competitive with their pricing. I could not be more satisfied with our new deck. Their design made the most of our available space and far exceeded the other design concepts we received. Lucas was an absolute pleasure to work with. The project was completed ahead of schedule and flawlessly. Lucas was very thorough in making sure the deck work was going according to our specific requests. PMG Carpentry took what could have become a very complicated project and made it so easy for us.

PMG overall is a very well organized company.  They have wonderful refrences, and exceeded expectations.

They came out with best looking website on Google, searching for decks. Called them up for estimate and they showed up on time as scheduled. Seemed well experienced, knowing what he does best. He advised us on best options for our backyard deck. We also compared prices with 2 other companies and found it very competitive. We checked his previous projects and decided to work with him. Job was finished on time and to our satisfaction. We also got a nice bonus for early start this year.
